Welcome back to the Xenoblade Heart to Hearts series! Today, we start our antepenultimate, or third to last, location. This being Bionis' Interior. As per usual, Spyro and Cynder will start us off. So let's not waste a second. Here we go!
Heart to Heart 80: Is This Real?

Cynder: I can't be the only one who thinks this makes all the tunnel hopping we've done feel weird, right?
Spyro: Yeah, seeing the actual heart of Bionis makes this all seem like some surreal body horror or something.
Cynder: (With something almost imperceptible in her voice) It's still kind of interesting. I guess...
Spyro: Cynder? Are you okay?

Cynder: (Realizing she was heard) I'm okay, it's just... after our mutual love confession, an unwanted thought snuck into my mind.
Spyro: Unwanted?
Cynder: It's nothing, really. I banished it a while ago.
Spyro: You can tell me anything, Cynder. There are no more secrets between us. At least, I hope so.
Cynder: No use hiding it. I guess part of me was unsure of... whether it was real.
Spyro: What?
Cynder: I wasn't sure if you were just saying this because I was the only dragoness you ever met. Heck, I wasn't even sure if you liked dragonesses, period. I know it's stupid, absurd even, to think that it wasn't genuine, but...
Spyro: (Gently shushing her and throwing a wing over her) There's no need to let it intrude upon your thoughts any longer. Let me put it to rest. Every word I said was true. I would never lie to you in matters of the heart. I have loved you from the moment I set eyes on you. The feeling was unmistakable. Nobody else could ever tear me away from you. You're the only one my heart desires, Cynder.
Cynder: (Brushing a tear from her eye) That was absolutely beautiful. Thank you, Spyro.
Spyro: Anything for you, my beloved.

Cynder: It's absurd I know, but I guess I was lacking in love for so long... I wasn't sure of what it felt like anymore.
Spyro: (Trying to hide how distraught he is from her confession) I mean... that's understandable.
Cynder: Like I said, it was an invasive idea, brought on by an ugly past. Let's just put that behind us.
Spyro: Agreed. You... doubted that I truly loved you? I... I... Why?
(Net Affinity: 0)

Cynder: It's nothing. Really.
Spyro: So much for there being no secrets between us. You don't need to hide this from me, Cynder. I'm here for you, forever and a day.
Cynder: (Sighs) I guess... part of me just wasn't sure if what happened in that moment was real.
Spyro: What?
Cynder: (Starts tearing up) Can you blame me though, Spyro? I've never known love before, or at least not how to reciprocate it. I wasn't sure if what I experienced as a dream or not. Looking back on it now, that self-doubt had no right to intrude upon that moment.
Spyro: It's understandable. I hadn't considered that when I said what I said.
Cynder: Why would you have?
Spyro: Touche.
Cynder: Look, let's just put this behind us.
Spyro: (Unsure that she really has put it behind her) Sounds good to me.
(Net Affinity: 0)

Spyro: So much for there being no secrets between us. You don't need to hide this from me, Cynder. I'm here for you, forever and a day.
Cynder: (Sighs) I guess... part of me just wasn't sure if what happened in that moment was real.
Spyro: What?
Cynder: Good, he didn't hear me. I don't want to break his heart. It wasn't anything important. Just some dumb intrusive thought. Let's... let's put it behind us.
Spyro: (Quietly hurt by what he definitely heard) Oh. Okay. Did I just hear what I thought I heard? She doubted my love was true? I... I'm... My heart...

And that looks like a good spot to end today. Next time, our only game character in Bionis' Interior. We're nearing the wrap up now, I can't guarantee more than a few more updates.
