Pierce decided not to tell them all and once but instead sat looking at a magazine while they were going over the symptoms. Cameron was looking over the white board and House was explaining the symptoms.
"So this obviously means that she had a previous illness," House surmised.
"Yeah, way to go Sherlock but while you are at it, you should ask the mother what that illness was, was there any head trauma or if she had a genetic disease," Pierce added.
"You know what it is," Foreman asked.
Pierce shook his head.
"I'm just a lowly surgeon, figure it out your selves, if you can that is," he said before heading out the door.
"Shouldn't we get him," Cameron asked.
House shook his head.
"Besides, one arrogant person in here is enough, so why should he stick around. Eh, Foreman?" House asked.
Foreman rolled his eyes. Just when he thought his boss was bad, a surgeon that wasn't even from the state had to come around and prove him wrong. It also looked like House finally met his match though too.
"Then I should go," Foreman said. "You're arrogant too and you just said two was too much House."
House sighed.
"So what does the surgeon thinks the little girl has," he interrupted.
Foreman rolled his eyes and said, "Brain tumor."
"Didn't come on the mri," House corrected.
"It's small," Cameron objected.
"Fine do a ct scan and an angio," House said getting up.
"Where are ya going," Chase asked.
"To see the arrogant surgeon," House answered.
They rolled their eyes.
"Cuddy remember you said that I had to take on the surgeon as some type of punishment," House asked.
"No it was HIS punishment," Cuddy corrected emphasizing the word 'his'.
House rolled his eyes.
"It's my punishment because he is so arrogant, rude, and thinks he knows everything," House added.
Cuddy smiled. It was shortlived, however, because she really thought that if someone out there could control Pierce then it would have been House. She hoped that Pierce would stop being so darn mean but then there were shortlived miracles.
"House I don't care if you whine like a baby, he's staying in your department until you solve this case," Cuddy said.
"Fine but this means war," House stated.
Hearing the door closed, Cuddy sighed only to have House come back.
"Another thing, if my patient needs surgery, he's going to do it," House added before leaving again.
Cuddy dropped her head to her hands in defeat. She just couldnt' win.
"I know that you know what she has," House said.
Pierce was silent. He figured that if he shut up and didn't say anything, the guy would leave but he just seemed to get more determined by the second.
"You know what your problem is?!?!?! It's this, this patient could die and you could care a less because you'd rather prove a point," House paused to sigh.
"You've probably never had a kid so you don't know what's it would be like to loose one and you know what, they will so what kind of illness does she have," House asked.
Pierce remained silent but it didn't matter because just then the ducklings arrived.
"Give me what you got," House told them.
"It's a benign tumor but it's on the part that registers pain. Another tumor is on her temperol lobe and is the reason why she can't talk, we take them out and she'll be better," Foreman answered.
"You got this from the mother," House asked turning to Pierce.
When he didn't reply, House turned to Foreman and said, " We need to start surgery right away and not only will she stop experiencing pain but she'll probably even start to talk."
They nodded and left to schedule it.
"This is why I'm good," House said.
