Chapter X

-221B Baker Street (Two Weeks Later)-

The past weeks with Sakura have been interesting for Sherlock and John. The consulter was learning more and more about the child, about how her mind works. Two days ago she was able to match all of the colors from the Rubix Cube under a minute, like how Sherlock solved it when he was a child. One week ago she was able to solve a puzzle that only Sherlock could solve. And that's saying something!

Sherlock entered the flat stepping on one of her landscape drawings. He removed his foot and picked up the picture. The picture was of a beautiful sunset with grassy plains, mountains that went through the clouds, and all kinds of animals either running through the field, or eating the grass. "She drew another one?" he asked his flatmate John, who was by his laptop. "Yeah that's her fifth one today." He answered, "What is she doing now?" the detective asked him. John pointed to where she was. She was sitting in front of the television watching a Japanese show called, "Death Note" while drawing another landscaped picture.

S.H: "She's looking a lot better now."

J.W: "I'm surprised that most of her wounds healed this quick. Usually it would with wounds like that it would take weeks for it to heal."

S.H: "Very surprising indeed."

J.W: "She can already speak English with only a few weeks to learn it."

S.H: "It's because of that mind she has. To think I started doubting that everyone was all stupid."

J.W: "That's supposed to make me feel better?"

S.H: "No."

The two heard Sakura groan in pain. She dropped the pencil and held her wrist; Sherlock saw that her arm was shaking. "I thought you said all of her wounds healed?" he said to the doctor, "I didn't say that I said most of them." John said. Sherlock walked over to the child, picked up the picture and placed it on the shelf. "If your wounds are still hurting, than you should take it easy." He said to her, "I'm fine, it's only a sore." She said to him while rubbing her wrist.

S.H: "No you're not fine."

S.K: "I am fine."

S.H: "Your lying to me."

S.K: "I'm not lying."

S.H: "Oh but you are. I can tell."

S.K: "How?"

S.H: "I just can."

Sherlock helped her up off the floor and sat her down on a nearby chair. The detective took a moment to look at the telly and saw the show that she was watching. He had actually found this a bit interesting; the main character is playing the role of the villain, versus a man who was a consulting detective, it is pure genius. That's when he saw that John had grabbed his jacket.

S.H: "Where are you off to?"

J.W: "Ran out of Antibiotics, going to get some more."

S.H: "What do we need those for?"

J.W: "For her of course! She only needs them for a few more days of it."

S.H: "So what's the point of taking it?"

J.W: "Medical Reasons. Now if you'll excuse me."

John walked out of the flat. Sherlock turned to the child who was now having a look around the flat. She went into the kitchen and Sherlock followed her inside. She looked in all the test tubes wondering what kind of liquids was inside. She was about to pick up a tube from the table. "You can look but don't touch." He said making her jump. "What is this?" she asked.

S.H: "It's a little experiment I have been working on."

S.K: "What kind of experiment?"

S.H: "Can't say. It's a secret."

S.K: "Do you always work on experiments like this?"

S.H: "Different kinds, why?"

S.K: "Shadow, would sometimes do this in his spare time."

S.H: "He does?"

S.K: "Yes. Not only that, he is study the human body. He wants to be a doctor, like Mr. Watson

S.H: "For what reason?"

S.K: "To help me."

S.H: "With what?"

S.K: "He didn't say."

S.H: "...What can you tell me about him?"

S.K: "Not much, really. He's actually like you, Mr. Holmes."

S.H: "Is that right?"

S.K: "Yeah, just a the opposite though."

S.H: "How so?"

S.K: "He doesn't consider some things dull like you do, he considers life an adventure."

S.H: "And he's smart."

S.K: "Yes, like you Mr. Holmes."

S.H: "Please, call me Sherlock. Oh before I forget, I have something that belongs to you."

Sherlock walked over by his microscope and picked up a white box. He gave it to Sakura who was wondering what it was. "You can open it." He said to her with a smile. Sakura opened the box, and she let out a gasp when she saw what it was. It was her golden heart locket. Sakura lost her words, and she looked at Sherlock with surprised look on her face, like it was the present she always wanted. "I hope you don't mind but I replaced that little string of yours with a chain. That way you won't have to worry about losing it." He said to her.

S.K: "Where did you find this?"

S.H: "The same place I found you. You dropped it when you were on the run. If it hadn't been for your locket, you would've been up in the sky."

S.K: "I thought I lost this forever."

S.H: "It's more than just a locket."

S.K: "It's a gift from my parents when I was three."

S.H: "You have taken care of it for so long."

S.K: "My mom said that no matter where I am, they'd always find me. Now, it's my turn to find them, I know I'll see them again."

S.H: "How do you know that?"

S.K: "My parents were with me. They were with me in the scrapyard."

Sherlock gave a confused look on his face. Sakura tilted her head, not knowing why he would give her that look. "Can you repeat that?" he asked her. She gave him a 'Huh' look. "What you just said. Your exact words." He said. "My parents were with me, in the scrapyards." The detective was honestly shocked. Was this girl clueless? How can she her parents be with her, if they are already dead?

Korra entered the room with her Akita Naga, finding Alice by her laptop. "Any luck?" she asked still on her laptop. "No, Naga can't pick up his scent. The trails gone cold." Korra said to her letting dog off leash, "Einstein can't find him either. What about you? Did Sherlock find him?"

A.L: "I texted him about an hour ago."

K.S: "He didn't reply back did he?"

A.L: "It just proves that he hasn't found anything either."

K.S: "Even the consulting detective is having trouble. So what do we now?

A.L: "I was hoping it wouldn't have to come to this, but it looks like we are out of options."

K.S: "What do you mean?"

A.L: "I mean I am going to call a friend of mind."

K.S: "Wait, when you say friend you don't... your going to call HIM?"

A.L: "Yes, I need an expert to help us out with this."

K.S: "But Alice, he leaves all the way in America! What makes you think that he and his team will come?"

A.L: "Because he too has been looking into this for a long time. You know that Korra. Plus with his help we'll have better luck at finding Shadow, and stop the death of the last family member."

K.S: "Yeah, I know. April is going to be here in a few months but are sure that it's necessary?"

A.L: "It is Korra. Go tell the others about our visitor."

K.S: "Alright boss."

Korra went into the kitchen leaving Alice in her chair, with her phone to her ear. Within moments she heard a click sound on the other line.

"It's been a while Gibbs." She said with a smile, "I have a favor to ask you."
