Life is very complicated … work, bills, automobiles, utilities, and of course, a place to call home.
Of course, that was nowhere near the end of the ever growing list of issues that she must face on her day to day life. However, there were times when she would sit upon their small sofa and stare into the face of the napping raven haired man on the floor across from her.
It made her feel so … strange inside.
Seeing as a small smile would work its way onto his slumbering features with his hand placed under his head in a makeshift pillow. An old ever familiar straw hat hung precariously on his shoulder, tilting slightly as if threatening to fall onto the floor beneath it.
Tilting her head slightly, the young tangerine haired girl could see that a small bead of drool had escaped his lips and made its way onto the carpet's surface. Laughing inwardly, she shook her head in affection, not being able to hold back the smile that threatened to break through her once stressed features.
Muscles in her back felt much less tense, eyes less weary and head no longer spinning. Leaning back against the sofa, the young Nami let out a light sigh as her troubles all exited in a brilliant wave of euphoric peace. Time started to slow into a nice pleasant pace, that was no longer back breaking.
Silence took over the atmosphere, only being broken by a light snore coming from her slumbering companion.
She chuckled realizing something rather sobering in a world of nothing but problems and tragedies. The only thing she's really got is lying on the floor sleeping.
Sometimes what you get in life … is much more than what you expected.
