Chapter 2
As the sun shined on the land brightening the world a cerulean hedgehog and lilac cat were walking down a path.
They were going to visit one of there best friends Raze.
As they got to his house they knocked on the front door.
After a few seconds the door slammed open.
"What the hell do you want!?" A black cat screamed
Recoiling slightly from the sudden outburst Blaze was the first to speak.
"Uh we were just coming over to ask if Raze wan..." She got out before
"Don't talk about that piece of **** around me!" Rika screamed
Recoiling from the outburst Sonic responded
"Uh did something happen between the two of you"
"Get the hell out!" Rika screamed before slamming the door shut
"What the heck was that about" Sonic asked
"I think they got in a fight Sonic" Blaze responded
"Well we better go find Raze"
"Yeah" Blaze answered
"I'll take the east side of town while take the right side of town and we'll meet in the middle"
"Okay but first" Blaze said before kissing Sonic
Sonic kissed back until she broke the kiss
"What was that for"
"For good luck" Blaze said with a wink before taking off
"Where is he" Blaze asked herself
She had just reached Sonic at the center of town
"Did you find him?" Sonic asked
"No..." Blaze responded
"Dang where is he"
"Well lets think where have we not looked yet"
"Huh well... lets see... there's... uh..." Sonic pondered
"Well" Blaze thought till it hit her "What about that tree house he made for Flare?"
"Oh yeah! He hangs out around there a lot doesn't he"
"Yeah lets go look" Blaze said before taking off with Sonic right beside her
As they ran through the forest they saw the tree house. It was a normal tree house made of oak wood with a wood ladder leading up to the entrance.
"Do you think he's in there Blaze?" Sonic asked
"I don't know" Blaze answered
Sonic began to climb ladder with Blaze right behind him
As they reached the top they came to the entrance. A small wooden door on the front of the tree house.
When they opened the door though they came upon a sight they never thought they would ever see.
Raze the hedgehog was sitting in the corner of the tree house. Tears running down bloodshot eyes.
Shocked at the sight Sonic and Blaze slowly began to approach him.
"Raze..." Sonic began before he was quickly interrupted
"Please just leave me alone" Raze slowly spoke
"Raze were here to make sure everything's okay" Blaze spoke comfortingly
He took a deep breath before saying
"No... She... She hates me!" Raze yelled as more tears slowly began to leak from his eyes
He suddenly felt two warm bodies suddenly embrace him helping calm down his pounding heart
"Raze everything's going to be okay" Sonic spoke caringly
"But... she hates me" Raze slowly spoke holding in his tears
"Raze you guys just got into a fight... I'm sure she doesn't hate you" Blaze responded just as caringly
As his breathing slowed he began to calm down
"It's okay guys... I'll make it"
"Are you sure" Sonic asked as he and Blaze released their embrace from him
"...Yeah... I just needed some... help" Raze spoke slowly
Not knowing what to say there was a awkward silence
"I think I just need sometime alone..." Raze said breaking the silence
"Lets give him some space Sonic"
"Yeah... and Raze... you can always come to us for help"
"I know" Raze said with the smallest hint of a smile
"Okay then... Bye" Blaze said before her and Sonic left leaving Raze in silent solitude
It wasn't long after they left that Raze heard another sound. It was coming straight towards the tree house. He could hear the light sound of someone climbing the ladder up to him. The door was quickly thrown open by a joy filled blue and purple hedgecat
"Oh hey Uncle Raze!" She said with enthusiasm as she noticed him
"Hey Flare..."
"Whats wrong Uncle Raze?" She said noticing his melancholy voice
"It's nothing Flare"
"But Uncle Raze your eyes are all red... have you been crying"
"Don't worry Flare... Rika and I just got in a fight"
"What happened Uncle Raze?" She said quickly hugging him
"She just got mad at me"
"Why did she get mad at you?"
"I don't know... she said she hates me..." Raze said before his eyes started to moisten from the coming tears.
"It'll be okay Uncle Raze"
"But what do I do" He said as he fought to hold in the tears
"Just tell her your sorry and apologize. If she loves you then she'll forgive you"
"You know for a kid you sure are smart" Raze said turning to her with a smile covering his tear stained face
"Don't worry Raze everything will be alright"
"Yeah..."
After a brief moment of silence Raze spoke
"Could I have some time to myself please Flare?"
"Sure Uncle Raze" She said before exiting the door and leaving
He sat there in silence for a few minutes before he began to talk to himself
"Should I try to talk to her?... What if she just gets angrier with me?... What do I do?...
"... I need to tell her I'm sorry... I don't know what I did but Flare is right... If I apologize she will forgive me..." He said pushing himself off the floor and going to the exit
After jumping down from the tree house he took off running as fast as he could towards Rika's house
He ran straight to the front door ready to tell her how he felt when he noticed
"The lights are all off... She's not here... Where is she I have to tell her I'm sorry" he said to himself before taking off into town
"She likes to hang around here a lot so maybe she's here" He thought to himself as he wandered outside the nearby clubs
"Where is she" he thought as he felt something wet fall on his face
He quickly looked up
"It looks like its starting to sprinkle... I need to find her before it starts to rain"
Raze was covering his face from the down pouring rain
"Where is she!" he yelled at himself in his head "It's getting so dark it's getting hard to see"
"Where is..." he trailed off and his arms fell to his sides. He didn't even try to hold in his tears he just let them flow at the sight before him
A flash of lightning revealed Rika... The person he cared for more than himself... Kissing a gray hedgehog right outside a nearby coffee shop...
He saw her running her hands down his chest, and him groping her...
The tears just continued to flow as he fell to his knees broken
"S-She's ch-cheating on me... W-What did I do wr-wrong... Why is this happening to me... Why..." he thought to himself as he closed his tear filled ice blue eyes in an attempt to control himself
"... Why did she cheat on me with him... him... That gray hedgehog... Why is she kissing him... He's kissing her..." Raze thought as his body began to shake
"He's kissing her... my girlfriend... Rika... He's kissing Rika!" Raze opened his eyes
"This is great!" Silver thought to himself "This girl is hot and want's to sleep with me. Could this get any better"
"This is going to be amazing. I haven't slept with a guy in weeks" Rika thought to herself
"You want to take this to the hotel" Rika said in a sultry voice
"Yeah and I'm gonna **** you so ha" her got out before something suddenly shoved Rika to the ground and slammed him into the wall by the throat choking him.
As his vision began to clear up he gasped at the blood red eyes staring right into his eyes
"You stay away from my girlfriend or I will rip you insides out you worthless trash!" Raze spat in Silver's face
Silver gagged as he tried to speak. To say anything to his assailant
"If you get anywhere near her again you will die do you understand!"
Raze's hand though began to loosen its grip on Silver's throat. Looking down he saw his hand was covered in a green aura
"Come on just a little more" Silver frantically thought as he used his telekinesis to loosen the grip on his throat
"Just a little more... What the hell!" Silver thought as he saw darkness begin to flow over his assailants arm and his powers grip weakened
"Get the hell away from her or I will kill you!" Raze hissed "Do you understa! Raze shouted before he felt a sudden pain shoot up his leg causing his grip to tighten.
Rika shook her head to help clear it after hitting the ground
"Hey what the hell do you think your doi...!" She got out before seeing Silver being choked out by some black furred creature.
She froze her voice caught in her throat as she thought what to do. Quickly looking around she saw her pocket knife lying on the ground.
She quickly opened it and stabbed the assailant in the leg which caused his grip to tighten which was followed by a loud snap.
The creature slowly released his grip causing Silver's body to collapse on the ground.
Rika quickly rushed over to him
"Silver are you okay! Silver!" She shouted viciously shaking him
Raze slowly reached behind him going to where the source of the pain was pulling the knife out of his leg bringing it to where he could see it
"Silver! Get up!" She shouted before quickly backing up once she saw Silvers assailant holding a knife
Slowly looking over the knife Raze saw a inscription on the knife reading "To protect you when I can't"
Raze just stared as the memories came back
"Flashback"
"Here Rika" Raze said as he handed Rika a small pocketknife
"Raze this is the worst anniversary present ever" She quickly spoke
"Read the inscription"
Rika turned the knife around in her hand until she found the writing
"To protect you when I can't... What the hell is that supposed to mean" She spat as she continued to glare at him
"Rika I won't always be there to protect you. No matter how hard I try" he paused trying to think of the right words. "Rika No matter how hard I try I can't protect you from everything so if I'm not there you still have this knife to protect yourself" Raze slowly spoke
Rika continued to glare before she slowly walked up to him
"Its still the worst present ever. Are you sure there's nothing else you could do for me" She spoke in a sultry voice
"Rika I didn't get you anything else... I'm sorry"
Rika shook her head at his ignorance to what she meant
"Whatever" She thought as she rolled her eyes before walking up to him
"Thanks for the gift Raze"
"Thank you Rika"
Rika suddenly yawned before sexily stating "I'm going to go lay down. Your welcome to join Raze"
"It's okay I'll go"
"End of flashback"
He slowly turned until he was staring at Rika
Her breathing increased as the creature turned to her, oxygen leaving her lungs in quick gasps as one thought blasted through her mind
"It's going to kill me! I'm going to die!"
The boom of the lightning only scared her more, but as it lit up her surroundings for a brief second she got a glimpse of his face causing a quick thought to run through her mind.
"Wait... was... was that..."
"Raze?" She slowly asked while continuing to back away from him
The patter of the rain on the ground, and the boom of the lightning slowly faded away for Raze as he watched her slowly back away from him, fear evident in her eyes.
The silence though was quickly shattered though from blaring lights, and sound from a siren as a police car swiftly approached
Raze slowly turned his head towards the police car, before quickly looking back at Rika.
In a split second he took off running. Dropping the blade which was quickly lost as the downpour carried it away down a nearby drain.
The car quickly stopping as two foxes exited it one running to Rika as the other ran to Silvers body.
"Mam what happened here! Did you see who did this!" he quickly shouted
She immediately turned to the officer taking a few quick breaths before answering
"It was Raze the Hedgecat! He tried to kill me!"
….. I'm sorry it took so long for me to get this part out... It has been a struggle to write anything... I've been working on this for months getting out maybe a hundred words whenever I got inspiration before it was jut gone... I have no excuse... I just hope that this chapter is good... It was going to be longer but I decided to go ahead and post this because it seemed like a good stopping point... I'm truly sorry for taking this long... Please tell me what you think of it in a review...
Now... I have to say one more thing... Something I truly mean with all of my life and being...
