Naruto and Kimmimaro stared each other down, both grinning while they waited on the other to make the first move. As if a sign from the heavens to start, a lone leaf fell in between them. Just as it touched the ground, both disappeared from sight and clashed several feet away before springing back again.
Naruto quickly did a series of hand seals. "Raiton: Jibashi!" he yelled as a large bolt of lightning shot out of his hands towards the Kaguya.
Kimmimaro stood his ground and simply touched a palm to the ground. "Idaina Oku no Mai."(Dance of the great oak) He said as a large wall of dense bone popped up in front of him. Naruto's lighting impacted the wall of bone and exploded, sending fragment of bone everywhere.
Kimmimaro looked a bit shocked that the attack managed to destroy his wall of bone, but got over it quickly as Naruto charged towards him with a rasengan in hand. Kimmimaro narrowly avoided the attack as he reached to his back and pulled out his spine. "Tessenka no Mai: Tsuru." He said as he swung his new whip towards Naruto.
Naruto flipped back to avoid the whip as a shadow clone popped into existence beside him.
"Fuuton: Rasenbofu!" The clone said as it finished a set of hand seals before the wind started to violently whip around before it turned into a tornado.
"Amaterasu." The blonde said as his right eye began to bleed and the tornado was ignited with the unquenchable black flames.
"Moukaton: Kamikajiarashi no Jutsu!" (inferno release: divine firestorm) Naruto yelled out as the tornado went straight for Kimmimaro.
Kimmimaro for his part actually looked worried about this one and began to run away while the tornado chased him. He managed to successfully avoid the attack until it ran out of chakra, at which point he lashed out at Naruto with his whip again, successfully managing to grab him this time.
"You've fought honorably, but your time has now come. Tessenka no Mai: Hana." Kimmimaro said as his left arm turned into a large pointy drill. He thrust it towards Naruto intent on ending the blonde's life, but Naruto had other ideas. Once again his right eye began to bleed before Kimmimaro was set ablaze by his amaterasu. The Kaguya yelled in pain and stopped mid stab to concentrate on saving himself. He quickly grew a new layer of bone over his skin and blasted the old layer off, scattering the flames across the yard.
"I must admit that you are quite a challenge…" Kimmimaro said, trailing off at the end.
"Naruto. Naruto Namikaze. And likewise." Naruto replied.
"I'm called Kimmimaro. Win or lose it has been an honor to face an opponent such as yourself."
"You too. Now let's carry on shall we?" Naruto replied and Kimmimaro nodded before doing some hand seals.
"Sawarabi no Mai." Kimmimaro said as the ground began to rumble. Naruto knew nothing good could come from this, and how right he was. He barely had time to move as a large pointed bone shot out of the ground where he was just standing. He leapt to the side to avoid it, but as soon as he landed another shot out. He ran all across the field with the same results before finally leaping to the side of one of the bones and clinging with chakra as the bones continued to sprout along the field.
He thought he was safe for the moment since he couldn't see Kimmimaro anywhere, but that idea was proven wrong when he was kicked in the back and launched across the field. He saw Kimmimaro half fused with the large bone before he simply disappeared again. Naruto landed on another of the bones only to be knocked off once again. This time he pulled a few of his special kunai out and scattered them around the now formed bone forest before landing on one of the bones.
As soon as he landed he dropped the last kunai before flashing away as Kimmimaro came out with a bone sword in hand intent on ending the fight. He reappeared across the field just long enough to flash back to Kimmimaro with a flaming ball of chakra in hand.
"Katon: Rasengan!" Naruto shouted as he reappeared underneath the Kaguya and thrust the ball of fire into his chest, engulfing the man in fire and launching him out of the bone forest and into the air. Naruto knew he needed to end this soon because he was beginning to feel the wear from using Kurama's chakra.
The blonde Hokage grabbed his right forearm with his left hand and soon lightning began to cackle in his palm before intensifying and forming into a perfect sphere. The ball compressed slightly and glowed a bright blue in color; it sounded like a flock of birds getting ran through a jet turbine.
Kimmimaro was injured pretty bad from the first hit, but made it due to his bone defenses; but by the look and sound of this new jutsu, he was done for sure. He slowly fell back towards the ground, unable to do anything but watch as the blonde disappeared from sight. The next thing he knew there was extreme pain and the world went white.
When the light died down, Kimmimaro was looking up at the sky. It was hard to breathe and his everything hurt like hell. He knew he would be dead within the minute.
"Congratulations on your victory Naruto-san, at least I was able to give my life doing what I believe in." Kimmimaro said with mild difficulty.
Naruto looked down at the pale teenage boy with the large hole through his heart. By all means he should've long been dead, but he made it long enough to say a few last words. "Thank you Kimmimaro-san. It was an honor fighting you. Maybe in a different life we could've been friends."
Kimmimaro allowed a small grin to show on his face as his breathing ceased. Naruto bowed his head at the loss of a great warrior before burying him with a simple doton jutsu and hurrying off to catch up with Sasuke.

Sasuke stared on in awe as the purple chakra exploded from the crater and whipped around violently. "Shit… I hope Naruto catches up soon or I may be in trouble."
No sooner than the thought crossed his mind, he had to duck under a jyuken strike from Neji, with a visible wave of chakra blasting from his palm.
Sasuke tried to counter with a punch to Neji's stomach, but the white eyed teen flipped backwards to avoid it.
"Face it Uchiha, your clan has always been inferior to the Hyuga! Now die by hand and see the power of a real clan!" Neji yelled maniacally as he disappeared from sight again, reappearing with his hand in Sasuke's stomach.
Sasuke grunted in pain as he was rocketed out of the woods and onto the ground near the feet of the large Madara Uchiha statue at the Valley of the End. He barely had time to roll over before the ground exploded beside him courtesy of the crazed Hyuga.
"Can you see it now Uchiha?! You can't change fate, and yours is to die here!" Neji yelled as he turned and kicked Sasuke through the air once again.
Sasuke managed to right himself in the air and land on his feet, already doing hand seals. "You're wrong. Fate is just a twisted dream, an excuse for those who can't own up to their own shortcomings. Now let me show you who is really the superior clan! Katon: Karyuendan!" he yelled out as a large stream of fire erupted from his mouth and covered the Hyuga.
As the flames began to die down, a swirling blue ball remained standing in the middle of the barren landscape before it slowed to a stop, revealing Neji standing there unharmed.
"The ultimate defense of the Hyuga. No attack can penetrate it." Neji said with a grin.
Sasuke for his part had half expected this to happen, which is why he used the attack as a diversion so he could remove his leg weights. "Thank you you bushy browed weirdo." He thought as chakra began to pour out around his body.
"Hachimon: Kaimon kai!" (8 inner gates: gate of opening release) Sasuke yelled as he disappeared from sight and reappeared across the field with his foot on Neji's face. The young Huyga was launched backwards and over the cliff, into the waters below as Sasuke smirked.
"That about evens the playing field I'd say." Sasuke said as he leapt down into the valley.
As he landed on the surface of the water, nothing could have prepared him for what he saw. Neji stood atop the water, his normally neat, black hair was standing up behind him in grey spikes. His nails had turned into elongated claws. A large pair of bat-like wings had sprouted from his back. His eyes, once white and pupil-less had turned black with a small 4 point star in place of a pupil, and the swastika that once adorned his forehead had turned into a barbwire-like stripe across his forehead and down his cheeks.
Sasuke had only felt this kind of power in one person before, and that was Naruto while using Kurama's chakra.
"You've forced me to use my full power, congratulations Uchiha, I didn't think I'd have to go this far." The monster Neji said as he looked towards Sasuke.
Sasuke fought back his anxiety and blurred from sight towards the Hyuga, but was met half way by a devastating kick to his face that launched him into the wall of the valley. Before he had a chance to move, Neji was on him once again, kicking him further into the wall before jumping back and grinning.
Sasuke grunted as he fell out of the crater and struggled to his feet. Between opening the first gate and getting his ass kicked he was starting to wear down.
"Last chance here I suppose. Hachimon: Kyumon kai! Seimon kai!" Sasuke yelled as his skin turned reddish and the chakra exploded around his body.
"Stop trying to defy fate Uchiha!" Neji yelled as the evil purple chakra began to gather around his hand before leaping towards Sasuke.
Sasuke noticed the chakra forming and quickly did 3 hand seals and grabbed his wrist as lighting began to cackle and jump around, covering his hand in a loose ball shape before leaping towards Neji.
"Raikiri!"/"Hakke Hasangeki!" (8 trigrams mountain crusher) They both shouted at once as the attacks collided, blasting a large wave of chakra out around them as they fought for dominance.
As each tried to gain the upperhand over the other, a large dome of chakra appeared and covered the two briefly before it exploded.

Naruto leapt through the trees as fast as he could go in pursuit of his friend and the missing Hyuga. Just when he was about to leap down into the clearing, he saw the large dome of chakra form and then explode.
"Shit!" He yelled to himself as he landed in the clearing and dashed down into the valley.
He arrived just in time to see Kabuto grabbing Neji's unmoving body with Orochimaru heading towards Sasuke, who was conscious but unable to move due to the gates.
Kabuto looked up and saw Naruto coming towards them and promptly had a PTSD moment, passing out and dropping the Hyuga.
"Shit, Kabuto!" Oro yelled as he glared at the young Hokage. "It seems you've ruined my plans again Naruto-kun… No matter, I will get what I desire." He said as he went to Kabuto and Neji before the trio sunk into the water and their chakra signal vanished.
"Damn you snake!" Naruto shouted as he stomped the water before he turned to Sasuke. With a quick fire shunshin, he was at his friend's side.
"You alright?" he asked as he knelt down beside Sasuke.
"Does it look like I'm alright? My everything is broken from opening three of the gates." Sasuke said causing Naruto to crack a small grin.
"Okay maybe that was a stupid question. Let's get you to the hospital." He said as he put a hand on Sasuke's shoulder and the two disappeared in a flash of yellow.

A few days later
"Are you sure about that?" Naruto said as he sat at his desk going over a recent mission report.
"Yea, I had intended to take you, but being the Hokage and all, you can't hardly leave the village for three years, now can you?"
"No I suppose I can't. I approve if that's what you want to do, you can leave as soon as he gets out of the hospital. I just expect you to report in every three months until you return."
"I'll try, but you know how it gets with the research and training and all that."
"Whatever. Good luck at it, and he better come back stronger than me."
"That's a big shoe to feel Ero-Gaki-sama, no promises." Jiraiya said as he climbed out the window of Naruto's office and disappeared.

About a week later
"You ready to go?" Jiraiya said as they approached the village gate.
"I was born ready."
"Respect your elders!" Jiraiya yelled as he bopped Sasuke on top of the head, earning a glare from the Uchiha.
"Act your age!" Naruto shouted as he in turn bopped Jiraiya on the head, earning a glare from the toad sage and a laugh from the Uchiha.
"Now then, as I said, I want reports every three months, and any time you find anything extra suspicious."
"Yea yea, no promises. See you in a few years, Ero-Gaki-sama." Jiraiya said before turning to leave.
"See you guys, better be prepared for a contest when you get back Sasuke." Naruto said with a smie.
"It won't even be a challenge after I'm done with this training. See you." Sasuke said before turning to catch up with Jiraiya.

So this is the end of the first half. I know Naruto didn't go with Jiraiya but he will still train and learn some new tricks of course. Sasuke will not be getting the toad or snake summon contract, but he will get a summon.
By the way, I need an idea for a cool nickname for Naruto, I tried to think of something and drew a blank. So submit your ideas in a review or pm, and im gonna try to have the next chap out within the week.
