Ya, soo that year where I wasn't here...

Let's not talk about that. I've updated this chapter and plan to update the next. I had major plot issues going on which is the reason this isn't just a new chapter. I'm also trying to make chapters longer

Enjoy.

Chapter One

Yuzu smiled at her brother cheerfully as she handed him her lunch. Her eyes brightened at the light in his brother had bounced back over the past week. His shoulders no longer slumped, the weariness was gone from his eyes, and the shadows under his eyes had faded greatly. After she had learned about the spiritual world and what her brother had been doing, she had been anxious and worried for him. Karin had happily entered the world after she had been invited (or invited herself). Yuzu had been a bit more cautious because she couldn't see very well and especially when she realized her brother could no longer see this world. (what was the point of interacting with it if her brother was no longer involved). She reinforced this idea after she realized how her brother was being treated by his friends, how they abandoned him, including Tatsuki (what right did they have to enter the world, they were as weak as her). So, she decided she would treat this world as she did before (except for holding it in awe, she couldn't even understand why Karin wanted to be in the world so much; maybe it had something to do with that white haired boy...).

She watched her brother's receding back and a tiny frown formed on her lips. Her brothers different mood didn't change the fact that he was still alone and still had nightmares. What could have changed? She didn't wish to dwell on the fact that something could be wrong especially when he was better but, she wasn't a Kurosaki for nothing; she was extremely observant, and she could tell...

Something had changed about her big brother and she wasn't sure whether or not it was for the better.

Moving within the world was more difficult than she expected. She's already expended every reserve of her strength to break through the metal that preserved her. She lets her body float away. She needs to leave before he notices.

She is not alone in this worlds there are others; they are asleep, in such a deep sleep that they are barely alive.

She focuses and sees the light and allows herself to float outside of the world.

this time she will not fail, this time she will not be alone.

When her strength is almost gone she lands the grass around her is green or at least it used to be; the grass burns away as her reiatsu caresses it. The change it atmosphere causes her power to rip away form her.

She falls forward long silvery strands brushing the ground as her blue eyes water with pain. She quickly pulled her self together as she felt other reiatsu approaching her vicinity. She could not provoke them or be caught not yet, not now; then she would never reach her.

He would never have the chance to meet her.

And when they met all would be well...

There is no more flinching when he walks by them, no more pained glances, no more out of your way avoidances. He could swear that the world had changed it's position, it was all so different. So good different. School becomes normal again; his seclusion has lead to a boost in his grades, which is rather nice being a substitute had seriously crippled his school life. He made no effort to be socially active; he couldn't take hanging out with such care free people Even if he was doing better he felt so disconnected, lonely. even his family was on a different wavelength of him. He no longer let his past weigh him down but, it is still present, looming.

But his is his life now and he will deal with it.

And then it happens during a boring class where he's almost falling asleep, suddenly something niggles on the edge of his senses. An eerily familiar sensation that is so shocking his head snaps up.

He watches as his former associates all blast out of the room, but his mind is elsewhere...

Did he just sense a hollow?

The small waiting room in the Urahara shop was filled to the brim as the group of teenagers waited for Urahara to tell them the news about the reiatsu they had felt. Ishida, Orihime, and Chad were seated around the table, while Tatsuki, Mizurio, and Keigo sat on the couch. The room was filled with a tense silence.

The blast of power had nearly been enough to make them fall out of their seats. The reiatsu had not felt like Shinigami, hollow, or even Quincy. They had immediately rushed out of their seats and did their best to track down the location of whatever being had exerted It, but it had disappeared moment after they felt it. Uryu had arrived first at the area they had tracked the reiatsu and had seen nothing but smoldering grass and what seemed to be a flicker of silver.

They were now (not so) patiently waiting for Urahara to come back with the results from the area where they (Uryu) said the presence of the reiatsu was the most prominent.

Everyone in the room straightened as the 'humble' shopkeeper entered. His hat shaded his eyes as usual but not enough to hide his grave expression.

"The reiatsu signature doesn't match anything in my database. I've sent a copy to Mayuri to look at, but who knows how long that will take. Also it's unlikely that Mayuri has stumbled across a reiatsu source that I don't have," Urahara explained as he waved his fan in front of his face, "Most likely it was an abnormal human soul or a human in the midst of becoming a hollow."

"It felt so strange." Said Orihime with a soft frown, "Nothing at all like a human. Urahara-san are you sure?"

"Not at all Inoue- san, but without a proper sample of a corporal being there's not much I can tell you. I felt the reiatsu myself and all I can give you is my expert opinion."

"So just a human-soul, than," clarified Chad.

Tatsuki snorted, "It's never just a human-soul in Karakuta."

Urahara snapped his fan shut, "Arisawa-san has a point, be on the lookout. If it was a human soul, it most likely will become a powerful hollow. If not, well," Urahara hid his eyes under the brim of his hat, "be on the lookout."

It was night and she was carefully flitting about the town. Every bit of her concentration was on hiding the reiatsu that boiled inside her. It was not used to being unconstrained and longed to reach its full potential. If he sensed her near her wielder it was over before she succeeded it was all over. She needed at least a month and even that short time was risky.

After assuring only the girl who could not see was present, she perched on the edge of the window and carefully opened the window and slipped inside. She stayed crouched until she closed the window and drew the curtain.

She surveyed her wielder for a long moment. He was young, still well within his youth. His face was drawn for something so young. His hair was a bright color contrasting with the morbid air around him.

She reached out a pale hand resting it hesitantly on his chest, and allowing her power to delve into his soul.

Wincing, she pulled back. The soul had been cracked and was held together with a seal of outside power. This would take longer than she thought.

The women became mist and vanished in the soul.

Okay I know there was barely anything added but I'm working on it. I only kept writing because someone reviewed recently which moved me.

So please review :D
