Chapter 3: A Fated Duel: Yusei vs. Vanity
Yusei stared at Vanity as many different types of emotions were running through him, shock, disbelief, as well as slight intimidation; he could not find any words that would describe this situation right now. Standing in front of him was Vanity, the real criminal that GUN was really after, and the cause of all his problems. Even though this now proved he's innocent, Yusei fully started to understand as to why GUN would mistake him for Vanity; they looked…so much like one another. The only differences were that Vanity had blue highlights and his hair was smooth looking while Yusei's highlights were gold and had spiky hair. While Yusei stared at Vanity, the said person maintained a neutral gaze towards Yusei though craning an eyebrow in curiosity. When he escaped the cops he didn't expect to find anyone in this stadium dome this late at night; and he surely didn't expect that said person to look so similar to him. But that wasn't what made him so curious; what made him curious was that person's presence, the man seemed…different than from all the other humans he's encountered.
A gust of wind blew past the two men before Yusei spoke up "Well it seems clear as to why the military is after me so badly." He started walking towards Vanity "GUN seems to mistaken me for the likes of you, given our close similar appearance I could understand how they would make that mistake. But now that you're here I can turn you in and prove my innocence; so…what do you have to say for all your actions?"
Vanity remained silence looking at Yusei with an un-amused like expression. The satellite man gritted his teeth in frustration as his anger slowly started to rise "You're not going to say anything?" Yusei demanded, earning no response
He jumped up towards the top of pole where Vanity was shocking the teen "ANSWER ME"
Vanity was thoroughly surprised to see the spiky haired man jump up to about 50 feet in the air to his level and even more shocked to see a kick being sent his way. But even though he was surprised by it…he wasn't worried. Yusei was shocked to see that the kick he sent to Vanity only connected with air, he landed on the pole Vanity was just standing on and looked around
"Where did he-"
"Hm, this is interesting"
Yusei head snapped towards the stands to see Vanity sitting down comfortably with his feet propped up as if he was sitting casually at home "You possess some superhuman traits that are almost similar if not equal to my own."
The satellite teen didn't say anything but just dropped down to the ground and glared at the enigmatic teen 'He's fast…I-I didn't even see him move.'
"There's seems to be more to you than you appear to be letting on." Vanity stood up "Let's see the full extent of your capabilities."
Vanity disappeared and reappeared in front of Yusei shocking the raven haired teen; Yusei felt the air rush out of his lungs as Vanity dug his fist deep into his stomach. Yusei flew across the stadium and slammed into the wall causing a deep crater; he didn't have enough time to recover from the blow as Vanity charged towards him again. Forcing himself up Yusei did a summersault roll out of the way just before Vanity's fist collided with him, forcing the blue mark teen to punch the cratered wall fully destroying it. Yusei did a sweep kick on Vanity, catching his leg. Before he could hit the floor, Yusei grabbed Vanity's ankle and threw the teen towards the pole causing the sapphire marked boy to break the concrete and steel foundation in half. Vanity eyes snapped and did a summersault landing on one of the stand chairs; he lunged to towards Yusei making the gold marked teen lunged towards him as well. Vanity threw a right hook towards Yusei who caught it and attempted to knee Vanity in the stomach, making the blue marked teen block it with his left leg, Vanity then used his right leg and sent upward kick towards Yusei who forced to let go of Vanity to dodge it; taking advantage of the momentary gap Vanity spun around and sent a kick towards Yusei's abdomen making the teen fly away again, only this time Yusei recovered and did a backflip landing towards the ground. Yusei ran towards the blue marked teen at high speed and did a double kick in Vanity's chest sending him soaring; not giving him a chance to recover, Yusei grabbed both of Vanity's arms to prevent him from moving as he then proceed to stomp the blue highlighted teen square in his chest causing him to crash straight into the ground. Vanity grunted at the sharp pain in his chest as he felt the gold highlighted teen catapult himself off him and into the air, Vanity rolled to the side and jumped to the stands just as Yusei crashed his foot into the ground. Vanity drew deep breaths as he stared at Yusei, a smile on his face
"This guy is good" he breathed "Real good, let's see how he handles this though."
Vanity arms engulfed in his trademark blue and black fire surprising Yusei, he jumped into the air and pulled his arms back as two fireballs grew in his palm "SHINKAI: SHIRANUI"
Vanity threw the fireballs at high speed which transformed into two fire lances. Yusei wide eyed moved to dodge the first lance but then cried out in agonizing pain as the second embedded itself into his shoulder; the smell of burning flesh and copper filled Yusei's nose as the fire lance burn in his shoulder. Yusei wrapped his hands around the lance ignoring the searing pain, with a fierce tug he pulled the lance out and dispersed it then clutched the gaping hole in the his shoulder. Vanity smirked at the vulnerability Yusei was showing then putting his two index fingers in a cross he lit them up on fire and aimed it at Yusei's chest
"JUJIKA"
A cross shaped light appeared in the middle of Yusei's chest followed by a beam of fire that expanded by the time it hit Yusei. The cross fire crashed into Yusei making him reel back a few feet before dropping to his knees; the shirt had burnt to a crisp revealing Yusei toned but bruised and burned chest and stomach. Yusei got down to his hands, breath starting to become ragged and he glared weakly at Vanity who didn't even look spent in the slightest. As the satellite teen fell into the ground, Vanity jumped down to in front the downed teen; he had a satisfied smirk face, though it contrasted with the slight look of dissapointment on his face.
"I guess that's it then"
As Vanity stood in front of Yusei, he couldn't help but shake his head, not from dissapointment, but from amazing disbelief. This guy, not only did he put up a great fight, but he just never cease to amaze him the whole time. From the time he was reawakened, he had never expected to come into contact with someone who had the same abilities as him. It made it even more amazing that he could, more or less, hold his own against him; truly the world was a mysterious yet interesting place.
"Well, I guess that's enough excitement for one night." Vanity looked back down at Yusei with a grin on his face "I hope that the next time we meet, you'll put up more of a fight."
With nothing else, the living weapon turned and walked away, leaving Yusei's vision to go blurry before successfully blacking out

When Yusei had awakened, he found himself in a really odd place, instead of being inside of a slightly damaged stadium; he awoke to find himself in a pure white area. Everywhere he looked it just seemed to be endless.
"Where is this supposed to be?"
"Don't cry…"
"Huh?"
Yusei turned around to see two people in front of him, an orange haired mid-30s woman, and a young ravened-haired boy. Yusei watched as the woman was comforting the young boy, wrapping her arms around him as the kid cried into her chest
"Shh…it's okay, don't cry." The woman rubbed the boy's head affectionately "Everything's alright"
The boy looked up at her, tears still streaming "But…*Sniff* But"
"You have a lot of potential inside of you; you just need a little encouragement unleashing it." The lady stood up bringing the young boy up with her "Now go on, try it again. I'm with you every step of the way."
Yusei watched the boy give a weak yet hopeful smile and walk away from her and towards his direction. Whatever Yusei was about to say, had died in his throat in shock after hearing the following sentence.
"Know this, that no matter what, I'll always believe in you; my sweet little Yusei."

FWOOM
Vanity's eyes dilated at the sudden sound explosion, slowly turning around, he was shocked at the sight in front of him. There stood that guy who, not even a moment ago, was practically dead on the ground, now was back on his feet; looking completely revitalized, as well as the wound on his shoulder looking completely healed. But that's not what snag Vanity's attention, what caught was the torrent of flames surrounding Yusei; a sea of pure black and crimson red blaze around his whole body. Vanity's eyes widened unable to believe what was happening
"This…this isn't possible."
Yusei didn't know what was going on or how this was even possible; the moment he woke up from that strange dream he found himself lit on fire, the weird thing was that he wasn't screaming or panicking at the fact that he was covered in flames. As a matter of fact, the flames weren't even bothering him at all.
"I don't know who that lady was, or how any of this is even possible." He muttered, mainly to himself "But hopefully, I'll be able to end this in one blow."
Yusei managed to bring the flames under control, so instead of surrounding him, it coated his entire right hand and arm. Vanity watched in confusion as the flames that surrounded the guy died down, his confusion only grew as he saw the yellow marked teen had the flames surround his right arm. Why would he…
Sapphire blue eyes widened "No…no, that couldn't possibly be the…"
With shocked and feared realization, Vanity quickly snapped his fingers on his right hand summoning a burst of flames coating his entire right arm. If that move was what he thought it was he could not afford to hold back to at least defend himself.
Yusei gritted his teeth in irritation; apparently Vanity was able to figure out what his plan was. Still that didn't stop him; if he had any chance of clearing his name, he needed to bring down Vanity once and for all. Crouching slightly into a stance, Yusei gave a calming breathe to himself before dashing off towards his apparently clone. Vanity, seeing what Yusei was doing, mimicked him and ran at top speed as well. Both combatants cocked their fists back, readying themselves for the inevitable impact. Nothing else was heard other than the sounds of both fighters screaming out one of their most powerful attacks.
"HIKEN!"

-New Domino City- Izinski's Residence-
Within her room Akiza had been sleeping peacefully in her bed when she was brought out of her slumber by a loud explosion. The red head jumped up in her bed as she looked around "What the-"
*RUMBLE*
"WHOA"
Falling ungracefully off her bed, Akiza staggered her way to the window where far off in the distance she say a bright red and blue lights followed by a huge smoke cloud. As she looked closer, Akiza realized where the smoke was coming from.
'That's…that's the Kaiba Dome.' She thought 'What could be going on over there?'
-New Domino City- The Tops-
Laying in his bed fully awake, a young boy around the age of 12, who had teal green hair tied into a ponytail and gold-yellow eyes, he was currently wearing a light blue pajama shirt and pants; turning to face the window the boy let out a huge yawn signifying not only his tiredness, but also his complete and utter boredom: LEO
Today had been an exciting day, news had been announced during school saying that an international military force as appeared in New Domino in pursuit of a potentially dangerous criminal. Because of this school was closed until further; no one fully understood why the academy had to be closed down, other than chalking it up as potential hideout. But those who didn't mind a free vacation didn't bother question. The first thing the young adolescent had done when he got home was hit the hay, and now because of that, he's now finding himself unable to go to sleep and was now stuck in his room with nothing to do. Granted Leo could try and play some of his video games to pass the time and hopefully put him to sleep, but he could run the risk of waking his twin sister, and the last thing he needed was her chastising him about staying up late.
He loved his sister and all, but her maturity can be a bit annoying at times.
Unable to think of anything to do, Leo crawled out of bed and quietly made his way to kitchen; hey, if he was gonna stay up he may as well have something in his stomach. Leo was halfway down the hall nearing his sister's room until…
*RUMBLE*
"H-Hey, what's-"
"LEO!"
The young male widened his eyes as he ran to his sister's room, completely forgetting his hunger. Slamming open the door, he looked around until he set his sights on a huge shivering lump onto of her sister's bed
"LUNA!" Leo ran to his younger sister shivering state, he ripped the covers off earning a frightened yelp from the girl. Leo's twin sister, as implied, was practically the spitting image of him, the only difference was that Luna's hair were pulled into two pigtails.
Upon seeing her brother, Luna quickly latched her arms around her brother's waist, holding on tightly as if she was holding to life itself; no sounds could come out of her mouth except for the quiet sobs as tears flowed down her face. Leo saw the panicked state his sister was in and started to pet her in an attempt to calm her down, which in a way worked but not by much. If there was one thing Luna hated the most, it was tremors and earthquakes. This was due to traumatic incident when they were younger and had to sit through a level 6 earthquake by themselves, this was before they and their parents had moved to New Domino; what made that episode worse was that Luna was all alone in one part of the house while Leo was in another. That incident left the poor girl deathly afraid of earthquakes, especially if she was alone.
Leo was brought from his thoughts due to something tugging his pajama shirt; he looked down to see Luna, holding onto his sleeve, still shaking "Leo. . ." she whimpered "What…what was that?"
Leo's heart broke seeing his sis like this "I-I don't know" he then gave a reassuring smile "But I sure whatever it was, it's probably over now."
That seemed to calmed the pigtailed girl down even more, but just to give herself some more insurance for a good night's sleep "Stay with me for the night. . .please?"
Leo gave a warming smile "Sure"
-New Domino City- Outskirts near the beach-
As the night went on G.U.N troops could be seen throughout the city swarming the streets in pursuit of locating the fugitive Vanity. The G.U.N Commander could be seen inside of a mobile command unit watching the screen in front of him as all of his troops cover every inch of New Domino trying to find him. The Commander was a fairly 6 foot tall muscular man, he had silverfish-gray hair and had heterochromia eyes; one color was bright red and the other bright blue. He was wearing a high ranking military uniform which was dark gray that had red & blue stripes on the side of his pants; on his jacket, it was accessorized with various medals and badges to show all of his past achievements. A scowl was currently gracing his features as he ordered a subordinate to open a channel to a lone soldier, who looked caught off guard, no doubt due to his superior suddenly calling him.
"Anything to report" He demanded sternly
A soldier quickly composed himself before responding "Nothing yet sir, so far everything has been quiet and we've been unable to determine his location."
The commander glared "Well search harder, I want that abomination found as soon as possible!"
The soldier saluted "Yes Sir"
No sooner had the soldier cut off his transmission, the commander sunk back into his chair, massaging his splitting headache. Not that he would admit out loud, but this was starting to get tiresome; ever since Vanity had managed to escape from his imprisonment from the military base, it had been hell for the commander seeing as he was being put through a wild goose chase. Were it not for his superiors' orders, he wouldn't put himself through this stress; not that he minded though. Personally, he had his own reasons for accepting this task.
'No matter what, I'll rein you in and put you down like wild dog you are.' He mentally declared darkly
The commander was suddenly pulled out of his thoughts by the sounds of a huge explosion followed by a ground shaking earthquake. The force of the tremor was enough to make the commander and the other soldier in the center with fall to the ground. Quickly regaining his footing, the G.U.N Commander exited the vehicle and glared at the night sky, as if it caused the tremor itself.
"What in God's name was that?!"
"Sir"
The Commander turned to see a soldier grunt rushing to him "What it is soldier?"
The grunt saluted "Sir, we have confirmed Vanity's last sighted heading straight for a stadium called the Kaiba Dome. It is also believed that he may have been the cause of the explosion that had just occurred."
The Commander grinned almost sadistically "Have all personal head for that dome, surround all exits, and be ready to storm in."
"Yes sir" Was the soldier's response before running off
The Commander's grin grew wider 'Nowhere to run murderer, this time I have you now.'
End of Chapter
Whew, finally got this chapter done. Took me a while to get this chapter done being that I had to revise some parts over, the fight scene being one of them. Hope you guys are kind enough to tell me how I did on that, fights descriptions are not really my strong suit.
