Once upon I had an idea, once upon a time it became this fic.

Saruhiko found himself in a heaven on earth, in the arms of the man he loved and holding his children in turn. There was nothing he regretted, all amends made and cracks filled in. His schizophrenia showed no signs of flaring up again, and he could only thank the man who cared for him so much. His children had stolen his heart, and held them dear to him like nothing else.

"Neh, Reisi?"

"Hmm?"

"Is it tomorrow yet? I miss them..."

"I know, I know..."

Yorokobi and Maria had been spirited away by their grandparents, Reisi's parent's of course, and wouldn't be back till the next morning. Reisi was on edge, letting his parents take his five month old twins to the zoo, but Saruhiko looked like he might burst into tears any second. And they had been gone for more than half a day. They both lounged on the couch, Reisi reading a book while Saruhiko stared into space with his head in his lover's lap.

Saruhiko was a stay home mom, and until the twins were old enough to go to school he would not return to his Scepter 4 duties. He found a love of cooking and taking care of his babies, and Reisi smile when he came home to a delicious smelling dinner and the laughter of his children made everything a thousand times better. He was so happy that he sometimes mistook reality for a dream, a wonderful dream he never wanted to wake up from.

Now, however, he was miserable and was sure his happy dream had turned into a nightmare.

"Can we at least call them?"

"Saruhiko they're fine, and my parents don't own cell phones, remember?"

"Hmm..."

Reisi sighed, hiding his amused smirk at his lover's pouty face. Setting his book on the arm of the couch he stroke his fingers through Saruhiko's satin locks, his lover letting out a purr only an Omega could accomplish. "Do you have anything you want to do to keep that worrying mind of your's occupied?" He had a puzzle in mind, a nice japanese stone garden that was over a thousand pieces that all looked the same.

Saruhiko ceased his purring, color rising to his cheeks, "Uhh...can we...uhh..." Saruhiko didn't have to finish his sentence for Reisi to understand what he was asking, and he felt his own face grow hot. The boy's body had long gone back to the way it had been before he was pregnant, Saruhiko was back on his suppressants, and on top of it all they were married. There was consent and they were very much in love on both sides so there was no problem.

Saruhiko looked up at him expectedly with a blush, and Reisi found himself unsure of whether he felt comfortable having sex with the boy. As if reading his mind, Saruhiko rolled his eyes and got off the couch, grabbing Reisi by the hand and dragging him to their room.

"C'mon Mister Stick-in-the-Mud, it's not that bad. I'm fine with it, I want this, and besides, I'm not in heat and I'm not afraid of you so let's just get with it!" Saruhiko chewed the inside of his cheek, puffing out the other cheek and narrowing his eyes. Reisi sighed, taking off his shirt, and Saruhiko clapped his hands in triumph and giggled.

Reisi shut him up but pushing him back on the bed, but of course this just caused him to giggle more. He made love to Saruhiko like it was the last night on Earth. Saruhiko moaned, crying out in ecstasy, and Reisi ate him like he was candy. Kissed away the tears of pleasure, and filled him with love inside and out.

Saruhiko snuggled up against Reisi's bare chest, their breaths evening out as they came down from their high. Reisi grinned and pressed a kiss to his lover's sweaty forehead. The air was heavy with pleasurable pheromones, none of them the awful clogging scents when Saruhiko had his heat.

"I love you more than anything, Saruhiko." Reisi whispered, and Saruhiko smiled brightly. Saruhiko was happier and felt like he was complete on all levels. If this was all a dream, then he never wanted to wake up from it. Reisi didn't know if he believed in fate, but he believed that meeting Saruhiko was meant to happen, that it was the best possible path his life could have taken.
