LAST TIME:
Percy and the gang sat around a fire, waiting for Chaos to arrive, like Ridden Percy and his friends had been attack by overly large monsters, they had been sent here. To some island somewhere in the middle of nowhere, Chaos had said that the monsters that had attacked were called second generation monsters and that the group had to power up if we wanted a chance to be able to defeat them.
Present Time.
Clare POV.
A blinding flash appeared behind me, my hand went straight to the bow slung across my back, before i spun around and aimed at the site of the flash. Suddenly my bow went up into flames, i yelped and dropped it before it could burn me. ''Sorry child but i don't like weapons pointed at me'' said deep and mysterious voice.
''Chaos, forgive me'' I said as i recognised the figure.
'' Already have'','' Now as you all know why you're here am going to tell you a little more about why you're here, you see after you defeated my daughter Gaia monsters became wild and out of control, their anger triggered their bodies to evolve, hence why they are called second generation monsters. They are more powerful than there pre-evolved selves as am sure you have seen. It wouldn't normally be a problem but some more of my children have risen from their slumber. I have chosen your group here to become the Guardians, i tell you more later but for now sleep and rest'' with that Chaos clicked his fingers and instantly felt myself falling asleep.
Olympus.
Artemis had just finished telling her story of how she had killed the Gryphon, of how the arrow was actually dipped in the river Styx and made of celestial bronze. The whole throne room was silent as they took this in.
'' Now that's out the way we can focus on the monsters that seem to be growing in size and skill'' said Poseidon
''Yes and i have also felt something stirring in the depths of tartarus, it could be Nyx breaking out'' Hades said.
'The throne room went deathly quiet as the gods absorbed this piece of information, ''if it is then we are in serious trouble as we don't have Percy, Annabeth and leo'' said Hermes
'' Add thalia to that list'' squeaked Artemis.
''What do you mean by that'' said the king of the Gods, Zeus.
''She ran away after she found out that we were chasing Percy'' Said Artemis,the moment she said this a massive bolt shook the throne room as Zeus's face started to go red.
Thaila POV
The moment i found out that Percy was being chasing, i quit the hunters, I had told Artemis this and surprisingly she had accepted this and allowed me to quit, right now i was making my way to Camp- Half- Blood. When someone came up to me and tapped my forehead, almost immediately i fell asleep.
Percy Pov
When Chaos had left us a note that said'' Before you start training you need the permission of the locals'' We had been pretty confused, after a while Annabeth had said '' Well lets go searching for these 'Locals', its better than just waiting here. We had then split up. Me and Annabeth, Leo and Calypso. Ridden and Blackjack and Clare with Alex. The moment we had started to move out, i had grabbed Annabeth's waist, spread my wings out and taken off into the morning sky. Annabeth's squeals of joy in my ears. ''Percy'', she said''Wouldn't Zeus be able to sense you flying around in his Domain?.
''If he can he isn't doing anything'' i replied.
''Well be caref-'' She didn't get to finish what she was saying because i had dived straight down,Why? Because a shell load of arrows had been fired at me. I leveled out just before i hit the ground, holding on tightly to Annabeth who was looking around, trying to figure out where that arrow came from. Meanwhile i was still weaving in and out of trees.'' Percy over there'' said Annabeth whilst pointing west of my position, i spread my wings and flapped them up and down hard as i gained some height. I spun around and wished i hadn't. Standing on the ground below us were 10 warriors all holding longbows. They aimed not at me but Annabeth and fired, i couldn't avoid them all.
In that moment i felt a hot pulsing feeling rushing through me, it rushed through me,, it felt as if i would burst if i didn't let it out. With a scream i flapped my purple wings and was amazed as a purple kind of energy raced from them before hitting the arrows and ripping them to shreds. i saw a series of flashes before Ridden, Alex and Leo rushed out into the clearing and began attacking the warriors. i spotted Clare lying on the floor unconscious with Calypso over her and blackjack guarding them '' put me down over their'' said Annabeth.
I rushed down and flared my wings, summoning my armor onto me in a Blue flash, almost immediately my speed increased. I dropped Annabeth off before rushing out and engaging the Warriors in battle.
