A/N: Most people thought that this story had died, but alas, it hasn't. I've been going through so much lately, it's not even funny. School, work, working out, plus babysitting my brothers & sisters is just nuts. Alot has been going on emotionally as well, but for those who've had faith in this story, thanks so much! :D

Chapter Sixteen: New Life

"Where the hell is Stiles?" asked Scott, as he angrily kicked the floor. He'd known Stiles since they were six years old, and the boy was never late to anything, not even his own surprise parties. Allison rubbed his arm in reassurance.

"He's most likely on his way, and even if he was in danger, one of you guys would sense it, you know?" she said, sending him a quick smile.

The pack had gathered outside of the Hale manor, and all were present albeit the hyperactive teenager that was absent. Derek sulked on the front steps, replaying the events from two nights prior, where he had voluntarily kissed Stiles, and if it weren't for his human senses kicking in last minute, he would've took the teen boy right then and there. He sighed in exasperation, retracting his claws repeatedly in frustration.

"I bet he's okay, just relax." said Peter's voice from behind him, as he walked over and sat down next to his nephew, "I can smell his scent on you, plus your heartbeat hitched when Scott mentioned his name."

"Stay out of my business." Derek replied viciously, "You have no idea what I'm going through right now."

"On the contrary, I do. It's not a sin to love Derek, trust me." Peter replied, trying to console his dear nephew.

"It is when you've been through what I've been through." He spat, glaring at his uncle in annoyance.

"Paige was a misunderstanding, Kate was a bad choice, but Stiles? The boy protects you, has protected you, yet loving him is a sin? He's been there for you since the day he found out you were innocent from the murders I committed. He's your mate, and you knew it since the day you found him and Scott in the woods looking for the inhaler. Laura wasn't the only reason you came back to Beacon Hills, was it?"

"No." Derek said simply, "You're right, but how am I supposed to tell him that he's been tied to me for life? Do you think he wants that?"

"Obviously, if he was bold enough to return the kiss." Peter said, getting up to join the others in the front area of the house.

Derek couldn't help it, his creepy uncle was right, and he needed to admit it to himself sooner or later. Stiles was his. His mate, his property, his to claim, and he'd take an oath to make sure this relationship didn't turn out as badly as Kate's or Paige's. He heard a rustling in the trees behind him, and Abby, Stiles and an unknown woman made their way into the crowd. Derek inhaled, and he could smell Stiles' mage scent, also Abby's werewolf scent, but the woman's, he couldn't recognize. Her striking beauty filled the area with peace and solace.

Scott stared in shock and awe, as he sank down to his knees.. tears pouring from his eyes like the roaring waters of the Niagra Falls. "Mrs. Stilinski.. h-how?"

With those words, everyone's mouths dropped, including Peter and Derek. Ana smiled at them all, her purity and happiness radiating from within her spiritual core. "It's nice to meet you all. This is the pack that has kept my son from danger."

"Stiles.. how.. how did you do this?" asked Erica.

"Abby's necklace has the power to bring someone back to life for a single day. I found the right spell, and bam, there she was." he replied, smirking.

"This.. this is incredible.." said Allison, "It's a pleasure to meet you Mrs. Stilinski, it really is."

"It's nice to meet you too Allison.. you're quite the hunter aren't you? I've known your father and mother for quite sometime. It was so sad to see your mother's astral form come into the spirit realm, we had so many good conversations about how proud of you she was." Ana replied, taking a hold of Allison's hand.

"R-Really?" she stammered, "W-what did she say?"

"She's so proud to see you standing up for what you believe in, she loves how you went against the code to protect those you love. She says you broke the dull seal, that you are the most wonderful hunter there ever was."

Allison began pouring tears, while she clenched onto Scott's arm. "I miss her so much! I love her, and I'm so sorry that I treated her the way I did before she died! I wish she'd know, that's what's been eating at me all this time! I could never forgive myself!"

Ana took Allison into an embrace, hugging her tightly while Allison cried onto her angelic shoulder. "Oh honey don't be upset, she knows. She knows you loved her very much."

Allison nodded before wiping away her eyes and rejoining the group, she whispered a small thank you before wiping her eyes again.

"Now, I must speak with the Alpha of this pack. There are something's you should be aware of." Ana said before stepping over to Derek, "That must be you." She smiled, "Come, take a walk with me."

Derek nodded silently before following her into the thick brush of the preceding forest. They walked for several minutes before Derek opened his mouth to talk, but Ana had beat him to it.

"Talia has told me much about you Derek. Whether you accept it or not, you're a great leader." she said, looking off into the distance.

"No.. with all due respect, I'm a horrible leader. I turned three misfit teens into uncontrolled beasts, two of which left me a while back. I almost got your son killed on multiple occasions, I turned an overbearing jock into a mutant lizard killing machine, and now I don't even know how to defend ourselves from what Elena's planning next." Derek replied sadly.

"Derek, you are an amazing Alpha.. you've given Isaac, Erica, and Boyd something they've always wanted, a better lifestyle. You fixed Erica's sickness, freed Isaac from the torture his father bestowed upon him, and cured Boyd of his anxiety. You give Scott a sense of leadership and trust, something he's had very little of growing up. You've given Allison and Lydia an escape from their lives to someplace happy. You've given my son the most important thing of all.. love."

Derek eyes were wide open, she couldn't believe it.. Surely it had to be a coincidence. "What?"

"You'll be an amazing mate to my son, and an even amazing protector. The stars spelled it out the day he was born, that he was gonna meet someone strong, with willpower, a leader.. one that would bring peace to those he commands." Ana said, smiling at him, "Just promise me one thing."

Derek was taken aback, starstruck at the words that came from this angel's mouth. He couldn't utter a single word, for fear he'd upset her, so he simply nodded.

"Please, love him. Take care of him after I'm gone." she said.

A lonely tear escaped his eye, as the sobs threatened to surface their way up his throat. He could only manage to choke out, "I Promise."

Julian stared at Elena as she furiously swiped away at the bark of the surrounding trees, her beta form showing nothing but pure rage at the loss of her mate back at Beacon Square. He watched her every move, studying each position that she used to pounce, and grab.

"She's been at it all morning." said Oktober from behind him.

"Has she?" Julian asked, motioning for her to sit on the log next to him. He turned back to watch as Elena let out a furious cry of frustration and despair as she ripped through another tree.

"She's been upset. What with Natalie leaving, Gabriel dying, and losing to Derek in the woods." Oktober replied, "It's almost.. sad."

"Wow, didn't know you felt any sympathy.." he said, chuckling a bit. "Glad to see you're doing better."

"Well, I have you to thank for that." she said curtly, lying her head down on his shoulder. "I was serious you know, about us just leaving."

"I want to, but we need to help Elena destroy Derek." Julian replied.

"What? Why?"

"The sooner we kill Derek, the sooner we can get my sister back." Julian said.

"Julian.. I know you miss Natalie, but it's her choice.. if she want's to take Derek's side, she can. Elena was using her the entire time." Oktober replied, rubbing his arm reassuringly.

"Don't you two have better things to do than mope around?" asked a voice from behind the trees.

Ethan walked out, with Aiden following. They both sat down on either side of Julian and Oktober, watching intently at Elena's practice session.

"She's pissed." Aiden laughed, shaking his head, "Oh crap, here she comes."

"Good, I got you all together. I've been working on something, something I only wanted to use as collateral for when things got truly out of hand. Me and Gabriel had done this before coming to Beacon Hills, and its high time I show you how to kick Derek where it really hurts." Elena explained, as she motioned them to follow her.

They walked down a dirt road to a see a large foundation of what used to be a cabin. The walls were fallen apart, with support beams covering the floors, and broken windows with glass strewn about. The cabin looked burned down, as if it was set fire to at one point. A swing, which looked like it once hung on the porch, was now broken and strewn about. The wolves shuddered in fear, seeing as something terrible must have happened in that cabin. They could smell something inhuman, but not of werewolf either, the scent rotting their nose with the stench of death mixed with the burning ashes of the cabin. Elena led them into a cellar, where they saw a young woman tied and bound to the wall, while a sadistic grin took form on Elena's face.

Derek, Stiles, Scott and Allison were running through the woods where they were told to meet Elena. She had strictly told him to come alone, but knowing her bag of tricks, he decided to bring those closest to him and the ones he deemed most powerful to the scene of meeting, whilst the others lay guard in the surrounding foliage.

"Derek, how good of you to come. Although it seems the word 'Alone' is too much to understand huh?" Elena taunted as she emerged from the darkness of the burned down cabin.

"Derek, I don't like this. Something's wrong with this place.. something evil." Stiles said, as he moved closer to Derek.

Allison had her bow ready at hand. "Tell us what you want."

"A negotiation is all." Elena smiled, her canines retracting from her gums.

"What kind of deal?" Scott intervened, "There's nothing to wager when it comes to you."

"On the contrary, I believe there is." Elena replied, wagging her index finger. "You see, I have something near and dear to Derek, something I'm pretty sure he hasn't seen in about six years."

"What are you getting at?" asked Stiles.

"Bring her out." Elena instructed, as Ethan and Aiden emerged from the darkness carrying a young woman who was bound and gagged.

"Cora!?" Derek shouted, as he ran to save her from the grasp of the Alpha's. Scott stopped him dead in his tracks.

"Derek it could be a trap! Who is she?" he asked.

"She's my sister! My younger sister!" Derek shouted, fighting to get out of Scott's grasp.

Scott, Allison and Stiles looked to Derek in shock at the revelation. Allison lowered her bow, while Scott brought his canines and claws back in, and Stiles lowered his hands.

"Good boy," Elena said, "Now for the deal.. You have until the Blood Moon to decide. You either surrender her to us, or we rip her heart out and shove it down her throat."

Like I said, sorry the late update. I've been really busy. I know this chapter sucks, trust.. I just wanted to tease you a bit lol don't hate me. Idk if i mentioned but this is the cast of the Alpha pack and all the extra characters.

Ethan and Aiden are played by The Sprouse Twins, only due to the fact that I want my fanfic different from the actual Season 3 that was aired, and anyway its time to give those two a comeback.

Ive also incorporated some elements from Season 3's actual canon divergence, such as referencing Paige although in this fanfic, Derek tried biting her himself and that's what killed her & also adding Cora in the fic as well.
