The clock tick slowly, 5:15, as Mushnik, Osteen, Mike, and Sara were waiting patiently for a customer. Mushnik sat at a desk not too far away from the counter with an open file work, Osteen stood at the right end of the counter with Mike on his head sighing, and Sara was at the other end, looking rather bored like the others. A few more minutes passed and everyone went to a different place the other 1 was sitting at.

Sara was leaning on the right end of the counter, Mushnik was reading the newspaper behind the counter holding the comics up for Mike to read, (nobody knows how Mike can read so they call it a special talent), and Osteen was sitting at the desk fiddling with the cards, letting them fall and so on, still having that bored expiration on their faces. More minutes passed and still no customer came by and again everyone but Mushnik switch places.

Sara was at the desk with her neck on it with Mike sleeping on top of her neck, Osteen was at the counter at the left side, leaning against it. Mushnik had his arms crossed and had a v shape in the top of his eye showing that he was pretty mad. Slowly he glanced at the clock. "6 o'clock, and we haven't sold so much as a fern." He went back to staring at the counter.

"Alright!" Mushnik shouted, slamming his huge hands on the counter, gaining everyone's attention.
"That's it! Forget it! Don't bother coming to work tomorrow!" Sara and Osteen looked at each other with horror on their face knowing exactly what Mushnik was saying.
"B-but, but sir! You don't mean!"
"You can't!" They protested hoping to change his mind.
"What, what, what?! I through! Caput! I'm closing this place down!" He went by the 2, stopping at the desk placing his hand on it, making sure not to crush Mike, and leaned on it. Osteen and Sara looked at Mushnik. They knew that he was a strong pokemon, but he never gave up! Ever! Sara started thinking quickly about what to do. Then an idea struck her.
"Mr. Mushnik have you ever consider that maybe what the Fern needs is to move in a new direction!" She shouted the last part, hoping it would gain some of his attention. Mushnik turned his head, glaring at Sara.

"Uh, what Sara is trying to say sir is…" Osteen tried to help Sara, but Mushnik turned the other direction, not caring about what they say.
"Um, Sara. Why don't you go down and bring up that strange new, um, thing you've been working on." Sara's eyes widen. Quickly as she could she race down back in the basement.
"You see Mr. Mushnik." Osteen went in front of Mushnik, seeing that mentioning the strange thing seemed to get his attention.
"Sara has been working on this, thing, and it's very unusual and we thought that if we brought it up here, properly displayed and advertised, would attract business." Osteen looked really proud of himself after he finished. Mushnik gave him a questioning look. He looked at Mike for an answer. Mike just shrugged his shoulders.

Everyone turned their attention to the basement door as Sara came in holding a box and looking down and grim. "I'm afraid he isn't feeling to well." Sara placed the box on the desk, letting everyone get a glimpse of the thing. "There. Now isn't that bazar?" Osteen asked proudly while looking at the thing. Mushnik wasn't too sure but took a quick glimpse, then turned his head away. His eye slowly widened as he slowly turned his attention back to the thing inside the box. He starred at the thing that starred right back with orange eyes.
"At least!" He exclaimed. Mike jump at the side of the box, peeking over the edge. His eyes widened.

Sara reached in and pulled out a strange creature. It was about 1 foot tall, had the body of Dialga but some of its features were small like its back plate, its head lines, and its chest pleat but didn't have the diamond. It had also some features of Palkia. It had Palkia's arm plates on all 4 legs. On its back was Palkia's wing but were only 2 or 3 inches long, and its shoulder had Palkia's pearls but without the shoulder things surrounding them, and its skin was manly blue but its side colors were purple.

"What type of weirdo thing is that Sara?" Mushnik asked eyeing the creature.
"I don't know really. I've been trying to identify this thing in my books but I haven't found any information about it. But I gave him a name though. I call him an Osteen2." Osteen looked at Sara with surprise.
"After me?" Mike looked up at Sara with happiness.
"I hope you don't mind."
"Ah!" Osteen squeaked.
"You see sir, if you were to a, a strange and interesting creature right here on the windowsill, then maybe…" Sara placed Osteen2 at the window ledge where he started sniffing around his new environment.
"Maybe what?" Mushnik asked flouting over to Sara.
"Maybe what?! Sara just because you put a strange and interesting new, um, thing! Pokemon won't suddenly-!"

Ding-a-ling.

Mushnik froze in place with his arms stretched out at Osteen2 while everyone else turned to see a Lucario enter wearing a black hat, smiling.
"Excuse me. I couldn't help but notice that strange and interesting little creature over there. What is it?" Osteen walked up to the Lucario happily.
"It's an Osteen2." The Lucario nodded his head.
"I've never seen any pokemon like it before."
"Nobody has." Sara happily added. Mushnik kept staring at the Lucario wide eye still frozen in place.
"Where'd you get this Osteen2 at?" Mushnik finally got out of his frozen state, happily smiling placing his right hand on his hip and raising his left pointing upwards…before he realized he didn't actually know himself. He looked at Sara, who grinned back in amusement.

"Well…" She began as music started playing.
"You remember that total eclipse of the sun about a week ago?"
"Da-doo"
The scene changed as the Lake trio appeared in green dress with a gold Dragonair going around it.
"I was going down the wholesale district that day." The scene move to the right showing the past week Sara. She was wearing a white sunhat with a pink bow, a white jacket that could cover her body and reach half way up her neck, holding a white purse while going by shops.
"Shoop da-doo"
"And I stopped by this place, where this nice Gardevoir." The past Sara stopped at a shop where a Gardevoir happily smiled at her as they shook hands.
"Chang da-doo"
"She sometimes likes to sell me weird and exotic things," The Gardevoir showed the past Sara some pokemon for sale such as Meowth, Purrloin, Glameow, and Eevee.
"Snip da-doo"
"Causes, well, you see, strange thing are my hobby."
"Da da da da da da-doo."
The past Sara looked over what the Gardevoir had, but shook her head.
"She didn't have anything unusual there that day."
"Nope da-doo"
The past Sara turned and left the shop, leaving the Gardevoir to tended to the pokemon.
"So I was just about to, ya know, walk on by,"
"Good for you."
A grope of pokemon joined in snapping with, whatever they could snap with across the street were the shop was. The past Sara went up to them and tried to join in.
"When suddenly, and without warning, there was this…" The past Sara looked up at the sun seeing a shadow starting to cover it.
"Total eclipse of the sun"
The whole place became dark.
"It got very dark," Everyone was looking up at the eclipse, even a few pokemon that were driving stopped to look. Suddenly a black, blue, a purple lightning bolt struck at the counter were the pokemon the Gardevoir was sealing, but seemed to do no damage. It only lasted a second before it disappeared leaving behind a glowing object.
"And there was this strange sound like something from another world"
"Da-doo"
The eclipse was over in mere minuets and the past Sara looked behind her hoping to find the source of the noise as everyone else went back to doing whatever they were doing before.
"And when the lights came back this weird creature was just sitting there."
"Whoop-see-doo"
The past Sara went back over to the shop after seeing the past Osteen2 there, who was only 6 inches tall and didn't seem to have it plates and its wings were only a few centimeters long.
"Just, you know, stuck in, among the others." The past Sara picked up the little Osteen2"
"Osteen2"
"I could've sworn it wasn't there before, but the nice Gardevoir sold him to me anyways, for a $1.95." The past Sara paid the Gardevoir and left the shop with Osteen2 as the Lake trio appeared.
"Sha la la, la la la, la la la loo."

A Gliscor and Empoleon stared through the widow as Sara put Osteen2 back on the windowed before turning to the Lucario.
"Well, that's a fascinating story and an interesting creature." The Lucario turned to leave. Sara, Osteen, Mike, and Mushnik were surprised and sad once realizing he wasn't going to buy anything. The Lucario stopped halfway out the door, turning around like he forgot something.
"Oh, while I'm here I might as well take $50 worth of roses." He said as he took off his hat pulling money out it. Everyone stared in bewilderment when he asked to buy something.
"$50!" Mushnik exclaimed. They quickly grew excited as they went to get roses for the Lucario.
"Can you break $100?" Everyone stopped where they were at.
"$100?!" Mushnik gasped.
"Uh, um, no." He sadly replied.
"Well then, I guess I'll have to take twice as many!" The Lucario replied happily.
"Twice as many?!" Sara gasped.
"Twice as many?!" Osteen asked surprised while Mike had his mouth open really wide.
"Twice as many!" Mushnik shouted in joy. Outside the Gliscor and Empoleon looked at each other while the Gliscor mouthed twice as many.

Ding-a-ling.

The door opened as another pokemon, a Blissey, entered.
"That little creature at the window, it's simply amazing."

Ding-a-ling.

Again the door opened with a Toxicroak wearing a flower hat.
"That creature in the window, where ever did you get it?" Again the door opened with a Gallaed pointing at Osteen2 with a Gardevoir.
"Look there it is Martha."
"Oh my gosh, it's peculiar!" The place soon got busy as pokemon wanted to buy something, keeping the 3 busy, moving about getting plants, wrapping them up, and taking money and putting it in the cash register. The Gliscor and Empoleon walked up to the door, only to be run down by the pokemon who had bought stuff were now leaving.

"Thank you! Come again." Mushnik happily said patting the Lucario's shoulder as he left the shop.
"Come again! Come and look at the weirdo creature some more." Mushnik followed the pokemon outside with Osteen in tow and Sara in the doorway holding Osteen2.
"It's just going to get bigger and more interesting!" Mushnik happily clapped his hand together, spinning Osteen around.
"What are we standing around for? Quick, quick, put that, oh what did you call it again?" Mushnik asked as he and Osteen reentered the shop.
"Osteen2."
"Well put that Osteen2 back on the window ledge so passer byers can see it. Oh happy day!" Mushnik put his arms around Sara and Osteen.
"I never thought this day could happen. My children, I'm taking us all out for dinner tonight!" Osteen suddenly stopped looking happy at Mushnik's sudden offer.

"Oh, I would love to join, but I got date tonight." Osteen left Mushnik's arm and headed towards the counter were Mike was sitting.
"With that same no good gal? I'm telling you Osteen you don't need a date with that gal, you major medical!" Mushnik followed Osteen, anger flared in his eye. Osteen picked up Mike, who nodded in agreement.
"She's a rebel Mr. Mushnik and she makes good money." Osteen stopped halfway out the door looking back at Mushnik.
"Besides, she's the only gal I got." Sara looked away, biting her lower lip and looking sad, not noticing that Mike had noticed her glum face.
"Enjoy dinner. Goodnight Sara." Osteen left the shop.
"Goodnight…Osteen." Sara watched Osteen leave as Mushnik came up to the doorway and leaned against it.
"Poor Osteen. I hope he doesn't continue dating this gal or I'm going to have to call the funeral department. I hope Mike can get the others to convince him otherwise." Sara nodded her head in agreement.
"Are we still going out for dinner?"

Mushnik looked at Sara before turning his attention at Osteen2, who was coughing and wheezing. His head dropped and his color started to pale.
"You're not going anywhere Osborn! You're staying right here and taking care of that sick creature!" Mushnik turned and floated over to the back room.
"I told you he's been giving me trouble. The Osteen2 is not very health guy."
"Just between the 2 of us nether is the Osteen1."
"If only I can identify what type of pokemon it is."
"Who cares about what type of pokemon it is? Look of what he's for business." Mushnik came out of the back room with a brown coat on and a black hat in his hand.

"So work Sara. Nurse this creature back to health."
"I know."
"You do?"
"Yes."
"Goodnight then." Mushnik closed the door, leaving Sara with the sick Osteen2.
"Sigh. Come on let's get you back in the box." Sara went over to the table. After putting Osteen2 in the box, she picked up the box and went over to the basement door.

Music started playing as Sara turned on the lights and went down the stairs. She stopped halfway ad looked out the small window which gave her a good view of the street. She saw Osteen brushing his hair at the window. She smiled dreamily turning her gaze at the picture frame above her bed. It had a picture of Osteen before he dated his girlfriend, looking happy and healthy. She sighed as she turned her attention back at Osteen2.
"Ah, 2y. I don't know what else I can do for you. Are you sick little guy? Or are you just plain stubborn? What is it you want? What is it you need?"

She placed the box on a desk. She took Osteen2 out and placed him on his stomach right next to it as Sara began to sing.
"I've given you shelter, I've given you food."
"You've given me nothing, but heartache and hurt."
"I'm beggin' you sweetly. I'm down on the ground."
She lifted Osteen2's head up looking at him with pleading eyes. She let go of his head with no reaction from him. "Live for me."
She floated around the room.
"I've given you pet food, and water to sip, I've given you play toy's, you've given me zip."
"Oh, how you were trouble."
"Oh, how you tease."
"Now please, live for me."
She went to a bookshelf, pulling out a book showing different pokemon regions.
"I've given you southern exposure to get you to thrive."
"I treated you kindly like I'm s'posed ta, you're barely alive."
"I've given pet food, hard as desert, to soft as mud."
She looked down at the ground seeing trash on the floor.
"I've given you play time and attention."
"Now what do you want from me, blood?"
"OW!"
She was looking at Osteen2 while throwing away the trash, not noticing that she picked up a rose that pricked her finger.

"Ouch. I really got to watch where I pick things up." She looked at her finger. It was bleeding. She sighed as she bent her neck as began to lick it. She sucked on it a few times, hearing someone else making sucking noises. She looked around herself. When she looked at the ground her eyes widened. A shadow was moving, and it wasn't hers.

She looked up to see Osteen2 sucking on his lips. Astonished by his sudden recovery, she went over to him. She happily smiled at Osteen2 as he still made sucking noise, still looking a little pale and sick. Sara imitated him reaching out with her wounded paw, only to snap it back quickly when Osteen2 tried to bite it. He started making sucking noises again.

Sara looked at him then at her finger. She reached out her finger again. She got the same result. She got a little scared, but she was starting to understand what he wanted. Double checking, Sara held her wounded finger inches away from his face.

Osteen2 opened his mouth and tried to reach for it. Sara pulled her paw back and the creature began to make sucking noises again. Sara pondered a moment before she stuck out her unharmed paw. Osteen2 looked at it a moment, and to Sara's surprise, he looked away crossing his front legs. She pulled back her paw, confirming her suspicion when Osteen2 went back to making the same noise again.

Sara looked at Osteen2 again, biting her lower lip as she sang again.
"I've given you food."
"I've given you shelter."
"But it seems you're not too happy, less I open a vein!"
She held her paw over Osteen2 squeezing her finger getting more blood out.
"I'll give you a few drops, if that'll appease."
A few drops a blood entered Osteen2's mouth, which he happily gulped up.

Sara stopped giving Osteen2 blood a moment to check on him. He was busy licking his lips, gulping down any blood he missed. Soon he sat up, regained his color, and looked a lot healthier. Sara looked at him in disbelief. Carefully, she picked him up and placed him back in the box. She turned to the stairs and began to sing again.
"Oh please."
She looked back at Osteen2. He was fast asleep, curled up in a ball.
"Oh, oh please. Live for me." Sara turned the lights off and closed the doorbehind her.

Osteen2 opened 1 of his eyes. It was totally dark but he saw perfectly fine. Getting up and looked around. Nothing but an empty box and a blanket underneath him. Jumping up, he grabbed the edge and peaked out. He was alone. Satisfied, he jumped back down. Taking in a lager breath, he began making grunting noises, with a few stretching noise too. After a few minutes, he stopped to look at himself.

He grew 2 feet taller, his wings were now a foot long, and his plates had grown a few inches bigger too. Satisfied with his work, he walked around his bed 3 times, lay down, curled up in a ball, and went to sleep with an evil smile on his face.
