Author's Note: Sorry for not updating in so long, I lost my motivation to write after my Glee story was such a blow. Anyways, I'm going to scratch that and make a whole new, better story. This chapter is not going to be long, but it's better than nothing and shows that I want to finish this story for you guys! Also, does anyone have any ideas for a Faberry story? I don't think my old one can be redeemed :(

CHAPTER TEN

Beca was sitting in the studio at the record label, tweaking some new music she came up with for Izzy. It had been a week since Jesse met up with Chloe and both girls are still at a lost about what to do. Beca was just about to lock up and head out, when Izzy collided into her through the doorway.

"Woah, Iz," Beca said catching Izzy by her arms. She noticed the younger girl's disoriented appearance and stepped back to get a better look at the girl.

"Sorry Becs," Izzy said while wiping at her eyes that were pouring with streaks of eyeliner.

"Hey, what's wrong?"

"Oh, uh, my mom called and—my brother…"

"Oh my God, what's wrong with Jesse?" Beca asked, widening her eyes, full of concern.

Izzy just wordlessly stared at the brunette in front of her. "How do you know my brother's name? I don't remember mentioning that. And why are you concerned like you know him?"

"Iz—" the younger girl in front of her quickly cut off Beca.

"Beca, what do you know?" Izzy said, crossing her arms.

"Wait, just tell me, is Jesse okay?" Although she didn't fully forgive him yet, Jesse was still the father of Emma and very important to her stepdaughter.

"He's in town and I-I just wasn't ready to see him after all these years… now tell me, how do you know Jess?"

"Uh… you might want to sit down for this one…" Beca said while rubbing the back of her neck and sitting on the couch, preparing herself to tell her story from college on. "It all started when I joined the Barden Bellas…" Izzy just stared at Beca with a furrowed brow, not understanding what the strange group had to do with her brother.

An hour or so later…

"Wow." That's all Izzy could say after hearing the whole dramatic saga.

"That's it?" Beca expected Izzy to have more questions about the whole situation.

"No, no it's just—it's a lot to take in right now." Izzy dropped her head in her hands trying to soak everything in. "So, my mother and father have lied to me for years… And I have a niece." A smile grew on Izzy's face, "that's pretty cool, you know? Emma and I being related."

"She really is a great kid and already looks up to you," Beca said with a smile placing a hand on Izzy's knee. "Have you figured out what you're going to do about your mom and dad?"

"I honestly want nothing to do with either of them. I'm going to wait till I'm less pissed till I say something. I just can't believe they would lie to keep me away from my brother and for what?"

And in the moment, something Jesse mentioned to her came back into her memories. "W-Wait, okay I left something out, but I have a question first." Izzy gestured towards Beca to continue, "Do your parents know you like girls?"

Izzy noticeably tensed at the question. "My parents aren't exactly… accepting of homosexuality. So, to answer you question, no. They think I'm straight as a board who hasn't found the one yet. Why do you ask?"

"Your parents lied to you about Jesse, because they disowned him because he came out as gay."

Izzy's jaw hit the ground. She couldn't believe her brother's sexuality kept them apart for so many years.

"I think I need to go home and think some things through. I'll call you later, okay?"

"Iz, wait—"

"Bye, Becs."

Izzy walked out of the studio and Beca just flopped on the couch while huffing out a breath she's been holding since Izzy walked through the door.

"So momma, does this mean I can call Izzy Aunt Izzy now?" Emma said with her mouth full of food.

The Mitchell-Beale clan was finishing up dinner after Beca explained to them what happened at the studio earlier that day.

"I don't know, yet. And don't talk with your mouth full." Beca chastised from across from her.

Emma made a point to show she was swallowing her food with exaggeration, "Sorry."

"Beca, don't stress too much over this, okay? Izzy said she'd call so when she feels she's ready she will. This is her family; her own mother and father have been lying for years, just give it some time." Chloe said while rubbing her wife's arm soothingly.

A/N2: Please let me know if anyone is still interested. If not, I will not continue this story if no one is going to read it. Thanks :)
