"Mama, don't you think we should leave June alone? She's havin' a bad day, and I think confronting her about it so soon will upset her," Cash, June's older brother, said.
"Cash. If something is wrong with June, then I want to know."
"Well...maybe she doesn't want us to know. Maybe we shouldn't get involved."
"Why?" Reba asked, in her usual way.
"Because...because sometimes, June and I are strong enough without your help, Mama," Cash said.
Reba stayed quiet for a little while, digesting what Cash had said to her.
"Alright. Whatever works for you, works for me."
