The Jedi strode through the corridor, her footfalls echoing as she past. Unlike most Jedi she didn't wear the browns that where normally associated with the Order; she was the first of her people to become a Jedi, and she would represent them; the grey and red colours, although faded by the suns of a hundred worlds, could be easily recognised as the markings of her people.

The few people she met scurried away or watched her with barely restrained awe; She had walked on the surface of Korriban, braved the depths of Kashyyyk and was one of two Jedi who had stood in defence of the Yuuzhan Vong against Lord Harper and returned.

She reached her destination, keyed in her authorisation code and looked directly into the scanner.

'Scanning...

Scanning...

Identity confirmed; Welcome Master Siha Fett.'

The door opened and she entered.

"I'll be with you in just a minute Siha; there should be some fresh caff on my desk if you want it."

The caff had been fresh half an hour ago, but Siha drank it anyway and considered how to break the news. As she waited she noticed the the desk was even messier than usual; notes and schematics all over the place, threatening to spill onto the floor.

"Professor..."

The high pitched wobbling sound that Siha hadn't even noticed finally stopped and the woman whose world she was to ruin appeared.

"No need to be so formal Siha, you're the Jedi Master after all."

"Jennifer; it's about Kiran..."

Jennifer met her green eyes with her brown and Siha was teleported back to the day Kiran's father, her master, had been betrayed and killed by Harper.

"... Starfighter Command are listing him as missing.

He never made the jump back from Tython."

Suddenly Jennifer was all business.

"When and where did you last have contact?"

Siha pulled up the information on the data pad; she'd been expecting Jennifer to want to know more.

"I see...

It's starting then."

"I'm sorry; what's starting?"

Jennifer poured some more of the caff and drank it without noticing it was stone cold.

"You remember the visions you had..."

"I was eight years old, that sort of thing doesn't leave you."

"Events are moving as we speak Siha, events leading to what you saw.

There are things in the dark spaces between the galaxies that are far worse than anything you've encountered before now."

"And you think that Kiran is fighting them?"

"Kiran is as much my son as Crix's.

He's smart, resourceful and powerful in the force. When the time comes.."

"..I will fight alongside him once again. Just like Korriban, just like Zonama Sekot."
