The pain that lies within…

Dwelling in the shadows,

Waiting to be found.

Singing a sad song,

Laying still on the ground.

Blood stains on her clothing,

Scars cover her skin,

She hides beneath a mask

That hides all the pain within.

She puts on a mask,

Hiding her bloody face.

Trying to forget the past

She can't seem to erase.

She hides everything,

Her screams and all her fears.

She's dying deep inside

Holding back all of her tears

She's slowly slipping away

Into her timeless end

She hides beneath a mask

That hides all her pain within

She's going insane

Held back by her faith

Slowly getting ripped

By every tear left on her face

The darkness that blinds her

Makes her feel so alone

Trapped in a cage of loneliness

The place she calls her home

She puts on a mask

Hiding her bloody face

Trying to forget the past

She can't seem to erase

She hides everything

Her screams and all her fears

She's dying deep inside

Holding back all of her tears

She's slowly slipping away

Into her timeless end

She hides beneath a mask

That hides all the pain within

She just can't seem to find

Everything that she needs

She's falling into hatred

She's starting to bleed

She thinks she can run

And forget about the lies

But she can't hide the truth

The pain that lives inside…

She hides everything

Her screams and all her fears

She's dying deep inside

Holding back all of her tears

She's slowly slipping away

Into her timeless end

She can't run from the truth

"The pain that lies within…"
