A Little Less Than Two Weeks Later...12/24/2012 9:09 AM

Today is the day that Tori and I get to bring little Alexandra home from the hospital. Every day for the last two weeks, Tori and I spent roughly three hours a day at the hospital with our little Alexandra. In the two weeks since she was born, she's gained nearly a pound and a half, and her apnea has completely gone away.

"Tori?"

"Yeah baby?"

"Are you ready to go?"

"Ah...almost. Let me grab by coat, purse, wallet, cell phone, car seat, and the diaper bag, and then we can go, ok?"

"Ok." After Tori grabs everything she needs, the two of us exit our condo and head to the car.

A Few Minutes Later...9:39 AM

Tori and I walk hand in hand into the NICU. We make our way over to Alexandra's bed.

"Good morning Tori and Jade. Are you guys ready to take baby Alexandra home?" Nurse Maura asks Tori and I.

"Yes." Tori and I say in unison.

"I'll get her ready while you guys sign the release papers."

"Ok." Tori says. Dr. Anderson hands us me the release papers. Tori and I quickly sign the papers, and after Maura gets our little Alexandra ready, she hands Tori the car seat.

"Take care ladies. Bye baby Alexandra." Maura says.

"Have a good day ladies, and Merry Christmas." Dr. Anderson says to Tori and I.

"Merry Christmas." Tori and I say in unison.

"This is by far the best Christmas gift I have ever received." I say.

"I agree." Tori mumbles. After saying one last good bye to Maura and Dr. Anderson, Tori and I exit the NICU and start making our way out of the hospital. A few minutes later...we arrive at our car, and I open the back door and Tori sets baby Alexandra down on the backseat and buckles her in. She quickly gives me a kiss, walks to the other side of the car, opens the rear door, and climbs into the car. I climb into the drivers seat, and once we are all seat belted in, I start the car, throw it into reverse, and back out of the parking spot.

A Few Minutes Later...10:40 AM

On our way back home from the hospital, we stopped at Burger King, bought some breakfast, and now, we are eating our breakfast in the living room, on the couch. Wah! Wah! Wah! Tori sets down her breakfast bowl, turns towards the car seat, unbuckles baby Alexandra, and takes her out of the car seat. She lays her down on the couch, undoes the button on her onesie, and undoes the snaps on her diaper.

"Her diaper's clean. She's probably hungry. Can you grab me a bottle out of the fridge please?"

"Sure. I'll be back in a second." I get off of the couch, and make my way into the kitchen. I walk over to the fridge, open it, grab a bottle, close the fridge, exit the kitchen, and make my way back to the couch. Yesterday, Tori used a breastpump to collect milk from her breasts. She made five bottles.

"Here you go baby." I hand Tori the bottle, and after getting Alexandra settled in her arms, she places the nipple at Alexandra's lips. Alexandra opens her mouth and starts sucking on the nipple of the bottle. A tear escapes my right eye and I quickly wipe it away.

"Are you crying?"

"Yes." I mumble.

"Why are you crying baby? Are you ok?"

"I'm fine. I'm just happy is all."

"I'm happy too."

A.N. I hate to end it here; but I'm kind of stuck. Can you guys give me some ideas as to what I should do with this story. Should I end it soon, and continue it for a few more chapters? Thanks for the ideas. I look forward to reading the reviews.
