Well, there's no good way to put this... I have to drop this story. Reason being? It was raining pretty bad yesterday and my basement flooded and all of our fuses went out when our dryer overloaded the system.
Guess what I was doing at the time?
Yep. Writing the chapter. So I lost it. Again. If that's not divine intervention I don't know what is. So I've decided to drop this story altogether. Besides, I feel like I was writing myself into a corner with this plot, so it may have been for the best anyway.
BUT FEAR NOT, SILENTFANG IS NOT DONE! I was thinking of a new fic to replace this one anyway, but I wanted to run it by you guys first.
The beginning will be similar to Stitch Demon, except Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan will adopt Naruto just after the Kyuubi attack. I was thinking of making it a pseudo crossover with a few series' including but not limited to, Medaka Box, Mahou Sensei Negima, High School DxD, and Katekyo Hitman Reborn. It will basically be Konoha knowing he is Minato and Kushina's son, but not really caring and he is already being targeted by assassins at just a few weeks old. So Jiraiya asks his old students to take him away, not just from Konoha, but the Elemental Countries altogether. They end up in Japan and travel all over while training with his parents where he meets the cast of several other series' (meetings will be covered in flashbacks) during key points in the plot of each series (like the Mahora Festival Matrial Arts Tournament in Negima or the whole Class -13 debacle Medaka Box) he helps out, and makes friends, and when he is 16 they return to the Elemental Nations for the Chuunin Exams where the real story begins.
What do you guys think? I've been mulling this idea around a bit and I wanted a few opinions here and there. Yes Naruto will be gaining a few abstract powers here and there through his adventures, which ones, I'll be putting up for you guys to vote on, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
Thanks for sticking with this story thus far and if enough people tell me they are interested in my idea through PM or review, I'll start writing it up. I'll also be taking suggestions of what series to add as well, the only restrictions is that they can't take place in space (like Gundam or something similar), another world (like One Piece, even though I love it, it'd be too hard to work in), or post apocalyptic world. I may be able to work in other feudal era-ish anime like Samurai Champloo or something similar though.
