Authors note:

This is a tribute to Lady Sybil Branson, who tragically lost her life on the 14 of October 1920.

Just a few poems and words to help all us fans who are grieving for her and Tom.

For all of those who haven't seen Downton Abby Season 3 episode 5, turn back now!

Tom to Sybil:

God looked around his garden

And found an empty space.

He then looked down upon on the earth

And saw your tired face.

He put his arms around you

And lifted you to rest.

God's garden must be beautiful,

He always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering

He knew you were in pain

He knew that you would never

Get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough

And hills were hard to climb.

So he closed your weary eyelids

And whispered, Peace Be Thine

It broke our hearts to lose you

But you did not go alone

For part of me went with you

The day God called you home

Sybil to Tom:

When I'm gone

Just carry on,

Don't mourn, Rejoice,

Every time you hear,

The sound of my voice. Just know that,

I'm looking down at you smiling,

And I didn't feel a thing,

So baby don't feel no pain,

Just smile back.

AN: a song from My Chemical Romance:

Long ago just like the hearse you died to get in again,

We are so far from you.

Burn it all, just like a match you strike to incinerate,

The lives you know.

And what's the worst to take,

From every heart you break.

And like a saint we'll stay

And we'll be holding on tonight

What's the worst I could say?

Things better are if I stay

So long and good night

So long and good night.

More from My Chemical Romance:

When I was a young boy,

My father took me into the city,

To see a marching band.

He said: son when you grow up,

Would be,

The savoir of the broken?

The beaten and the damned?

Because one day I'll leave you,

A phantom,

To lead though the summer

To join the black parade.

(Instrumental)

Sometimes I get the feeling she's watching over me,

And other times I feel like I should go.

But through it the rise and fall,

The bodies in the street,

Defiant to the end we hear the call:

To carry on,

We'll carry on

And though you're dead and gone believe me

Your memory will carry on

We'll carry on

And though you're broken and defeated

Your weary widow marches on!
