Here we go, two chapters in one weekend! I feel semi accomplished.
"Quiche Thunder Strike!"
The Chimera Animal dissolved in red light. Satisfied, Kisshu de-transformed and began walking home.
"That must be a record. I've never defeated one before the Mews got to it yet."
Turning a corner, Kisshu saw Aoyama and Ichigo crossing the street, probably on their way to a date. At the same moment, he noticed a car speeding out of the morning mist straight at the couple who were too deep in conversation to notice! Without thinking, Kisshu raced into the street and slammed into them, knocking them out of the car's path and falling into it himself. Just in time, Kisshu flattened himself against the asphalt and the car whooshed over him and away.
"Eirian!" Screamed Ichigo's shocked voice. Footsteps clattered towards him and he found himself being helped up by Aoyama and Ichigo and stumbled to the curb.
"What the heck were you thinking?!" Cried Aoyama, "Are you hurt?"
Shaking his head Kisshu replied,
"I'm fine. I just didn't think…I couldn't let you two get hurt."
Ichigo was pale and shaking as she whispered,
"You could have died for us…"
"Well it wouldn't have been the first time," thought Kisshu wryly.
Aoyama looked at him in concern,
"You should see a doctor to make sure you are one hundred percent alright."
Kisshu shrugged, "Maybe, but I feel fine."
Suddenly, a beep sounded from Ichigo's pocket. Pulling out her phone, she checked a text message, then looked at her boyfriend who nodded.
"Um, Eirian? Aoyama and I need to go now. Mew Mew emergency."
Kisshu nodded, "No problem, go and save the world Mew Ichigo." He smiled and winked.
Standing on her toes, Ichigo kissed Kisshu on the cheek and ran off with Aoyama towards downtown Tokyo. Blushing, Kisshu felt his cat ears pop out. He reached for his hood, and then realized that he wasn't wearing his hoodie. He muttered a curse,
"How do I hide them now?"
As Kisshu worried, his tail popped out as well and he soon decided that they weren't going away anytime soon, at least not with his current stressed out mentality. Passing people started to notice. A young girl tugged at her mother's skirt and pointed saying with glee and interest,
"Mommy look! That boy has cat ears and a tail!"
The mother hushed her and hurried her away, casting a bewildered and slightly freaked out look over her shoulder at him. His face positively on fire now, Kisshu fled into the park and ran towards Café Mew Mew, His ears flattened against his head and tail streaming behind him.
Keiichero and Shirogane were in the basement of Café Mew Mew, monitoring the movements of the five Mews when the door to the room burst open. They turned in time to see a figure with cat ears and a tail framed in the doorway.
"Who-" Before he could complete the question Shirogane was slammed and pinned against the wall. His eyes widened in surprise,
"E-Eirian! What in the world are you doing?"
Kisshu's hazel eyes blazed with rage and humiliation as he snarled:
"This is all your fault! You did this to me and I want some answers Shirogane!"
Keiichero grabbed Kisshu's shoulders and jerked him away. Shirogane straightened up and cried in surprise,
"You're the newest Mew Mew, Mew Thorn?"
"YES!" Kisshu yelled, "And now all these weird things are happening to me!"
Keiichero seemed interested, "What kinds of things?"
"When I transform my hair turns longer and white and it won't go away for about half an hour! Then I have cat ears and a tail that appear whenever I get startled or embarrassed."
"Big deal," yawned Shirogane. "Ichigo has the same thing happen to her."
Kisshu's eyes narrowed in a undeniably cat-like way as he lifted a hand and asked,
"Does anything like this happen to her?"
Flexing his fingers, Kisshu's claws unsheathed, gleaming cruelly in the dim light. Shirogane recoiled in shock,
"How-Keiichero?
Keiichero also appeared unnerved but covered it quickly and said, "Allow me to take some blood tests and I'll try to give you an answer."
"How do I control this?" Demanded Kisshu.
Shirogane sighed, "The ears, tail, and hair you'll have to deal with as best you can. Those claws on the other hand, sorry bad pun, I'm less sure about. I suppose that you will just have to watch the ways that you move your hands to prevent them from unsheathing."
"Just great…" breathed Kisshu in annoyance. A thought suddenly occurred to him and he blurted,
"I won't turn into a cat like Ichigo does will I?"
Keiichero looked up from the test results from where he had been analyzing Kisshu's blood and smiled reassuringly.
"I highly doubt it. The claws and lingering transformation will take the place of you becoming a cat. Besides, you would have to feel abnormally strong feelings of affection or excitement."
Kisshu was relieved, "Thank goodness."
Shirogane sank into a chair by his computer and asked, "Have you gotten used to transforming yet? That is, can you mutate whenever you want to or just in the heat of battle?"
"I've got it under control pretty well," responded Kisshu. Now that he had calmed down, his cat features had vanished and he made ready to leave. "How do you think the past six Chimera Animals were so easy to defeat?"
"You wore them down?" Asked Keiichero, impressed.
Kisshu nodded, "I should go now, thank you for answering my questions."
"Anytime," Promised Shirogane, adding quickly, "Oh and Eirian, I'll see you at the beach!"
As Kisshu left and Shirogane turned back to monitering the movements of the female Mew Mews, Keiichero prepared to go upstairs to bring down some food for he and his partner to share. He hastily saved the file containing information on Eirian's Mew status and started to leave, but something caught his eye.
"Ryou, look at this!" He gasped.
"What is it?"
"I forgot to title this file so the computer automatically saved it to the file with the closest matching DNA information."
Shirogane was impatient, "So?"
His face grave, Keiichero stepped aside saying, "Look at the name."
Leaning forward, Shirogane's eyes widened at the crazy possibility. At the top of the open document was the name
IKISATASHI KISSHU
