Just as promised Traveler and Paimon bring Ayaka to their journey leaving Thoma to take care of Ayato who is in hiding.
On their way, they meet a shrine maiden wearing a mask. She didn't tell them her name but instead tell them to use the electro-infuse attack to hit the statue.
"This is so fishy," Paimon said
"Where will we get electro?" Ayaka asked knowing that Traveler can only use geo and Anemo while Paimon can't and her only cryo.
"Oh that, Traveler here can also use the power of electro!" Paimon stated surprising Ayaka.
"How? Using one Vision is ordinary but using two and now three..." Ayaka said getting a headache.
"Ha Ha Ha, don't underestimate Traveler he can even use 100 vision if he wanted to." Paimon proudly said and Ayaka sighed when the traveler told her that she was just exaggerating things.
"Hey! I'm not! you're really strong!" Paimon childishly said and the traveler didn't mind it and instead engulfed one of his fingers in electro and put it on the statue.
Marks appear at the fox statue "Woah" Paimon and Ayaka were amazed. The shrine maiden then speaks to them. "I was right you are the destined one. With your skills and experience may be...this shouldn't be a problem~
Before she could continue Ayaka asked something "I'm sorry but what do you mean by a problem? Oh my name is...~~~" she almost said her name she forget that she is being hunted.
"Excuse my rudeness. My name is Kazari, and I'm a shrine maiden. I'm glad to meet you Kamisato-Sama" she said surprising Ayaka.
"Do shrine maiden wear masks?" Paimon wondered. "I'm not sure but I remember seeing one and I can tell that they don't," Ayaka replied.
"... I have my reasons for that" Kazari replies and she told them about the Konda village having some kind of unknown barrier.
The trio then heads inside the village. "Traveler I don't know for sure but... isn't it fishy?"Ayaka asked.
"Paimon wondered that too, why did she ask us to do something before telling us the pay first!" Paimon shouted instead.
"It's all fine, I'm not here for the pay. I'm curious about the mission so I accepted it even though I know there is something wrong in the very first place. But I'm the Traveler I'm always ready for what's to come" he replied.
"Hmph! Then how can we eat without mora" Paimon asked suddenly she look at Ayaka and an evil smile formed on her face.
"Hehe" Ayaka awkwardly laughs at what Paimon is doing. "Don't mind her Ayaka she's always like that" he said
"Hey, I'm not always like this!" Paimon retorted making Ayaka laugh a bit.
The traveler even though it didn't look obvious, is sneaking a peak at the white-haired female lady, and of course not one of the two notices.
In Konda village, Ayaka and Paimon was the one who talk to the villagers about the information about the barrier.
They found out that there is an old well here. The traveler easily finds the well but it's locked. "I'll just destroy it" before he even smashes it into pieces Ayaka and Paimon stop him and tell him that they know where is the key. "Okay, I'll wait here" the traveler replies.
"Are you okay?" Paimon asked worried "I'm fine, it's just a key so you two can do it instead" Paimon nodded but he could tell his body is quite shaking.
After a minute of waiting, they finally returned and of course, Paimon have dirt on her face while Ayaka's kimono have scratches on it. "You get into a fight?
"Yeah, some samurai and treasure hoarder is joining hands together. I need to take a look at it later" Ayaka said as it is the job of the Kamisato clan.
"Let's go," he told them as they get down the well. "There's too much stench," Paimon said
"And the variety of insects and cobwebs" Ayaka added.
Getting down there, they saw the barrier but there is no electrogram nearby.
"What should we do? Ah maybe we could get electrogram outside and bring it here" Paimon suggested.
"No, it always has a duration, getting here already takes us almost five minutes so it won't work" the Traveler replies observing the area.
"Uhmm...
"What is it Ayaka?" He asked
"There is an electro Seelie up there. Maybe it could help us" she said pointing at the very top of the broken woods.
"That's right Paimon remembered it! If you follow a Seelie it will lead us to a treasure! Maybe it could help us find an Electrogram" Paimon explained.
"Ok then, I'll go~
"Wa-wait traveler you need just to stay here me and Ayaka will deal with it. Right, Ayaka?" Paimon winked
"Yes we'll do it instead," Ayaka said while looking at the traveler.
"Are you guys throwing me away" Traveler sighed as the two laughed.
"Okay let's do it Paimon!" Ayaka shouted climbing the wall while Paimon is just floating beside her.
Traveler on the other hand is forcing himself to look down because of the paradise up there. "Hehe, hey traveler look up here! There's a dragon!" Paimon shouted making his lookup.
"There's no dragon y'know," he said silently cursing her. "It's white," he thought.
"Gotcha!" Paimon shouted as Ayaka finally touch the Seelie it flew very far away. "Let's Follow it!" Ayaka said as she follow the Seelie running around the room and then going up and down then going far again and returning as an Electrogranum tree appears.
"That's exhausting," Paimon said and she look at Ayaka who is panting heavily. "Wait Ayaka is this your first time~before she could continue Ayaka shouted in an embarrassed manner "YES!"
"It can't help she's a royal" Traveler and Paimon thought at the same time while Ayaka is embarrassed at getting tired easily and even falling to the ground while chasing the Seelie.
"Ha Ha Ha, everything fine now so let's go," Traveler says as the two follow it. They found themselves in front of a big sakura tree but with a curse.
"What are we going to do here?" Paimon asked. "The ward!" Ayaka said
"Ah, that's right Traveler where's the ward?" Paimon asked as aether is reluctant to hand it on to her.
"Don't worry we won't lose it" Paimon said as he just sigh and he hands it over.
Paimon then purifies one of the spotlight-looking things as suddenly another four appear and an electro drawing appears in front of them.
"A puzzle" Traveler said
"That's right, we need to adjust the order to look like that" Ayaka said pointing at the front.
"Okay too easy!" Paimon playfully said as she randomly adjusts the other four and after that use the ward again to activate the electro signal but sadly nothing happened. The spots just returned to their previous order.
"Easy huh?" Traveler smirked "hmp! I'm just joking," Paimon said.
"Then it's my turn," Ayaka said as she carefully observed the puzzle first.

Two minutes have passed she finally moves to adjust it. When Ayaka activated the ward the electro signal did connect.
"Woah! You're a genius!" Paimon shouted as she smiled.
"It's not yet done," the traveler said pointing behind Ayaka. A dark-looking creature appears "it looks like a Nobuyoshi" She said preparing her sword.
Traveler is going to step in too but Paimon told him to wait "why? I wanna fight too" he said. "No! Just let Ayaka deal with it! Right, Ayaka?" Paimon winked at her again.
"Don't worry traveler I can fight it?" she said as finally attacked. After several minutes of fighting and several minutes of Paimon's running around dodging and trying to hide from the clash.
"It's all done," she said as she put her sword back on her sheet. "Are you okay?" The traveler asked approaching Ayaka who have bruised on her face and a lot of dirt on her clothes.
"Yeah I'm fine" she replied smiling as she almost jumps in shock when the Traveler grabbed her hand.
Just by his touch, Ayaka blushed madly. Traveler tends to the wound on her hand. "You better be careful next time, we do not have any first aid," the traveler said after patching her hand with a piece of cloth.
"Th-thank you" she shyly responded hiding her red face while Paimon just aw.
"How about Paimon are you not going to ask if I'm okay?" Paimon playfully said as aether just look at her dumbly. "I only see you run"
"... shut up! Hmph!" She childishly acts again.
Suddenly the trio heard a voice. They look around at its source and saw Kazari "Very Impressive"
Paimom surprisingly yelled
"Eek! When did you...
"I was right to have my eyes on you. You are indeed qualified to perform the cleansing." She said looking at the traveler but he shrugged "it was Ayaka and Paimon who did the job so I guess you're talking to the wrong person"
"No, you're the one that needed. They are just here to help and support you" Kazari said "hey! Paimon is not a helper!" As Ayaka just smiled.
"I was quite concerned as to your actions, and as to whether you could heal the roots or not, so I have been observing you a little. If I have offended you, please forgive me." Kazari said.
"Observing...but I didn't see anyone watching us" Ayaka pondered as Paimon nodded.
"Who are you?" Ayaka asked with her guard up. "As you can see. I am a shrine maiden who wishes to cleanse evil with your aid. You have helped me greatly by being able to undo the barrier." She said.
"Please excuse me. Let us get back to business" she said as the trio nodded.
"As you may know, the Thunder Sakura trees symbolize the eternal watch of the Electro Archon, and they have the power to remove evil and purity the earth. However, the polluted tree root will eventually be corroded, and the tainted section will form tumors, one after another. That is why we must perform the cleansing ritual. Unfortunately, my... physical conditions prevent me from accomplishing this deed"
She explained.
Ayaka and Paimon looked at each other as they nodded. "Allow us to help you!" Ayaka stated.
"Thank you so much. As for the location of the next barrier. You can visit the abandoned shrine nearby. It's not far northeast of kondo village. Due to certain circumstances. I fear that I cannot go with you" Kazari said.
"How will we meet then?" Paimon asked.
"The sakura on the east and west banks differ in speed, and the flower of the north and south branches vary their bloom. However, everything on this island is under the Sacred Sakura's shade. So long as petals still fall like snow upon this island, we will surely meet again" Kazari replied as she wished them the best.
Second Barrier
"That Kazari said so many confusing things though I wonder if all people in Inazuma are all like that" Paimon wondered.
"Not at all. It's mostly those members of clans or the maiden who are mostly like that" Ayaka said as Paimon looked at her intensely.
"Hmm...but I don't hear you talking like that...ah wait! I heard you talking like that when talking to the soldiers and other Inazuma people but now that you are here. You're not... you even look...clumsy" Paimon silently said the end sentence.
Ayaka doesn't know how to reply though. "That's better I prefer that kind of Ayaka," the traveler truthful said making Ayaka blush and Paimon grew a smirk. "Ehe aren't you going faster right now huhuhu" Paimon teased as she laughed. "Shut up I'm just saying!" Shouted Taveler "EHe denying" Paimon laughed a lot and Ayaka smiled at the two.
After bickering like a child they didn't notice that they are already at the next shrine until Ayaka told them. "Well, time to search the area for clues!
Just like earlier the traveler just watches them do the job. Ayaka explained the situation to the shrine maiden at the foot of the young mountain and the maiden give her the Momento lens that she and Paimon use to find secrets and even deal with a lot of ghosts.
The traveler on the other hand doesn't feel bored at all waiting. If he were the one who does the job then he could clear it in less than an hour since he already has the experience.
But for him, it's interesting and funny seeing Paimon and Ayaka get together and even see their clumsiness. After an hour they finally cleared the second puzzle and Kazari's voice can be heard.
"Again, three of you have my thanks" A voice can be heard. "yikes!" Paimon was surprised while Ayaka just smiled as she is already used to it.
"Why are you following us again? Couldn't you just say hello?" Paimon asked
"I guess she had her reason, but still I admit that I didn't sense anyone watching or moving earlier...even now I don't sense anything either" Traveler stated surprising the two.
"Even now..you didn't sense anything?" Ayaka wondered as she tried to focus on Kazari but can't sense her at all even though she is just in front of them.
"Hey, Paimon don't understand!" Paimon shouted
"It's nothing Paimon." He said "hey!" She childishly yelled.
"Anyway, the barrier here has been undone successfully, and thus does the Cleansing Ritual come to a step closer to completion. Thank you very much" Kazari said.
"What's the deal with the sacred sakura tree anyway? Is it the same Cleansing you asked us to do earlier?" Paimon asked a question
"Miss Inagi also mentioned this before and we also found the book called a summary of the Sacred Sakura Cleansing" Ayaka mentioned as she remembered the shrine maiden who give them the Momento lens and found a certain book.
"Which Paimon didn't understand at all" Paimon said as she couldn't understand what the book is telling even the traveler or Ayaka.
"People can't read it nowadays? But it was written in the common tongue...
"People nowadays? Hey, just how old are you?" Paimon asked with her childish voice.
"Wha-hey that's very rude of you," Kazri said making Ayaka laugh a bit. "What do you mean by that?" The fairy asked.
Ayaka then replies "There is a phrase that doesn't ask girls their age, it's very rude"
"I see then my bad wait... what's wrong with that!" Paimon shouted confused at everything right now and Ayaka just laugh it off.
"...anyway, The Sacred Cleansing Ritual is a rite of purification. The thunder Sakura of Narukami Island can absorb the filth within the earth. But over time, that filth will accumulate. If too much filth accumulates, The Thunder Sakura may wither. Therefore, it is necessary to perform some minor purification on the roots. This way, they are given the power to remove the accumulated filth" Kazari explained as they all nodded.
"So when there is enough filth accumulated in the barrier, it becomes necessary to perform the Cleansing Ritual? Am I right?" Ayaka asked.
"Yes, that's right" Kazari responded.
"Paimon gets it too! So, when performing the Ritual, we'll need to use a Ward to break the barrier over the tree roots." The floating fairy said.

Ayaka murmured while thinking

"According to records, when the sakura tree was left unchecked then Monsters appear, and even the seas turned black, The Thunder Sakura tried their hardest to absorb all the evil and filth, and they almost died in the process" she explained.
"What happened after that" Traveler asked.
"That thing that comes after... I'm sorry, but I'm not familiar with them. Either way, the present situation tells me that the problem was resolved in the end. Someone performed Sakura Cleansing Ritual" she thankfully said
"But you said there are five places," Ayaka said. "Thanks to your efforts two barriers come undone and I know you guys are tired so...
Kazari said handing some dishes to them. "Whoah! It's so delicious!" Paimon remarked.
"That's right," Traveler thought "Kazari i...
Ayaka asked but she saw Kazari nowhere anymore.
"Where is she?" Paimom asked "let's hurry up. We need to finish the other three barriers faster before night time" Traveler stated as the two nodded.
Third, fourth and Fifth Barrier
The trio I mean the Dou successfully finishes the third barrier since the traveler just watches on the sideline but this time the traveler guides them that's why the barrier has been undone much faster.
After that, they meet Kazari again and tell them about the daughter of the Hakushin bloodline. The kitsune Saiguu.
At the Fifth Barrier, the same thing happens they again meet Kazari.
"Miss Mask Maiden, we're back!" Paimon enthusiastically said.
"You did a wonderful job. I can hear the Thunder Sakura root singing your praises...I have something to confess to you" Kazari looks at the traveler.
"No! There are no slots left! Ayaka already occupied it! " Paimon shouted protecting the traveler from the shrine maiden while Ayaka just blush.
The traveler just sigh "don't mind her she is just Paimon being Paimon "
"Hey!"
"Anyway, what is it?" Ayaka wondered what the shrine maiden is going to say. The shrine maiden then told them that when the Traveler first acquired the Kondo village ward, she didn't have full confidence in his virtue and courage at that time. But as the ritual progressed he even exceed her expectation...
"I'm quite sad thought. If there is someone like you near the kitsune Saiguu side then perhaps...
"Perhaps?"
"Nothing I'm just rambling things."
"So that's a wrap, Then... what's our reward?" Paimon greedily asked
"Hey, Paimon didn't you forget that we accepted this mission knowing that there's no reward? Ayaka told her

Before she could continue Kazari speaks
"As expected of the one who could easily lift the five barriers. You can see through things like the moonlight piercing the clouds. The Ritual has one more step to go."
"One more?" Paimon tiredly asked especially with no reward at all.
"As a price for protecting the land and absorbing the filth, miasma will accumulate in the roots. You have lifted the barrier and defeated the demons created by this defilement. Just as the Grand Shrine has its branches. The Thunder Sakura is just the side branches of the Sacred Sakura Mt. Yougou. The five roots are the main parts. Most of the filth they absorb has in fact been transmitted to the Sacred Sakura, deep within Mr. Yougou" She explained
"So the most important thing is the key to the last Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual is the last step, which is to lift the barrier over the Sacred and purify the miasma that has accumulated in its roots over the years." Ayaka guesses it right which gets a remark from Kazari.
"Eh ehe. Ayaka is a genius" Paimon remarked.
"Then let's do it, but this time I'll join" the traveler stated.
"No! Traveler Ayaka will take care of it again!" Paimon knocks his head off.
"Ouch...
He looks at Ayaka who has a muddy appearance and wonders if there is still a sense of girliness in her knowing that she's too dirty right now and has bruises everywhere.
"Nope, at least once, I want to fight alongside Ayaka" He firmly stated not caring about Paimon who was bickering a lot.
"I... I'm fine with it" Ayaka replies. "Ayaka you too?" Paimon cried like a child she just smiled in return.
Last Destination
"What's that?" Paimon asked looking at the gigantic root-generating bunch of miasma that it makes hard for them to breathe.
Suddenly the miasma formed several monsters defending it. "Hehe, I guess I gotta go run now. Ayaka traveler goodluck!" Paimon shouted as she flew away to hide and watch.
"That fairy...
"Hehe, I guess this will be the last battle for us" she smiled.
"Your speaking like this is your last day," the traveler said.
Ayaka unsheathed her sword and infused it with cryo, a very dense one as Coldness travels the air. "That's not it, I'm just saying that it would be the last fight with you and with me together" she replies.
The Traveler makes a solid footing by preparing all of his elements. Since he hadn't yet gotten a new sword, he'll just use his elemental capabilities. He doesn't want to risk dying by making a golden sword again.
"Don't worry this is not the end, the vision hunt decree isn't over yet...so we have a lot of time fighting together" he stated making her embarrassed but she shrugged it off and focused on what was in front of them.
"Hehe I would love to," she said as the monsters attacked at the same time. "Show them your power Ayaka, I will take support" she nodded.
"Hai! I'll do my best!" Ayaka shouted dashing toward the crowd of monsters. Traveler makes a sliding foothold made of geo as Ayaka runs through upon it as she jumps higher and then "KAMISATO ART: SOUMETSU!"
The moment she shouted that she point her sword downward making five swirling storms of icy wind that hit anyone on site.
In just that attack it killed several opponents making their way to the middle.
As soon as she landed on the ground, monsters gang her up but with just a swing of her sword, they get destroyed easily. Slicing left and right not caring how many monsters had been brought down.
Her movement is too fast to track that the Monsters just randomly attack because they do not know where Ayaka will appear next. Well, it was not Ayaka's ability. It was traveler Anemo's powers that make Ayaka faster and with the help of Geo, she is durable.
Their target is the tumor. They know that no matter how many monsters they killed, they will always regenerate as long as the Miasmic Tumor is alive.
"Ayaka destroy the tumor! I'll make a way for you...make sure to deliver your strongest attack" Traveler shouted and in swift motions he easily brought down every monster around Ayaka using his electro attack.
A monsters jump at him but before they even get near him they get shattered by the power of geo. "Now!" He shouted Ayaka stopped her track and a huge pillar appears beneath her rocketing her upward at a very fast speed.
"AAHHHHH!"
her cryo and travelers electro combined and with the power of geo makes her sword more durable and the Anemo makes it faster.
But before she even gets near, the tumor roared and a strong shockwave appears almost sending Ayaka away but suddenly instead of falling to the ground he falls on the newly made geo pillar.
She looks at the ground and notices that the traveler is doing his best to not get them near her eliminating every opponent that gets inside his range. "I'll also do my best... I won't make you regret having me as your team traveler! I ...want to fight alongside you again...
Her eyes turned cryo-like color as her whole body become much colder than ever as it can be noticed snowflakes falling near her. Her breath is so-called it seems like she is already dead but no... this is the power of cryo.
She flew using the pillar destroying it in the process and in just a blink of an eye...*Slice
"ARRRRRGH!" A roar can be heard. The tumor has been cut in half.
*BOOM
A huge explosion destroyed the whole tumor "AYAKA!" Paimon shouted she saw that she was still inside when it exploded.
Paimon notices that the monsters disintegrate the moment the tumor exploded and the traveler is no longer in sight.
...
5 second earlier
"Ni-chan...I did it...I perfected the Kamisato sword technique..but it seems that this is the end" she thought and she close her eyes as she could feel the heat from the huge explosion.
She is prepared to die but she couldn't feel any pain at all. She open her eyes and saw the traveler carrying her bridal style mid-air as she look in amazement at the golden energy surrounding them.
"Are you okay?" The Traveler asked as they were slowly falling mid-air. "Wa-...eh AHH! get off of me!" Ayaka trying to push the Traveler away due to embarrassment. She is too dirty right now and she is showing too much skin because her kimono has been cut a lot of times.
Instead of letting go he just held her tightly "shut up if you fall you die!" Ayaka can't help it the warmness is just too much. Her whole body is now red this is her first time making skin contact with a man.
"I'm fine just let me go!" She shouted sending a very hard punch directly at the traveler's face he accidentally loosened his grip as both of them fall and his golden barrier come undone in the process.
*Fall
Both of them fall on the ground but good thing that they did fall when there are only a few gaps from the ground or else they have broken bones.
"What are you two doing?" Paimon asked while laughing really hard.
"Why is your face bleeding HAHAHA!" Laughing at the traveler.
"I'm really sorry!" Ayaka apologizes while covering herself. The traveler then approached her as he remove his cape and put it on Ayaka.
"Your skin is still cold you need to get warmed" the traveler stated as Ayaka blush madly again and Paimon continued laughing.
The traveler just wondering why Paimon is laughing too much and Ayaka acting strange.
"It is over the traveler. The agony that the Sacred Sakura has been going through should have dissipated...Human child...you have done well. You truly are the destined one." Kazari appears behind them again.
"Phew, what a tough battle! Good thing Paimon guide the both of you well" Paimon playfully said.
"Thank you Paimon she is a good guide..and a friend," Ayaka remarked making Paimon smile wider.
"Aw, come on, there's no need to thank Paimon formally," Paimon said
Kazari then speaks "I will leave the payment for you later, as we agreed. You shall not have to worry about that...
Paimon then remembered something "wait a minute? Didn't we agree on something else too? After the Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual is completed, you're supposed to tell us your story too!"
"But...
"I would love to hear that too" Ayaka smiled while sitting on the ground still getting coverer by travelers haori.
"That's right you can't go back on your agreement with Paimon" Traveler stated.
Kazari just sighs "All right, before that, there is one thing that I'm really sorry about. I haven't had a chance to formally ask you guys' names after all this time...
The fairy shouted
"PAIMON the Ultimate Guide!"
"My name is Kamisato Ayaka, Daughter of the Kamisato Clan" Ayaka greeted properly.
"I'm...you can call me Traveler" the man with golden hair stated.
"Ayaka, Paimon and traveler, I promise to keep that in mind"
"Hehe...
Kazari then told them the story "as I said earlier. I did inherit the memories of the Kitsune Saiguu"
Paimon retorted something "Ohh...Paimon's super curious about this part!
Kazari continues "The Kitsune Saiguu was original of the Hakushin bloodline, and she use to defend the people of Inazuma alongside the Electro Archon. I don't know how long ago it was, but in the end, she was consumed by dark disasters while fighting to protect Narukami Island. However, the barrier that she set up in many places protected a great many people. Even though I just happen to have inherited her memories-and perhaps I overstep my bounds in saying so-but I'm truly proud of her"
Ayaka asked
"Are you one of her familiars?"
She replies "I am not one of her familiars, but rather...When the dark disaster consumed her, her memories and thoughts returned to the soil of Narukami Island. I...Kazari, am filth condensed from the memory of the Kitsune Saiguu."
Ayaka murmured
"I suspected as much" and the traveler nodded.
"Oh, how could that be?" Paimon asked confused. Kazari then apologizes for not being able to purify the filth since she is created from the filth.
"Kitsune Saiguu memories are so powerful that the dark disaster could not dissolve them completely. After the disaster was defeated, those memories flowed into the earth as fiery filth... that's how I was born." She explained.
Ayaka murmured.
"I see so that's explained why you said earlier that if the traveler was around with kitsune Saiguu at that time...
"Yes, I said that. If only the Kitsune Saiguu had someone like you at her side, perhaps she would have survived. How wonderful it would be if she had the chance to meet the three of you." she said to them. But she also wondered that if that happen then she won't meet them. She has to guard The Narukami Island, cleanse the miasma, and finish the Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual.
Suddenly the air feels wrong as Ayaka murmured "Wait...the ritual is already finished then that means...
Paimon said
