A/N Hello! I know it's been a while... with the fact that Cote is leaving, it was hard for me to not write about that, and it took a while for me to recover and go back to the "good old days" when she was still there :)

This is going to be the last chapter, I want to make it long so that I can close off everything properly!
I hope you enjoyed reading the story as much as I enjoyed writing it, and keep checking in for new stories! :)

"So, Gibbs" started Abby, I found fingerprints on the murder weapon, a good old fashioned baseball bat. His fingerprints were on it, which is understandable, since, you know, it's his bat..."
"Abby, please tell me there is a 'but'" said Gibbs.
Abby smiled "BUT, I did find one fingerprint that was over the splatter of blood, which means that..." she waited for Gibbs to finish her sentence.
"That it had to have been Leavitt" He finished and stormed out.

First, he took went to interrogation, and let the agents there know that the perp needed to be escorted to prison. Then he went to the third floor where McGee, Tony and Ziva were supposed to arrive.
He had stayed at the office all night with Abby trying to find evidence that will incriminate Becca's father, if there was anybody that deserved to be put away for life is someone who could allow his daughter to witness a murder.

While the machines were running the evidence, they managed to get in touch with Rebecca's aunt, who agreed with them on the fact that it would not be right for Rebecca to go to a foster home, but will live with her instead. One problem, though. She lived in San Francisco, on the other side of the country. He wondered how Tony and Ziva were going to react. They were the ones who got closest with Rebecca, especially Tony.

"Morning boss!" said McGee, sitting down at his desk. "Abby told me you found evidence against the Leavitt, that's great." he said with a smile.

"Yep," answered Gibbs. "we also found Rebecca's aunt, and she's going to go and live with her."

The conversation turned awkward. McGee cleared his throat. "What, McGee?" barked Gibbs.

"Uhm, nothing"

Gibbs was about to ask again, when he was interrupted by Tony, Ziva and Becca walking hand in hand out of the elevator. It was great to see all of them smile, it hasn't happened for a while for them, with all the problems that come with being an ex- Mossad agent, and being an NCIS agent in general.

"Hello boss!" cheered Tony, and then his smile was interrupted when he was Gibbs' facial expression.

"Gibbs, what is the matter? asked Ziva carefully. He looked at Becca, then Tony caught on and sprung up.
"Hey Becks, you wanna see the snack room?"

As soon as Tony and Becca were out of earshot, Ziva once again asked what had happened, and, for the first time, Gibbs wasn't sure how to say it.

"Becca's aunt in on her way to pick her up, she'll be here tomorrow morning because her flight is today." he said. Ziva furrowed her eyebrows. "Flight? Where does she live?" asked Ziva.
"Uhm, San Francisco"
Ziva coughed involuntarily, "that far?" Gibbs nodded. "Sorry Ziver"

She nodded in acknowledgment. "I'm going to tell Tony, can I send Becca here?" and left, without checking what Gibbs answered. She walked to the room with the snack vending machine. "Hey Becca, can you go to Gibbs for a while, I need to talk to Tony." said Ziva. Becca kissed Tony on the cheek and ran off to Gibbs. Tony's smile dropped when he saw Ziva's facial expression.
"What's wrong Zi?" asked Tony worryingly.
She cleared her throat, "Let's sit, Tony" she pulled out a chair and sat next to him.
"Ziva, you're worrying me, what happened?" insisted Tony.
She took a deep breath "Rebecca's aunt is coming to get her tomorrow and she's taking her to San Francisco." whispered Ziva.
"What?" asked Tony, "that's really far away"
Ziva agreed, but didn't want Tony to be more sad.
"It's not that far away, we can visit her on holidays, ok?"

He nodded, then asked "She's still going to stay with us tonight though, right?"
Ziva smiled at the "us" and stood up. She held out her hand, and led him back to the squatter of desks, letting go of her hand with a wink. Ziva blushed, and Gibbs told them to go home, and whispered in Ziva's ear that he already told Rebecca that her aunt was picking her up. She looked at him in thanks and caught up with Tony and Becca.
Gibbs heard a loud "What's for dinner?" and an even louder "PIZZA" before the doors closed. He smiled sadly, and hoped that it would all end ok.

After the pizza, they all snuggled in Tony's bed to watch a movie. Their choice: Finding Nemo.
Rebecca was visibly excited at the beginning, but became more and more sleepy, finally succumbing to dreams of Aussie turtles. Ziva chuckled as she saw that Tony, too, fell asleep with Becca. She put her head on the pillow, and her last thought was that she was really glad Tony had a big bed.

They were woken up the next morning by the sound of a cell phone ringing. Everyone groaned. Ziva was the first one to stand up to answer it; she picked it up with a groggy "hello?"

"Tony?"
"No, it's Ziva. Abby is that you?"
"Yes of course it's me. Why are you answering Tony's cell phone?" she asked suggestively. Ziva rolled her eyes.
"What is it Abby?" asked Ziva.
"Oh yea, Rebecca's aunt will be here in like 1 hour, so get to the headquarters."
Ziva swallowed a lump in her throat "Ok, we'll be there soon."
She walked to Tony's side of the bed and ran a hand through his hair.

"Tony we have to go to work, Becca's aunt is on her way." Tony stirred, and opened his eyes. He nodded and stretched.
"Come on!" said Ziva.
"I'm coming, i'm coming... Jeez" mumbled Tony. He was trying to sound annoyed just to cover up the fact that he loved being woken up by her. He went to the bathroom, took a shower, and by the time he got out, Becca was fully dressed ready to go.
"When did you say Becky's aunt was coming?" he asked.
"In like 1 hour, so hurry. We have to go and get breakfast.
"NO WAIT, i HAVE TO PEEPEE" shouted Becca, then ran into the bathroom. Ziva stepped closer to Tony. "It's gonna be ok Tony" whispered Ziva, hugging him tight.
He clung to her until Rebecca came out of the bathroom, then they made their way to the car. On the way there Tony's hand found Ziva's again. He found great comfort in holding her hand, and he was planning on making it a habit, despite on how it would look like to others.

They had breakfast at a nice cafe and then went to the headquarters. They were a little late, so Rebecca's aunt was already there.
"AUNT JESSY" shouted and jumped in her arms.
"Hey sweetie" she said, kissing her niece on the cheek.

Jessica went over to Tony and Ziva and introduced herself.
"So..." started Tony. "When is your flight back?" he asked, hopeful that he might have a little more time.
"Acutally, we have to leave now to be sure, it's in a few hours, but with luggage and all"
Tony nodded and bit his lip.
Jessica turned towards Becca. "Are you going to say goodbye to everyone?"
Becca nodded. She looked around as if unsure on who to say goodbye to first. She walked over to Gibbs and kissed him on the cheek
"Bye Bye Gibbs"
Gibbs smiled and patted her head.
She then made her way to McGee's desk, climbed on it, and hugged McGee really tight.
"Be good, Probie" McGee rolled his eyes, but winked at her. She giggled, and then was picked up by Ziva.
"Seevaaa! You will visit me in San Francisco?" asked Rebecca, hopeful for a positive answer.
Ziva nodded, tears starting to form in both her eyes and Rebecca's.
"Be good to your aunt, ok?"
Rebecca nodded. "Bye Ziva, I love you" she said, kissing her cheek.
At that point Ziva couldn't hold the tears back anymore, and let out a choked sob.
Rebecca climbed down from Ziva's arms and looked at Tony.
He picked her up and placed her on his desk, so they were of similar height.
"Saving best for last, right Bex?" said Tony, trying desperately to light up the mood of the room.

"Tony, I don't want to go" said Rebecca, new tears making their way down her puffy cheeks.
Tony didn't know what to say. He didn't want her to go either.
"Sometimes, you have to do things that you don't want to do, and you think it's going to be bad, so you don't want to do them. But, remember, that really good things come from the bad. Ok sweetie?" whispered Tony. She nodded and he hugged her. He didn't want her to go, in barely a week she had found a way to get all of the team to absolutely love her. Eventually, though, he had to let go, so he pulled back and wiped away her tears.

"I wish you were my daddy, Tony" said Rebecca quietly. Everyone turned to look at Tony, no one was expecting that kind of response.
"Me too, sweetie" He kissed her cheek again and passed her to her aunt.

Jessica looked dumbstuck. She could never have imagined Rebecca getting so attached in such a short amount of time. She sighed, and said goodbye to everyone.
"If you ever want to be in San Francisco, you know where I live." she said. She turned around and walked into the elevator. And just like that, they were gone.

A sad silence crept over NCIS. Everyone was still looking at Tony, who seemed to be lost in thought. Realizing that he was the centre of attention, he looked up, and murmured a small "excuse me" before making a beeline for the bathroom.

He ran away from everyone, and Ziva instinctively followed him. She managed to get inside the bathrooms before he locked the door, and for a while, they just stood there, looking at each other. It was Tony who moved first, sitting down on the floor; he took her hand and dragged her down with him, hugging her from behind. She was tense at first, but just leaned back on his chest, accepting the fact that she loved this.

"You know," started Ziva. "They are going to come looking for us soon." she said, turning around so she was facing him. She leaned her head on his shoulder and hugged him. She didn't really care if they found them like this.

"I'm gonna miss her so much, Zi" he whispered.
"I know."

She looked in his eyes, and he seemed to be thinking about something. Then his expression changed, and he looked at her.
"We completely shattered rule 10" he said, very matter-of-factly.
"Never get personally involved in a case. You think Gibbs will be mad at us?" she asked him.
He shrugged. "Probably not, but I was thinking, since we already broke one of Gibbs' rules, it wouldn't hurt breaking another one, right?" he said, raising his eyebrows suggestively.
Ziva chuckled. She knew exactly which rule he meant.
She tightened his hold on him, and he stared at her. They leaned close and waited for someone to interrupt them. That's what usually happened every time they did this. When they realized that no one was there, they kissed softly.
Ziva smiled. "Becca would be happy about this, she was trying to get us together from the beginning."
Tony laughed. "That's true. Well, it just means we'll have to go to San Francisco soon"
Ziva's smile broadened. "I'm pretty sure Gibbs is gonna give us the day off."
Tony stood up and held out his hand.

"Let's go home then."
