Hi guys! You may know me from my animations on youtube, but this is my first written peice! So no hate... :c... Ok! I DO NOT OWN FRUITS BASKET -

Kyo peered in frustrated, down at the checker board. His orange hair had fallen in front of his eyes, which where glowing with agitation.
"OK! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO WIN IF YOU KEEP DOING CRAP LIKE THAT?!" Kyo growled,
his temper getting the best of him. I mean, it was fate that the cat was to be lesser than the rat, but the curse was broken! Surely that part was broken also!

"If by 'Doing crap like that' you mean, winning, i'm sorry, i can't help it.
...Unless you WANT me to go easy on you... Cat."

That was all Kyo could take. With that he flipped the game board, and stood up.

"I... Got tired of playing." He muttered, as he walked out of the sitting room,
his head held high. He wrapped his fingers around the railing to the steps, and shoved one of his hands into his pocket. He marched up the stairs. Walking particularly fast-
paced, in the upstairs hallway. But his pace slowed as he passed Tohru's room. He blinked twice when he saw her stretch up to place another shirt onto the wires. She wasn't tall enough!

"Need some help?" He said rather gently, as he walked up behind her and reached for A strand of her chocolate brown hair, twirling it on his Index finger, letting its' Course-ness fill him with warmth.

Tohru looked up, blushing, as Kyo was messing with her hair. "I think i might." She giggled, her blue eyes glittering happily.

Kyo grabbed a pile of clothing off the table outside on the balcony. He began hanging some clothing up, and watching tohru at the same time. He was so absorbed in her beautiful eyes,
he missed the clothing line, and tumbled forward, right into Tohru, knocking her down.
He landed on top of her, and looked into her face to see his own suprise reflected in her eyes.

"Kyo!" She laughed and wrapped her arms around his neck, "You're so clumsy!" She smiled,
as he stood up and offered a hand to her. She grabbed it and looked up at Kyo.

"Although, I don't want to complain. That look on your face, made my heart skip a beat.
I'm so glad to have met you..." She thought out loud.

Kyo grinned at her, at a momentary loss for words. If someone had told him a year ago he would come to love this girl, he would've grinned, called the person some things, and walked away. Never to consider it. But he DID love her. And he loved her more than he originally would've thought possible.

"Well that looks like all the clothes." Kyo broke the silence, and grabbed Tohru's hand, and walked out of the room, dragging her, giggling, behind him, "Com'ere, I want to show you something!"

Kyo led her to his room and handed her a picture, which was the couple's future home. He was going to wait to give it to her as a suprise, but he was too excited to wait.

"What's this?" Tohru asked, handling the picture carefully, observing the particularly large and Homey-Looking apartment.

"Oh. Well, glad you asked." Kyo said, tilting his head slightly, so that his orange hair fell perfectly on his head. "That, if you're OK with it, is where i plan to live with you... Until we have the money to do, well, better." He muttered shyly, a pink blush painting his face.

"KYO!" Tohru shrieked and literally, tackled him, hugging him so tightly, he didn't dare release his breath.

"Do you like it?" He asked when she finally released her grip and relaxed in his arms. "It's not permanent... It's only until I get a better job..."

"Like it?" Tohru asked, looking up at him and playing with his hair, "Kyo it's perfect!"
