Don't hate me. Please. I've been slowly updating my other stories on OTHER sites, which I will not mention. Now, I think I've successfully made a game plan with the characters, but I'm not sure yet. It'll come together naturally. So for now, enjoy this!

Violet Eyes~Chapter Two~Introductions

CPOV

"Whoa. This apartment complex is huge. Can I say I'm a little jealous?" Rose asked, as she looked up at the tall building that Dimitri and Eddie were staying in.

"You can be. But you're probably the only jealous person to actually enter this...'domain', as my brother puts it. Now, he's been down here a while, with our other brother, Eddie. So you can go in and sit, and I'll give him a call to let us up." I replied, as she nodded, clutched her head, and slowly made her way into the lobby. I pulled my phone out, and selected Dimitri's number.

"Ey, Ozera. What d'you need?"

"You have yet to tell me which apartment you bought or which floor you're on. So if you'll kindly just come downstairs and-what is all that noise?" I asked, wincing as some loud chord was struck.

"Er, Eddie's playing Rock Band. He started almost as soon as we got here, and has only stopped to pee. And that was eight hours ago." Dimitri admitted. I sighed, pushing down the urge to laugh.

"Yeah, okay. Just come downstairs and get us."

"Us?"

"Oh, yeah. A girl from my school. Found her on the sidewalk trying to be jumped. I dunno, she hasn't told me the whole story. Her name is Rose."

"Rose! Like our-"

"No, not our Rose, dummy. I would've reported to Abe and he would've called you." I said, now laughing.

"Oh..yeah. I'll be down." He disconnected, and the dial tone rang in my ears. I hung up as well, and walked into the lobby. Rose up against the wall, two security guards shining flashlights in her face. She was yelling frantically, and there were too many people in the way to get to her.

"GET THE HELL AWAY FROM ME! I can break your face with a swift kick!" She threatened. I managed to get next to her, and her eyes lit up when she saw me.

"Christian! Get these assholes away from me!" Rose practically seethed. I managed to get them to back off, and got a full look at Rose. Her shoes were off, showing some scrapes on her feet that I missed, her shirt sleeves were bunched up above her elbows, so more cuts showed, and she put her hair in a ponytail, showing signs of blood around a cut she cleverly hid from me. I sighed, crossing my arms at her.

"Where are your shoes?"

"I think Jesse stole them. He's a creep like that. I need an ice pack!" She replied, and made her way to the elevators. Before I could say anything, she had us in the elevator, and thought of a button to push.

"Hm. Twenty floors. Tell me about this dude."

"Er..he like to fight. Has two brothers, me and Eddie. Likes Tchaikovsky. Read Westerns, uh-"

"Aha! Floor 19, apartment six." Rose said triumphantly, jabbing the '19' button. We made it, and she walked down the hall to the door that had a six on it. She knocked on it, and guess who came out? Dimitri.

"Er..who are you? If you're from the place, I don't have the stuff yet." He whispered. Now, I was around the corner, but I could hear them, so he didn't see me. I peeked around the wall, and Rose was facing him, arms crossed.

"So you do sell things on the black market, eh? You've been under speculation, Mr. Hathaway. If that is your real name. I am Agent Mazur, and I've followed you for months. You've been under speculation of The Alchemists for quite some time. Graduated from St. Basil's at age Eighteen, has killed innumerable amounts of Strigoi, and is about to undergo a series of trials this coming year."

Whoa. She was good. Dimitri stood there, eyes wide. He looked around, seeing if this was a joke.

"Alchemists do not joke, Mister Hathaway." She added. She turned around, a huge grin on her face as she saw me. I strolled up behind her, confusing Dimitri even more.

"Luckily I'm not an Alchemist. And hopefully that just part was just a joke, dude. You never know who's watchin', these days. I mean, you've got cameras at every intersection, and then one just aimed and zoomed in on my boobs." Rose finished, walking over to a nearby camera, and flipping the bird at it. "Perv!" She yelled at it. Dimitri turned to me, pointing a crooked finger to the girl yelling at a camera.

"Yeah. Dimitri, meet Rose. Reinette, meet Dimitri."

"Yeah, okay. D'you have ice packs? Not to be rude, but I'm bleeding here, here, here and here." Rose said, pointing to her temple, knee, her hands and her lip. I rolled my eyes and pushed Dimitri aside, ushering the 'poor girl' in. She stopped right outside the doorway, slowly peering in. She slowly turned to Dimitri and I, letting out a tiny squeal.

"What?" Dimitri asked.

"You have pogs." She concluded.

"What?" My older brother asked.

"Pogs. Y'know." She hurried in, and we followed. Eddie was standing there like a dimwit, as Rose picked up a coaster looking thing. "Pogs. Dude, these were awesome. But I'll have to explain them later." She finished, holding her head. Eddie snapped, and walked over to the deep freezer, pulling out three ice packs. He tossed one to Dimitri and one to me, then handed one to Rose. She put that one on her head, I set mine on her knee, and Dimitri had her hold his to her lip.

"What the hell happened?" Eddie asked incredulously.

"I wonder the same thing!" I exclaimed. Rose rolled her eyes, glaring at the three of us.

So then, I explained how Jesse's flirting turned into an all out brawl. Dimitri looked confused as he ran a hand through his hair.

"So, you're saying you used to hang out with the dude, and then he just..turned?" He asked.

"Pretty much." I said.

Christian grinned, pulling his brother's ear. "Sounds like Tasha, dude. How is she, anyways?" He asked.

Dimitri muttered something, and Christian cupped his hand around his ear. "What?"

"I said she's coming to America in three months. Your dear father in law thinks it will be suitable." He said with gritted teeth, flicking the side of the onyx haired boy. He yelped, holding his cheek. Eddie grinned, covering his face with his palm.

"Hey, what time is it?" I asked. Amberwood Tryouts started at six.

"Er, it's five to six. Why?" Eddie responded. My eyes widened as I shot up, totally forgetting I was supposed to be hurt. Three pairs of eyes zoomed in on me, confused. I jumped up and down on the balls of me feet, adrenaline suddenly pumping through me. I turned to Christian, placing my hands on his shoulders.

"Liss will heal me. We gotta go. Tryouts start in," I checked the clock. ",three minutes. One of you drive me, or I'll steal your keys!" I exclaimed, as they all hurriedly stood up. We made it to the garage in under 30 seconds, and the school was just a couple of blocks away. We made it there just in time. One of the combat teachers, Alberta, hurried me into the school. I was only trying out for Track and Field and Softball. Luckily, they were doing Football and Basketball first. After an hour of those two, I quickly changed into my Amberwood Gym uniform, which consisted of a thin black tank top and shorts that said 'AH' on them. I pulled some running shoes on, but shook my head, throwing them at the foot of my locker. I did better barefoot. I jogged outside, waving at the people in the stands that I recognised. Christian, Dimitri and Eddie were sitting with my family, Lissa and her family. Huh. So she came. Probably because Aaron was on the basketball team. I mentally rolled my eyes before lining up with the other girls.

"As soon as I pull the trigger, run as fast as you can, but don't overestimate yourselves." Alberta said. "Ready. Set. GO!" She pulled the trigger, and we shot off. Right now, I looked to be in third place. Two girls named Inna and Sarah were in front of me. I blew out a breath, and sped up a bit, passing the two with ease. In the end, I got a place on the team, of course.

"ALL RIGHT!" André yelled, shooting a fist into the air. I grinned at him, copying his movements. After I put some shoes on, I got ready for softball. Even though my dad told me to try out for pitcher, I was going to be a batter, whether he liked it or not. Alberta had Mason, who was captain last year, to pitch for the batters. He stuck his tongue out at me, a sly grin on his face. I smirked, readying my place. The ball came at me quick, and I swung like there was no tomorrow. Looking up, I grinned as I made a home run. Being a dhampir was as awesome as it could get. After a few more minutes, I was allowed to change. I entered the locker room to find my clothes, deciding to grab the spare set I had in my locker in the school. Deciding no one would suspect me to go missing, I quickly slipped in through a side door. With only some lights on, the school was creepier at night. I walked up the stairs to the third floor, quickly finding my locker, opening it and grabbing my clothes out of it.

I made my way down the stairs, hearing not-so-silent footsteps behind me. In a matter of seconds, I had grabbed the person's wrist, pinning it behind their head and pushing them against the wall. The first thing I saw was a smirk. My eyes clearing up, I saw it was Christian. I huffed, crossing my arms and continuing down the stairs. He chuckled, poking my shoulder.

"What is it Rosie?" He asked innocently. I had only known him for about a day and he was already warming up to me. I rolled my eyes and he laughed again. We made our way downstairs, and parted ways, he to his brothers and I to the locker room. Before he left, he handed me a note and waved. I made it to the locker room to see Lissa with an apologetic look on her face. I gave her a half-smile and held my arms out.

"I'm sorry, Rose! I didn't mean to! You know what happens when I use too much spirit..." Lissa trailed off. Her outburst with Aaron earlier was only because of a sick satisfaction of his. He liked to kill things and make Lissa bring them back to life. She loved him too much to deny him, and he was a twisted sadist, enjoying using her as a slave. I let go of her and rummaged through my locker, finally pulling out my makeup bag. Lissa grinned and squealed, taking it from my hand and digging through it. As she did that, I dressed in a shirt that said 'The night is dark and full of terrors', with some white jeans. Liss sat me down and began doing my makeup.

A few minutes later, my mom walked in, along with Mason and my dad, who both had their eyes closed. I chuckled at that. "You can open your eyes, guys." I said. They did so, and slowly. We waited until Lissa finished, then I tied my hair up into a high ponytail. I stood up and got ready to walk out, until Lissa stopped me.

"What's that, Rose?" She asked, pointing to the note Christian gave me. I flushed and reached out for it when Mason snatched it and opened it, reading it quickly before growling. My eyes widened, and he shoved the note into my hand.

Dear Madame Mazur,

Dimitri, Eddie, and I had to go home, so, sorry I couldn't say goodbye. We're all still really sad about what happened, and apologise. Well, that mostly came from Dimitri than us. Does it hurt? Is there anything we can do about it, to ease the pain? I'll be at school tomorrow anyways to help, so we don't have a repeat of last night. I suspect it'll be a FINE FRENZY. Until then!

GOODBYE, MY ALMOST LOVER.

At reading the last line, I grinned, chuckling a little. Although Mason still looked a little peeved.

"What's wrong, son?" Dad asked. Mason ripped the letter from my hands and gave it to my mom and dad. I shrugged to myself and closed and locked my locker. I hooked arm with Lissa's and was about to walk out when my mother gasped and my dad raged.

"YOUNG LADY!" Mark yelled. I was pulled back abruptly and stumbled into Mason's chest.

"What!?" I complained, pouting and stomping like the little girl I was.

"Explain this." My mom said, holding Chris' note out to me.

"Um, Christian pretty much put everything out in open. What do you want to know?"

"Who is he?"

"Exchange student."

"When did he get here?"

"Yesterday. I think. Maybe. Right, Liss?" I asked. She nodded.

"When did you meet him?"

"Today. This morning."

"When did...this happen?"

"Right after I left school, but before I got here. Like, five minutes. But the real thing happened before I even got to his brother's apartment. Middle of the street. He had the upper hand, which isn't much I can say about most Moroi." I said. My mother gasped again, and Mason cracked his knuckles. I furrowed my brow.

"What're you guys talking about?"

"You having sex with Christian." Mason put it bluntly. I flushed and dropped to the ground. I began laughing maniacally. Lissa laughed, as well.

"You guys! I had an encounter with Jesse, and we fought." I explained, raising my shirt to show them the bruise forming on my stomach. Mason face-palmed, along with Dad. My mom just muttered something to God. I rolled my eyes.

"Almost Lover is a song by a singer called A Fine Frenzy. See the capitalized letters? 'Goodbye, my almost lover' is a line from the song." I said, trying hard to stop laughing.

"So, can I come with you tonight, Liss?" I asked. She nodded and I waved to my family. We walked arm in arm to the entrance of the school. Lissa walked ahead of me, talking to someone on the phone. As I was about to catch up to her, I held my stomach, feeling nauseous. Lissa looked back, and I made a motion with my hand, telling her to run. Before I could bat an eyelash, a Strigoi was on me. He looked like he could've been handsome, save for the paler-than-life skin and the red tinged eyes. He was breathing into my face, and it stank. He grinned at me, licking his lips as he stared at my neck. I snorted, rolling me eyes. He thought he was gonna get blood. Yeah, some of his own. As he moved down to begin drinking, I caught a flash of something behind him. Squinting, I saw..Christian, with Dimitri and Eddie behind him. Ignoring them, I focused on the Strigoi. It was about to pierce my neck when I moved it out-of-the-way, smashing its face into the brick wall behind me. I hissed in pain as his fist shot out and caught me in the stomach-right where the bruise was-and lifted me off the ground. Wincing, I did what I always did, and smacked him in the face. To be honest, he stumbled a bit. He dropped me on the ground, and I had to restrain from crying out. The fact that I had two Moroi-one who was probably lost, and the other doing God knows what-relying on me, didn't help. As the Strigoi advanced towards me, I shot up, pulling a wooden stake out of my shirt. He reached his arm out to grab me, and I stabbed him in the arm with my stake. By turning away, the stake cut a long wound in his arm. He screamed in agony before backing away slowly. Just to piss him off, I picked a broken tree branch off and threw it at him with a taunting grin. A second before it hit him, it was set alight. Looking over the Strigoi's shoulder, Dimitri and Eddie were now handling another two Strigoi, and Christian was standing in front of Lissa, setting random things on fire. The Strigoi was just a stake's point from death, and I offered my services.

With an "AYIYIYIYIIIII!", I pierced the Strigoi's heart with my stake, watching the life go out of his eyes. I stood up and slowly approached the brothers. They had one Strigoi dead, but they were trying to pin down the other. Making my was over, I quickly shoved Dimitri away and kicked the Strigoi in the gut. The element of surprise. As it stumbled to the ground, I then sat on his stomach, having Eddie and Dimitri hold his arms down. Christian helped with his legs.

"Strigoi don't band together. What're you doing here?" I asked bluntly, furrowing my brow. The Strigoi snorted before I slapped him.

"Er-there's word on the street about some valuable Dhampir meat in this part of the country. She's a big deal. Royal." He said.

"Like, human royal?" I asked, cocking my head to the side.

"Mhm. Her last name's Belikova. Her name starts with an R. That's all I got." He said. With a shrug, I lifted my stake, only to have a group of teenagers waltz out of the gate. They looked at us curiously, and I grinned, waving.

"Just sparring." I announced. They slowly walked by, and I stabbed the Strigoi in the chest. I stood and slipped the stake in its holder, turning to the boys.

"So. R Belikova?"
