Days past and Kitty was growing closer to Connor every time they spent time together. Batman was tracking down Kitty's Father and make sure he broke one or two bones when he got him. Artemis and Meg'an were teaching Kitty how to speak normally again. Robin was teaching her basic math. Wally was teaching her basic science. Kaldur was teaching her about fish and took her for swimming lessons when he could. Connor didn't really know what to teach her. He only knew most things because everyone helped him. So all he could do was stay with her and make sure she was protected.

Right now Kitty was with Mae'an, trying to bake a large chocolate cake together. So far all they could do was make a mess and for Kitty to be covered in flour. Meg'an and Kitty just began to laugh as Connor came around the corner to get grab a drink.

"Why are you covered in flour?" Connor asks and Kitty runs over to him and covers him in flour by giving him a hug. Connor removes her from him and looks down at his shirt.

"Now you are covered in flour." Kitty says and laughs with Meg'an. Connor groans and walks out to go change his shirt.

"He likes you." Meg'an suddenly says and makes Kitty turn to face her with a pouty face and head tilted to the side.

"Who?" She asks and Meg'an laughs softly.

"Connor, he really likes you. I can feel his emotion towards you and also I can just read his mind." She replies and Kitty beams with joy.

"Master likes me!" She squeals and runs out of the kitchen to go find Connor. When she does find him, he was in his room about to put his new shirt on when Kitty went and jumped on his back.

"Whoa, what's gotten into you?" Connor asks as he makes Kitty come in front of him. She had a smile on her face and looked at her Master before pressing her lips to his like she had once before. After when they first kissed Connor never tried to kiss her again, so Kitty never tried until now. Connor was stunned again before he pulled her away from him and she was still smiling.

"There you are." Robin's voice makes them both look over at him as they jump apart.

"Sorry, didn't know you were doing something. But he big old Bats himself wants Kitty to go meet him. Says something about getting her put back to normal." He continues and then leaves. Connor knew what he meant by 'put back to normal'. It meant that J'onn was going to fix her mind and restore her memories. Put back to normal. She would have to remember everything that has ever happened to her. She may already remember something's but she doesn't remember everything. He didn't want that for her. He wouldn't let it happen.
Kitty ran through the cave to Batman and Connor was with her when she stopped.

"You're not going to touch her." Connor told him and he shot one of his glares at him.

"She needs to remember who she is." He says and then J'onn came up behind him.

"Are you ready?" He asks Kitty and she tilts her head before looking at Connor

"What is going to happen?" She asks Connor as she steps up to him. Connor looked at her and then at J'onn.

"Don't hurt her." He says and then Kitty began to worry.

"What are they going to do to me? Master please don't let them hurt me!" She began to cry as she clung onto Connor. He took her face into his hands and made her look him in the eyes.

"No one will ever hurt you again. I won't let them. Their going to help you, just like everyone else was. I'm going to be right with you, don't worry." He promised her and then held her close.

By the time they were done Kitty had remembered who she was and everything in her past. She looked up at Connor before collapsing in his arms in a crying fit. He held her close as her tears stained his shirt. He never wanted this much pain for her to have to bare with. He hated the fact that she was like this.

"It's okay. Your safe. No one is going to hurt you now. I'll protect you."
