I have too many ideas for fanfics right now…I have to write them all down and then it prevents me from writing the ones I already have posted. I'll keep trying to make this one a priority though!
Jerking away whirling around, Kisshu came face to face with Dark Dawn.
"D-Sorbet!"
Smiling, the white-haired girl sank onto the couch and looked him over with a gleam in her eyes.
"You've changed since you left home. You look weak. Being a human must be very inconvenient."
Turning away, Kisshu said, "Not really, some parts are actually really nice. I'm experiencing things I never did at home.
Dark Dawn closed her heavily eye-shadowed eyes and chuckled,
"Well that's no surprise, you hardly ever went out back on Cynnth!"
"I preferred the solitude."
Shrugging, Dark Dawn opened her icy blue eyes and looked at Kisshu again. She raised an eyebrow.
"What happened to your hair?"
Striving to remain calm so his cat ears wouldn't pop out, Kisshu replied evenly: "Hair dye. Obviously it didn't work out right."
"Yeah well-" Dark Dawn stiffened and pressed her left hand pressed against the side of her head as pain flashed briefly across her face. Then it vanished and she said,
"I have to go. Until our next chat."
Puzzled, Kisshu watched as the female alien vanished.
"What was that all about?" He wondered. His phone vibrated and he picked it up.
"Moshi moshi?"
"Hi Eirian. Ichigo, her friends from the Café, and myself were going to hang out together and I was wondering if you wanted to join us."
"Wh-sure, I'd love to!"
"Great, see you at the mall in fifteen minutes then."
"Okay, thanks Aoyama."
Setting down the phone, Kisshu grabbed his hoodie and left, noticing that his hair was finally back to green.
At the mall, the six Mews and Aoyama window shopped. Manga stores and music were the most interesting to Kisshu. The LOG Horizon manga and the American band Skillet were his favorites. Later, they paused to get some food at the food court.
"So Eirian, are you going home to visit your family this summer?" Asked Ichigo.
Kisshu shook his head.
"Why, na no da?" Asked Pudding curiously.
Looking down, Kisshu hesitated for a moment, and then decided to tell a version of the truth and whispered,
"I don't have one."
The Mews seemed stunned as he continued,
"I'm and orphan. My parents died in a cave collapse on…a cave tour. I was fostered and till technically am, but my foster family is too far away to visit."
Lettuce's eyes swam with tears, "Oh Eirian, I'm so sorry!"
Kisshu shook his head quickly, "Don't be! I'm fine, really."
Zakuro put a hand on his shoulder,
"Well since you have no other plans, how would you like to join the staff of Café Mew Mew at the beach for a week?"
"What?" Asked Kisshu, surprised. Mint nodded,
"Good idea, Onee-sama! It would be nice to have you along Eirian."
Kisshu shook his head again, "Thanks, but I couldn't."
"Why not, na no da?"
"Well I understand that renting a place on the beach is expensive. Add to that the cost of food and the fact that you all…well I don't want to intrude."
Ichigo laughed,
"Is that all? I'll speak to Shirogane and make him see sense if I have to, but I doubt that it will be necessary. He seemed to like you that time he met you. I'm certain you can come!"
Kisshu looked at the hopeful faces gazing back at him and the last of his resolve vanished.
"Well…In that case I'd love to go!"
The Mews and Aoyama beamed and Pudding squealed, launched herself over the table, and wrapped him in a hug. Laughing, Kisshu said,
"Pudding, I won't be able to go with you if you strangle me here."
Several moments later, Aoyama and Ichigo stood to leave. Kisshu did the same.
"We'll see you next week, Eirian," said Lettuce with a shy smile.
Kisshu nodded and turned to leave, then paused and asked,
"Why me?"
The others stared at him in confusion for a moment, then Aoyama replied,
"Because you're our friend, and friends look out for each other."
So Kisshu is now initiated as a part of the Mew Mew's and Aoyama's friend circle. How do you think this will affect his enmity towards Aoyama? You'll just have to read and find out I suppose.
