Back at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, life was moving along as smoothly as anybody could hope. Marlene and Sirius were in a so called 'honeymoon period' of their relationship. They hadn't told anybody, but their positive energy was rubbing off on their friends. To their immense delight, Rita Skeeter had apparently kept her knob shut for three whole days, and the school hadn't yet received the latest of the rumour mill.
Unfortunately as it was still mid-November, Christmas holidays would only start in a few weeks. This left Dorcas, Remus, Marlene, Sirius and Peter holed up in the library, finishing up essays and studying for tests.
Sirius rubbed his eyes tiredly and leaned back in his chair.
"I'm fried," He complained.
Remus raised his eyebrows, "You just got here, Padfoot"
"Moony my friend, my mind was made for greater things than memorising how to brew Vertiserurm. Actually, come to think of it, I already know it," Sirius grinned triumphantly.
Marlene laughed, "Yeah right. There's about 38 steps to it! How could you possibly know all of it – you never study."
Sirius' grin widened "Mars darling, how many times have you girls played Marauder truth with us? You can't get an almost illegal potion off the counter,"
"Wait, so you brewed that potion yourself every time?" Marlene said, impressed. Sirius winked and she cleared her throat, glancing back down to her parchment. "And don't call me Mars," she muttered.
Sirius leaned in closer to her and she could feel his breath tickle her neck. "Didn't seem to mind so much last night, love" Marlene jabbed him in the ribs and Sirius winced and backed off before chuckling to himself.
Remus was curiously looking at the pair – they certainly seemed to be getting on better than usual. Only three days ago, he found Sirius using cheap pick-up lines on her and Marley throwing anything she could get her hands on at his face.
"What do you reckon's going on there, then?" He heard a whisper. Turning to his left, he met the amused gaze of Doe.
Shrugging Remus smiled at her. "Whatever it is, I'm not complaining."
Dorcas nodded before going back to helping Peter with his charms essay.
On the other side of the table, it seemed as though Sirius was taking it upon himself to test Marlene's self-control. After easily getting bored of schoolwork, Sirius decided to inch his hand up Marlene's skirt. Even though she and a few other students were still in their Hogwarts uniform, Marlene was the type of girl who no matter what, rarely wore pants – even as winter was well and truly upon them, she could be seen flouncing around in a short skirt and thick scarf. It generally seemed odd, but she somehow was able to pull it off. Sirius, as a hormonal teenager, just found it that much easier to play his game. Marlene surely knew, but apparently she didn't mind enough to switch to slacks.
Grinning slyly, Sirius drummed his fingers on Marlene's knee – testing the water. She just smirked up at him and shook her head before going back to her work. Trying to be as subtle as possible, he pretended to inspect the bookshelves as he slowly rubbed her inner thigh – though still relatively innocently. Out of the corner of his eye he spotted Marlene somewhat shiver as she turned to him – he kept his eye on the books but stuck his tongue out ever so slightly and flicked it. Marlene reddened slightly and swallowed nervously before glancing at their friends. Luckily they were still very much preoccupied.
Breathing carefully, Marlene tried to keep it even. She was shifting anxiously as Sirius' hand crept a little higher up her right thigh – now half way up. She could feel herself pounding and could just imagine Sirius smug face. In annoyance, Marlene gathered up all her self-control and rearranged her facial expression to indifferent if not bored. She mentally high-fived herself as she heard Sirius quietly growl.
Deciding it was time for revenge, Sirius accidently dropped his quill on the ground. As he leaned down to conceal his whole arm below the table, he swiftly jerked his arm all the way up Marlene's leg before letting his fingers brush against her nether regions ever so slightly and bringing it back. Marlene gasped loudly – completely unprepared – and went bright red. Sirius smiled in satisfaction, placing his quill lightly back on the table. The others looked up curiously.
"What happened?" Dorcas questioned concernedly. Sirius fought to contain his laugh and coughed instead. Remus turned to look at him, confused.
Marlene cleared her throat and muttered "Uhh, I forgot something – um my transfiguration textbook – in my dorm," She stood up, not meeting anyone's eyes out of embarrassment.
Doe raised her eyebrows "I thought you were studying divination today?"
Sirius hummed mysteriously "Maybe things are a little too unpredictable at the moment. I certainly find transfiguration much more hands on if you know what I mean," He finished with an intelligent expression. Marlene reddened even more, if it were possible.
Peter nodded seriously, as a fellow divination student "I quite agree."
She awkwardly cleared her throat again and made her way out the library. A few minutes passed as Marlene rushed to the bathrooms to splash her face with water. "Sirius is going to pay for this one –"she muttered to herself. Suddenly a portrait opened and out came the devil himself, strutting casually as he tucked a piece of parchment into his back pocket.
"McKinnon," He greeted amicably. Marlene narrowed her eyes.
"Black," She growled before pulling him back into the secret passageway behind the portrait and shutting it behind her. Sirius raised his eyebrows but humoured her anyway.
The next thing he knew, Marlene began snogging the life out of him – not holding back any moans. Grinding into his body, she clutched his loose red and gold tie as if it was her lifeline. Sirius responded with just as much enthusiasm after a moment's notice.
"To be honest, I thought you'd be angry at me Mars," he said in between kisses.
"Oh I am," Marlene assured him, before breathing out "But right now I'm horny as fuck, so just do me will you?"
Sirius moaned in anticipation and hoisted her up – so he didn't have to keep straining his neck – backing her up against the wall and placed feather kisses down her neck. He slowly inched her black sweater up and pulled out her white shirt from where it was tucked neatly in her skirt. Sirius quickly pulled off her sweater as Marlene helped him with his own between snogs.
He managed to undo three of her buttons before the portrait opened.
As the brighter lights of the corridor filled the secret passageway that Marlene and Sirius were occupying both parties groaned in annoyance. The Gryffindor couple in particular, looked murderous. At the sight of her ex-boyfriend, Marlene grimaced and tried concealing herself behind Sirius. They had certainly not ended on happy terms.
"Howards" Sirius spat venomously.
Aston Howards paled at the sight in front of him before flushing an angry fushia shade. "Get away from Marlene. That's my girlfriend, Black."
Marlene rolled her eyes. "Ex-girlfriend" she said, slowly as if speaking to a child. This is what you get for only dating a guy because of looks, Marlene thought. Aston had light brown wavy hair, strong arms and brilliantly yellow eyes. But apart from that, he really was a useless slug.
Aston pulled out his wand furiously, but before he could think of any kind of spell, Sirius stepped forward and punched him straight in the jaw. He heard a click and a scream of pain as the Ravenclaw fell to the ground. As their bad luck continued, a prefect from the eagle house themselves arrived, startled.
A snooty girl with unwashed hair and a pointy nose strode towards them. Marlene groaned and Sirius rolled his eyes. "Here were go," He muttered. Marlene had already begun re-buttoning her shirt. The sight of her ex-boyfriend was enough to sober her right back up.
Lily walked down the stairs with a tired heart – sluggishly keeping her alive. Having James stay with her was probably the only thing keeping her sane, but even so, the pain of losing her parents lingered – strengthening every moment the longer they spent in the house.
She met him in the kitchen – James always was an early riser. He had a cup of tea in both hands and he handed one to her with a small smile.
"Thanks" Lily muttered and sat on a barstool. She rubbed her painfully red eyes and cleared her croaky throat. James grasped Lily's hand comfortingly and squeezed it. He was tracing circles with his thumb and the slow rhythm of pressure was doing its job.
"I checked the mail … There's a letter from Petunia." James said hesitantly. Lily put down her tea mug as James handed the unopened letter.
Grabbing a knife from the draw, Lily opened the envelope to find her sister's neat script.
Lily,
I tried calling earlier today, but the phone line isn't working. Did your freakish kind do something to ruin that too? Whilst I was here before you finally decided to come, an old weirdo came by – said his name was Dumbledore or something odd like that. He told me to tell you that he'd be in touch soon – don't know why he couldn't have said it himself but there you have it.
I have decided to sell the house, and you can thank that old man because you will be receiving half the money.
Anyway, you will need to arrange a funeral for Mum and Dad, and don't you dare mess it up. I would have done it properly myself of course, but Vernon and I have just returned from Rome and I'm far too exhausted. Send me the details to 4 Privet Drive Little Whinging Surry.
Petunia
Lily scrunched the letter up and pushed it away from her. James had been reading the letter over her shoulder and was looking angrily at the piece of paper. He took a deep breath before calmly suggesting "I can do the funeral work, if you'd like Lily,"
Lily shook her head "No I need to do something anyway, thanks for offering though,"
"Of course" James muttered.
The pair spent the rest of the day organising the catering, tombstones, funeral directors and filling paperwork. Deciding to hold a small ceremony, Lily and James wrote out about 20 or so invitations and sent them out. James also wrote to their friends at school, letting them know that the event was being held a week from now.
Breakfast at Hogwarts the next morning was a sombre one. The mail had just arrived, and in it was an invitation to the funeral being held in Surrey. The small positive air that had lingered for a few days at Hogwarts disappeared like leaves dropping off of trees before winter. Though the orange and yellow would give an enchanting feel, it was inevitable that they would fall to the ground any minute, at the slightest change of wind.
As the small group stared at the short sheet of parchment, no one spoke a word. Dorcas was first to crumple, as she put her face in her hands – but did not dissolve into tears. Remus hesitated for a moment before cautiously putting his arms around her. Peter sniffed sadly and returned to his pancakes with much less enthusiasm as he had first had. Sirius and Marlene simply looked at each other – their expressions mirrored. Both were the kind of people to not get too emotional in situations. And so any sadness and grief they held was directed into determination and anger. Holding hands under the table, they each vowed to hunt down Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters or die trying.
Lily fell into an uneasy sleep that night. She was still trying to figure out what Professor Dumbledore had been doing, and what he needed to tell them. Her nights were often plagued with dreams. She wasn't sure if they were nightmares, because technically they were beautiful. But often beautiful things can also be haunting – and every morning, Lily would wake up confused and hurt, not remembering what she had dreamt.
She supposed that her parents dying was the last straw –her worst fear. If fact, Lily's boggart had been the death of her parents. And now that that was completed, the only way she could hurt more is have dreams that constantly reminded her of them.
The oddity of her situation was making Lily unstable. She couldn't think straight and everything felt so unreal to her. She would completely blank out at times and didn't even know why. Lily also knew that James was very worried. He didn't force her to talk about it because he could tell that she was drained – just waking up every morning.
It was 4:30am when Lily awoke. She was breathing heavily. She felt James shift his position next to her but didn't open his eyes. She sat up for a while, letting the last of her tears drip down her pale face. Feeling dirty, Lily quietly got up and went downstairs to shower. Grabbing a towel and a set of clean clothes she made her way down.
As she walked past the kitchen, she paused – heart beating loudly and mouth running dry.
James woke up like he had an internal alarm at 6:00am. He felt around for Lily and found the space to be empty. Panicking, he shot up, but when he found that her towel was missing, James made his way down the stairs and relief flooded him as he heard the water running.
Slowing down his pace, James decided to go on with his morning routine of making tea and perhaps eggs for breakfast. Lily looked like skin and bones no matter how much she ate. Opening the drawer for a small knife to open the tin of sugar, James noticed that it was missing. Frowning, he looked through the other draws. He was the only one who made them tea and he was positive that he'd put it back.
James froze as a horrible thought came to him. And as soon as it did, he sprinted to the bathroom.
"LILY!" He shouted, alarmed. If he listened closely, he could hear muffled crying. "Lily, are you okay?" he asked urgently. The crying stopped for a bit.
"No," He heard – almost inaudible.
James paused for a minute, blinking furiously. He bit his lip, "Can I come in?" He asked carefully.
After what felt like an eternity, James heard an even quieter "Please,"
Unlocking the door, James found Lily sitting in the shower completely naked and hair dripping down her face. She was curled up and her head was tucked into her knees. The small knife was sitting as far away from her as possible in the small cubicle and there were thin streams of red.
Tears sprang to James' eyes and he felt his heart drop to pits of middle earth. "Oh Lils," He whispered. He took the towel off the rack and opened the door. Turning off the tap, he wrapped the soft yellow material around her and pulled her up.
Stepping out of the shower, Lily started shivering and kept her eyes downcast. James fixed the towel so it covered her from her armpits down and brought another towel that hung as part of décor and wrapped it around her shoulders. Hugging her tightly, James picked up her clothes and led her out into the study room right by it. There he turned the heater on extra high and pulled her onto the bed. Taking his wand out of his pocket, James magically dried Lily's hair so it was back to being bouncy – though it had definitely lost the vibrancy it once held. Now that Lily had fewer chances of catching a cold, he sat her on the rug beside the heater and held her tight, kissing her head lightly. She had refused to look up into his eyes so James nudged her lightly.
"Lily?" He spoke softly. She scrunched up her face and closed her eyes, burying her head into his shoulder and shaking with tears that weren't there anymore.
"Shhh" James soothed, rubbing her back. "It'll be alright," he said with confidence he didn't really have. If he was honest with himself, seeing Lily so vulnerable and alone shook him to his core, and he wasn't sure if he could ever forgive himself for allowing her to feel that way.
"I'm so sorry!" Lily wailed "You must be so disappointed in me. I'm weak, James!"
James was vigorously shaking his head before she'd even finished. "Lily no, you aren't weak – you're the strongest person I know. You've got the biggest heart and the purest of souls, and I've only now realised what a burden that can be. If it's anyone who should be sorry it's me – I came here to be your rock, but all I can do it is make tea." Lily chuckled at that, and James was happy to see her smile.
"You can do a lot more than make tea, James" she said, looking up at him at last. "You make me feel safe and treasured and somehow you still look at me like I'm wonder woman." She smiled gratefully at James who looked confused at the mention of a muggle superhero. Instead of wondering who this woman was, he leaned down and kissed her tenderly.
"Do you want to change? I'll just be outside," He said. After waiting for the affirmation, he waited patiently by the door. A lone tear slipped out, which he wiped away quickly, as Lily opened the door again. Sitting back down on the rug, James pulled out his wand.
"Do you want me to heal the marks a bit?" He asked. Lily cast her eyes down for a moment again and nodded slowly. Lying down in front of him she pulled up her sleeves and shirt. James tapped each cut lightly on her arms and waist. The majority was removed, but a faint pink line remained. He frowned, "Guess, healing isn't my forte" Lily smiled sadly at him and sat up.
He picked up her hand and kissed each mark. He gently propped Lily up so she was on her knees and pulled up her shirt, placing the softest touch of his lips to the pink marks.
"You'll be alright, Lily. I promise." He muttered.
"I can't stay in this house anymore," Lily whispered. James slowly nodded.
"Come over and stay at mine."
Classes back at Hogwarts were moving slower than usual – the lack of pranks was getting noticeable. However, the Christmas Ball was proving to be an excellent distraction – not to mention that the bake sale had gone so well, that they hadn't needed to keep going. Needless to say, everything was running smoothly. Remus had the prefects organise the details with mounds of time to spare.
As a Hogsmead weekend was approaching, Marlene and Dorcas decided they would do well to find dresses – and so did the rest of the 7th, 6th and 5th years. Most boys however, already had dress robes for special occasions and did not feel the need to buy a new pair.
Donning on their thickest coats – and Marlene her thickest skirt over a pair of thin tights – the students made their way out of Hogwarts and into Hogsmead village. The shops were crowded with frantic girls, but eventually Marlene and Dorcas each found a dress they were very happy with. However, as they made to the door of Madame Pomett's Robes for Special Occasions they spotted an emerald dress which would fit in with the Arabian theme perfectly and would look dazzling on a particular redheaded friend of theirs.
"Oh Doe, look at that!" Marlene sighed. Dorcas turned to where Marlene was pointing and checked the tag.
"We need to get this for Lily! It's even her size." She exclaimed. Dorcas was always a happy shopper.
"How much is it? I'm not sure if I have enough gold," Marlene said, looking through her purse which was charmed with an undetectable extension charm.
Dorcas checked the price, and gaped. "20 galleons! How on earth can we afford it?"
Marlene pouted, looking at the dress. It was floor length and had a plunging neck, which would look amazing with Lily's height and long legs.
"We could… get the guys to pitch in? Maybe 4 galleons each? I think that would work… It'll be her Christmas present." Marlene said triumphantly.
Magnificent – that was the word to describe Potter Manor. Three stories high, its dark walls were clean with flowers peeking out of balconies and a large statue of a pride Stag. The front garden was filled with neatly prunes shrubs and flowers of all kind. Lily took a moment to admire the view before remembering who lived in it.
"Holy mother of Jesus" Lily whistled. James raised an eyebrow at her choice of words and started laughing.
"It's really not that grand when you actually live in it. Come on, you can meet my parents," He said happily. This made Lily get a little nervous – she hadn't really thought it through when she was eager to leave her own home.
"Don't worry, they'll love you!" He rolled his eyes and while enchanting their luggage with one hand he dragged Lily to the front door with the other.
As they reached the front porch, James easily slipped his hand from Lily's elbow to her hand and clasped it comfortingly. Setting the trunks down, he rang the doorbell.
When the door opened almost instantly, a small house elf appeared.
"Master James," said the small creature with a surprisingly deep voice (for its kind – to Lily it sounded like a 4 year old boy).
"Hello Dippy, meet Lily. Lily, this is Dippy – our Head Elf," James introduced. Lily choked on her saliva.
"Head elf? How many do you have?" Lily asked incredulously. James' cheeks pinked before answering.
"A few, don't worry about it," He mumbled, inviting Lily in. Walking in, the first thing she saw was a pretty entrance hall with marble floors and colourful flower decorations. The walls were crisp white and an impressive staircase began from either side of the room. Behind the stairs, Lily found herself in the lounge, adorned with no doubt the finest handcrafted furniture. She noticed however – to her slight surprise – that though the manor was probably one of the finest housing estates in the country, it still harboured a homey feel that was both welcoming and comfortable. Where Malfoy or Black Manor intended to intimidate and belittle their guests, Potter Manor impressed and enchanted them.
"James, is that you?" Came a woman's voice from the dining hall.
"Mum! Come meet Lily!" James shouted back energetically and picked up his pace. Lily gulped nervously and followed. To her relief the woman who came to stand in front of them was rather old, rather short and wearing a simple (yet clearly classy) attire. She had a large smile and the corners of her eyes crinkled as she saw her only son and his accomplice.
"Good to see you dearest," she said warmly, hugging James with a strong grip. Turning to Lily she didn't hesitate to give her a hug too. Lily smiled widely and returned the gesture.
"So this is the woman my son has been prattling on about – I've heard you gave him quite a tough time" She said, raising her eyebrows.
"Err … " Lily stuttered nervously. What was one meant to say to the mother of your ex-enemy and boyfriend? Luckily, Mrs Potter just laughed at Lily's terrified expression and patted her back.
"Not to worry, Lily – I really have you to thank, I'm afraid Charlus and I may have spoilt him over the years," She laughed lightly. James pouted as Lily smiled uneasily – she saw where he got his mischief from. "So what brings you two to this neck of the woods?"
Lily began chewing the inside of her lips – like she always did when she felt guilty. Luckily for her, she didn't have to ask.
"Actually – ah Lily's parents passed away – " James began but Lily automatically interrupted.
"Murdered, actually" she said robotically, not really thinking. Mrs Potter clapped her hand over her mouth and gasped.
James nodded before continuing. "Yes – so we were hoping to stay here till the funeral."
Mrs Potter began nodding before James had even finished. "Of course, of course! Oh Lily, I'm ever so sorry for your loss." She said softly. Lily smiled sadly and thanked her.
"I'm very grateful for your kindness Mrs Potter " Lily said politely – and it was completely true. She may have had her doubts, but now Lily could say with complete certainty that Mrs Potter was one of the kindest people she'd met.
"Call me Dorea, sweetie," She smiled before leading them to the table where a house elf had set out lunch.
Remus Lupin if anything was one proper gentleman – at least that was what the majority of the student body thought. As he made his way down to the library, he had a nervous twitch going in his left leg. He tried shifting his book back but it didn't seem to help. Sighing Remus finally decided to succumb to his thoughts.
The reason for with nerves was Dorcas Meadows. With her chestnut brown hair that was bushy and fell to her shoulders in waves one might not expect too much. On the contrary – Dorcas could have easily been the most beautiful girl in the castle. She didn't have model like looks like Marlene, or the grace and elegance of Lily but there was something about her that captured your attention with a simple smile. Her startlingly light blue eyes and a soft dimpled chin went perfectly with the sprinkle of freckles on her porcelain skin – giving one the impression of angelic beauty and innocence.
Remus laughed humourlessly to himself as these thoughts ran through his mind. Both of them were seen as perfect model students and yet both were quite the opposite at heart. With his fellow marauders, Remus wouldn't hesitate to be crude and laugh at immature jokes. He didn't feel the need to always reprimand his friends (though when James and Sirius got carried away with elaborate pranks, Remus would be the voice of reason).
Doe was a sweet little thing at 5 foot 3 inches – but she packed a whole lot of strength and power. If she came out of her shell more, she'd be able to hold her own against Sirius and James but she never seemed to care. Come night though – and she turned into quite a sight. Although not much of a drinker, Doe Meadows could only really feel alive when she was high. She smoked more than any of her friends – including both Marlene and Sirius – and had tried quite a few muggle candy. Safe to say, not many people knew the real Dorcas – not even her best friends.
Arriving at the double doors, Remus entered the room filled with vast amounts of books. The knowledge the room held sent shivers down his spine. To think – the secrets and loopholes to a magical life were written somewhere, or perhaps the incantation of the most powerful spell, scrawled in a small corner of a miniature book – it was a heaven.
As expected, Dorcas was seated at a small desk for two, with her side filled with open texts and spare parchment spilling over the side. With an excited smirk, Remus made his way and pulled a chair up. She looked up in surprise and raised an eyebrow with a small smile.
"Oh, hello there Lupin! I was beginning to wonder if you'd forgotten," She said cheekily. Her lips were quite chapped and Remus wondered if one small lick would make them bleed. Flushing red at the thought, he cleared his throat.
"Ahh, but you are mistaken – I could never forget about such a lovely lady" He said, adopting a posh accent but ruining the affect with a wink. Dorcas rolled her eyes and pushed the piece of parchment towards him with a pout.
They both shared Arithmancy and Remus was quite proud to say he was top of the class. He spent a lot of time with Doe because she always did struggle with the subject. He wondered why she took it but whenever he asked, she'd mumble something incoherent and change the subject.
They worked on the essay for the better part of the two hours until it was pretty much to an Outstanding grade. In jubilance, Dorcas squealed with happiness and threw her arms around him. Remus cheered with her but for a slightly different reason.
Half running out of the library (after being chased my Madam Pince) the pair found themselves at the entrance hall where a large window overlooked the front gates and grounds.
Night was well and truly settling in in the colder weather and Doe stopped to admire the view.
"Oh, full moon must be close," she said casually. Remus stiffened, not sure how to reply.
He hesitantly nodded but didn't say anything. Dorcas waited for words but when Remus remained silent, she pushed him further.
"I suppose it'll be different without James for this one…" she trailed.
"What did you say?" He asked, thoroughly frightened now.
"Oh you know, full moon soon and James won't be there to keep you in line" she said, nudging her companion playfully. Remus recoiled from her touch, causing Doe to look up at him, trying to hide the hurt.
"You know then?"
"No shit. I spend half my nights awake."
"And ... and you still think I'm … okay?"
"What are you on about? So you aren't yourself for a night every month – you're still one of my best friends," Doe said with a laugh, as though it was a stupid question to begin with.
"And … can I trust you're discreet on the matter?"
"Of course. Although I don't think anyone else has worked out you're a werew –"
"Shhh!"
"Relax, Remus – no one's here. Anyway, I suppose it's quite the adventure with your marauders being animagi –"
Once again, Remus had cut her off, but instead of with a 'shh' he'd planted a kiss straight on her lips. She froze for a minute as all thought rushed out her head. Closing her eyes as her feeling came back to her, Doe smiled widely into his mouth before enthusiastically returning the kiss. How long had she been waiting for this? Perhaps Remus had been waiting a while too, because the urgency his lips conveyed was pulsating. It was probably well after curfew by then and there were no signs of teachers or prefects – excluding Remus himself of course.
Stumbling into the prefects bathroom where it was incredibly private with little chances of being disturbed, the couple clumsily fell against the swimming pool sized bath tub.
"I'm game if you are" Dorcas muttered – she felt like was already drugged up. There wasn't any stupid consciences telling her what not to say and what not to do.
Remus smiled "Who knew the mysterious Dorcas Meadows was so eager"
He lightly kissed her on the lips again, running his thumb over her rough lips – which if he were being honest – he really did not mind snogging.
"So you smoke …" he said while simultaneously undressing her – placing soft kisses on newly exposed skin.
Dorcas hummed softly and reached into her jacket's pocket and pulled out a spliff, lighting it with her wand. Remus raised his eyebrows and Dorcas kicked the taps on. Grinning giddily, complete with little dimples she pushed Remus into the water and climbed on top. He took the smoke and inhaled deeply. He'd done it before with Sirius but never liked it much. Now however, it was egging him on.
He pulled Dorcas' already wet and naked body out of the water and placed hickeys all down her body. Before long, their bodies were colliding and smoke filled the room with colourful bubbles and lights until two loud and anticipated outburst ended their perfect night.
