So turns out I've developed a sudden taste for writing drabbles. This one came to me this evening right off the back of my earlier post...and on my second attempt I've actually managed to hit 100 on the nose. Wahoo! Inspired again by this week's E.O Challenge word 'rain'.

"Tell me and I'll forget. Show me and I may not remember. Involve me and I'll understand." –A Native American Proverb.

"We will be known forever by the tracks we leave." – A Dakota Proverb.

Tribes and Tribulations

"They want us to do what?!" Dean spluttered, horrified.

"A rain dance," Sam replied calmly, "it's a Native American tradition intended to invoke rain. The area's been going through a rough drought recently and the people believe this will help."

"Okayyy...but why do we have to be a part of it?"

"Look Dean, it's the least we can do. They saved our lives man! If it hadn't been for Red Hawk and the Shaman, we'd still be out there, lost to the wilderness."

Dean sighed audibly, disgruntled but accepting.

"Alright. Okay... but I ain't wearing that damn feathery headdress thing!"
