Chapter One: Kira's story
I knew highschool would be different, but I never expected all four years to end up quite like this. It felt like graduation day came all too soon for my liking. When I first started, the thought of being here, walking down this stage, seemed like it couldn't come fast enough. I guess you never really know what you're blessed with till it's gone, huh? Well, if you really want to understand where I'm coming from, the first place to search would be at the beginning. The first day of freshman year.
If I went in knowing what I know now, I most likely would've had a better time. But you can't expect much from a freshie, can you?
When I took my first steps up those stairs to get to the main door, I could hardly believe it. Freshman year. After all this time, I'm finally able to start high school. I could hardly contain myself of emotions. Happy, nervous, scared, any emotion I could think of I felt at that exact moment before I opened the main doors. I had to take a double take. I don't know what I expected. Spotless halls and clean lockers? Everyone there to be friendly and talking together? Whatever I thought it was going to be like, I was way wrong.
Spray Paint all over the lockers, people throwing paper airplanes at each other, and a bunch of girls in miniskirts that look like they haven't eaten in years were picking on a fat girl. Everything seemed to be different in the books I've read. At this point, the only emotion bubbling inside me was disappointment.
