First I want to already say sorry to people who remember the previous attempt, especially the first part of this story is very repetitive of what was my previous attempt, but don't worry, in the end it will all be worth it (I hope)

Chapter 2, mysterious sights

The winter has now truly arrived in adventure bay, the pups have been quite busy helping people out of snowy situations, but let's be honest, it's a team of pups, they have fun as well.

Chase, Marshall and Everest are separated from the rest, chasing each other down as they explore the forest, due to the snow it's easy to see where an animal has walked, therefor spotting animals is easier, especially the deers because they don't fit into the white surroundings at all.

At some point the pups are quite far away from Jake and Everest's home, but Everest now seems to be looking for something.

'Where actually are we going?' Chase asked curiously.

'Yeah *sigh* that's a *sigh* very *sigh* good question *sigh*.' Marshall reacted, breathing heavily as he tried to keep up with the two faster dogs.

'I spotted something the other day that I've never seen before.' Everest answered.

'So that's why we are running all this way, to look at something that is probably very normal in our world?' Chase asked.

'Not that all of the things that exist in our little place are normal on the rest of the earth.' Everest reacted.

'She's got a point, and besides, you never know if it's gonna be one of those space rocks again that gave us mighty pup power back in the day.' Marshall said.

'Yeah, I do really miss having those powers, but destroying the meteor was the best option, now the chances of someone getting their hands on the meteor power is near impossible.' Chase reacted.

'That's why I wanted to check this out with at least someone else.' Everest said.

'We're you scared to check it out alone.' Chase joked.

'Yes.'

Everest stopped running making chase stop and Marshall run into him.

'Don't you guys see what happens when you protect, the longer you protect something the smarter your enemies get. It makes us vulnerable, and I wouldn't say your look out seems well protected either. You guys are literally almost starting full blown war with those guys, get what I'm saying.' Everest said a bit irritated.

'I didn't think you'd see it that way.' Chase said. 'But this is what we do, this is our literal job, to help the people of adventure bay, what else are we supposed to do, sit back and watch the town be ruined within literal minutes, not me.'

'How long before someone gets badly injured, or worse.' Everest reacted.

Chase looked at Marshall, who didn't really want to give an answer. 'What do you think?' Chase asked Marshall.

'I can't deny her words.' Marshall answered nervously. 'But your also right, what else are we supposed to do.'

'Anyway, we are getting distracted, we'll talk about this later again, but first I have to show you what I saw.' Everest said, trying to change the subject.

Chase and Marshall agreed and the dogs continued on their path. Not much later Everest slowed down again and the pups sat behind a bush looking at the area, protected by so many trees you can't even look from the ground to the sky.

'Woah, what is that?' Marshall commented.

'The exact reason I brought you two here, because I honestly also have no idea.'

'This is cool and all, but what are you guys actually looking at?' Chase asked.

'Wait you don't see the weirdest thing you've ever seen with your eyeballs.' Everest asked.

'I don't know what you guys are seeing that I'm not, maybe you two are seeing something that doesn't exist.' Chase said. 'I do see this weird marking on the ground over there, is that what you mean?'

'Are you just colorblind or do you need more sleep, you don't see the weird colors coming from that weird symbol?' Everest asked.

'I just see that weird marking on the ground, nothing else, so whatever you guys are seeing right now, it's not real, get out of your heads, get back to the real world.' Chase said, abruptly ending the conversation.

'Maybe your right.' Everest said.

'Good.' Chase reacted.

Chase turned around and started walking back towards where the pups came from, Marshall and Everest made eye contact.

'We need to meet again tomorrow, if this is really something some can see and some can't, we have to get to the bottom of this.' Everest said.

Marshall was a bit skeptical, but he agreed. As the dogs started following chase back to the group however, Marshall felt watched, he heard something from the bushes, but Everest tells Marshall to hurry up, and so the pups leave back to the group.

That night Marshall thinks about the dream he had earlier, he recognized the symbol on the ground with the one he saw on the ground at that weird sight. It wasn't the same tho, it was just a little different. And who was that mysterious figure he saw? The next day Marshall meets up with Everest in the forest close to where the mysterious sight was.

'How was your night?' Everest asked.

'Couldn't sleep, kept thinking of some kind of dream I had earlier, the symbol at that sight looked a lot like that one, but it isn't the exact same.' Marshall answered

'I had that dream to! I also couldn't really get it out of my head last night, all of this is so suspicious, why can't chase see it, and what exactly is it? So many hard questions.' Everest said.

'There was some mysterious figure looking at us, I couldn't make out what kind of animal it was, but it seemed to watch us as we left.' Marshall remembered.

'Hm weird, I had such a feeling we were being watched to, but couldn't find out where it came from.' Everest said.

'How do we ever find the answers.' Marshall nervously asked.

'I think it might be at the sight.' Everest answered

'You want to go back to that weird thing?' Marshall asked nervously.

'It's the only way we will get our answers, come let's go.' Everest said, trying to motivate the Dalmatian to tag along. Which worked, Marshall carefully followed the husky back towards the mysterious sighting.

'Look.' Marshall said.

'What?' Everest reacted.

'Paw prints, seem doggie like.' Marshall concluded.

'I agree, is this where you saw the mysterious figure?' Everest asked.

'I think so yeah.' Marshall answered 'So, what are we going to do?'

'I want to know what it is.' Everest said.

'You want to go towards that?' Marshall asked

'Aren't you the one to run towards fire when everyone else runs from it.' Everest said.

'Okay, you've got a point, let's go.' Marshall decided.

The pups carefully got closer, checking their surroundings, Marshall felt watched again, but he didn't see anyone. As the two pups got closer the wind suddenly picked up.

'Do we continue?' Marshall asked.

'Yes!' Everest answered. 'No going back.'

The pups now stood right in front of the symbol on the ground, the wind was still going strong, the pups looked at each other confused.

'Here goes nothing.' Everest said.

Everest put her paw on top of the symbol, the symbol lit up in cyan. Then Marshall took the step and the symbol lit up red. Both pups felt powerful all of a sudden. Then the wind stopped and the peacefull enviroment returned. Marshall and Everest were very confused, they didn't have any words for what has just happened, so because of all the confusion, they decided to just go back to Jake's mountain and pretend it never happened.

Meanwhile from the buches, a mysterious pup watched the whole scene unfold, it was very shocked by what it had seen, but it knew what this ment, the story weren't fake, they are real...
