Chapter 5:
Cake was now utterly confused by the way Fionna was acting. One day she will be happy go lucky, the next she will be struggling. It usually was around Gumball or Marshal. To be weird around the Vampire King was a bit strange, but she wasn't the best with boys ever since she started liking them. She would always get all weird and awkward.
Especially when Cake told her about the different tiers of dating.
Today was one of the weird days. She had an amazing idea to cheer her up.
"Hey girl, to cheer you up, let me make you spaghetti. I know it's you favorite. How does it sound, girl?" Cake offered. It usually worked to cheer her up. She never could figure out why though, but to be honest, nowadays she didn't even care.
"Sure, Cake. It sounds really good right now."Fionna said as Cake walked into the kitchen.
It was working well. But that didn't surprise Cake one bit. It always does the trick. Ever since Fionna was little, nothing would cheer her up like a nice plate of spaghetti. Not even ice cream or toys. Cake smiled as she remembered all the times that she had to make spaghetti for her just to make her smile.
Cake started boiling the water, and started making the sauce. It was her mother's recipe. Her mother gave it to her when she just turned into an adult.

Fionna was feeling a little better when she got some spaghetti in her. She was thankful that Cake was there to comfort her. She was happy that her big sister was there to make her feel better at anytime of the day, unless they were going to the beach.
Ugh, man she hated the lumping sea. That's the one thing she will not do at anytime. Though Marshal tried really hard to help her get over her silly fear… which hadn't help at all, but it was good to be with him through the whole time. But Cake when crazy bonker's when she found out. It was funny to see.
She finally smiled at the thought of him. It was the first time she did in at least 3 days. She was in a funk for those three days too. She didn't know why.
Cake was happy that she was smiling once again, she just didn't know what it was for.
Good thing Cake wasn't sick anymore, because if she was she wouldn't have mentioned the spaghetti. "Now that you feel better lets go and see what up with Prince Gumball." Cake offered as they finished their food.
"Sure, let's go. I have a few things to tell him anyway." Fionna stated, as she grabbed her green bag and walked out the door with cake. Little did they know Marshal saw them and followed.

Marshal didn't know where the two adventuresses' were going but he was going to find out and crash that visit. He was surprised that Fionna was completely unaware that he was following them. Usually she would that gut feeling that she was being watched or followed and stop in her tracks, turn around and punch him in the arm then get hurt for punching him, you know since he was rock hard.
But since he was in the in the forest, they probably didn't know that he wasn't there. Which was good, because he loved scaring Cake.
It was easy to keep track of the girls since he could hear Fionna's heart beat. Hers was so distinct he would be able to hear it from a mile away. He had his umbrella and gloves ready to see where exactly they were heading. And by the looks of it they were going to… to, gulp… Gumball's palace. He did not want to go but he did. He was so confused he couldn't stand it.
I mean, Fionna should be his. Gumball had his chance, and he didn't take it. Marshal wasn't going to let some pink candy freak steal her away from him.

When Gumball opened the door he was surprised to see Fionna and cake standing there auguring… again. Fionna was the first to realize that the door was open, "Oh, hi gumball. we just came to see what's up, and I needed tell you something." Fionna said as she walked in to the castle with the cat following her. Gumball closed the doors behind them.
Gumball wasn't surprised to see her, but he was curious as to what she had to say.
