Lily pulled the door open and tried to fake a smile. She was mad at Oliver and all she wanted to was talk this out with him. But Miley never got to come by. So she had to try. But still the tears threatened to burst through.
So she let them fall. "Miley I have missed you."
Miley hugged her back. "Me too, I can't believe it has been six months already." Then she pulled away. "Oh how rude of me, I want the two of you to meet my amazing fiancé, Leslie."
Oliver entered the room, "You are getting married?"
Leslie stepped forward. "It is so nice to meet you two. Miley has told me about the two of you. That you two are the role models for her love life."
Miley watched as Lily and Oliver gave each other a glance. But she just shrugged it off.
Lily sat down. "How did you to meet?"
"We met while I was tour." She said. It was her turn for a sideways glance to Leslie.
"So he knows who you are."
"Yep, he came up to me and we have been inseparable ever since."
"You look so familiar Leslie."
"I can't say I have ever met you."
The room got quiet. Like no one had anything to talk about. "So he knows about Jake?" Oliver said going over and sitting almost on top of Lily.
"Olly, HONEY! That is not our place." She said scooting over. Distancing herself from him.
"Lily, is right, but yes I do. She has told me all about her past."
"The fact still remains that he walked out on me ten years ago."
"Oliver is sorry he brought it up. He has been acting strangely lately. Miley, I hate to kick you out but I need to talk to him. I will call you later."
"It is ok. I wanted to show Leslie around."
Lily let Miley out then turned to Oliver. "You are a jerk. I figured it out. You are in love with her."
"YES! But also love you. I just don't know. But there is something bigger going on her Lily. Do you remember that night after Jake and Miley broke up because he really sucked at being normal?"
"Yah, so what?"
"Lily, do you remember what the note said."
"Uh it said that … it was from Jake. Signed Leslie. Why wouldn't she tell us?"
