Percy woke up, only to find himself at the bottom of a freezing cold ocean, or at least he thought it was cold he could never really tell. Now, what really freaked person out was that he had fainted, or at least he thought he had, in the ocean, especially considering that he had thought that impossible. All at once it came back to him, he remembered! Percy looked over at Avery, who he just noticed had been sitting next to him, and smiled. "Guess who remembers." "Umm Nico." "Nope," Percy couldn't resist popping the p, "It's me, guess what I remember." "The Alamo." Percy pouted, "You're not even trying, but no worries I remember my memories." "No really... Now what's with this attitude, and no worries? You sound like a stoner dude." Percy laughed and laughed. However, Percy soon stopped laughing, "You were thinking about Nico, weren't you?" Percy most definitely looked like a fish out of water after that one, "What the…How did you… Huh?" "Now come on brother, you are completely transparent to anyone who knows you well, unless of course we are counting the object of your desires." "So that means the only people who can read me are you and mom." "Yup, come to think about it you could have it worse." "How so?" "Well your girlfriend could be able to read you, and then she would know that you're gay and that you hate her." "I suppose you're right." With that the two lapsed into silence.
"Well I should probably get back up there, after all we can slow time down but we cannot stop it." "I'll come with you, it's boring being here by myself." Percy gave Avery a disbelieving look, clearly thinking that she was crazy, obviously asking himself why she would let Hazel and Zhang see her (Percy liked Hazel she was a wild card and a firecracker, and Zhang well Chinese Canadian baby-man child pretty much sums it up). "Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you! I discovered this whole water invisibility thing… It's awesome!" "What does it?" At that moment in time, if there was ever a skeptic it was Percy. "It basically masks me; I kind turn into some form of water vapor. How else do you think I've been following you around of this little Roman quest of your?" "Makes sense well lets go."
Both Percy and Avery used their considerable control over water to propel themselves out of the water. Percy emerged all heroic like, while Avery came out as water vapor. Percy rushed forward and proceed to save Zhang (Hazel was holding her own against the giant). Avery nearly broke down laughing at the glares Percy was giving Zhang after he managed to turn himself into a cockroach. Once the giant had finally fallen Avery moved herself to Percy's side, and made it to where he would be able to hear her talk, when she got her first good look of Hazel. "Holly Hades, she's freaking hot!"
Avery could feel her water vapor self turning red. It was bad enough that she had thought that let alone said it. But, what was even worse was that apparently Percy could actually hear he water vapor self. 'Damn godly powered brother they always find out everything, even when they're not supposed to.' Avery knew she would be facing some horrible comments from Percy (and most likely Nico as well) about Hazel, however, she knew that all she had to do to make them shut was to bring up their own relationship status. Honestly, she know Percy likes Nico, and she can tell that Nico likes Percy... Now if only she can devise a plan to get them to admit this to each other.
The only problem could be that Nico had seen Percy at the Roman camp and hadn't said anything. But, that is easily fixed considering that if Percy had found out before he could've died... So as far as Avery could see she's good to start forcing Percy and Nico's relationship.
However, she knew that if tried to force a relationship between her twin and her best friend things wouldn't go well for her. She knew that Percy would immediately try and force things between her and Hazel, which would be really bad considering that she hasn't even been introduced to Hazel that might be a problem. 'Well,' thought Avery to herself, 'It might be time to bring Nico (and maybe even Hazel) in on their Olympus domination plans.'
