Chapter 18
One Day later at school Carly was very much on Cloud Nine, because of the wonderful date that she had with Freddie yesterday at her place. The web hostess was suddenly interrupted in her train of thought as Sam started to wave one hand in front her face and said: "Wake up Carls, we have to get to the next period." A little embarrassed at first, Carly blushed for a short instance and finally replied: "Sorry guys that I'm being so….absent with my thoughts today. Of course I will do my best to focus on school more for the rest of the day."
Hand in hand Carly and Freddie accompanied by Sam later then walked to the next period of the day with the evil Miss Brigs and the brunette was a little bit upset that she was so distracted today, but as she didn't want Freddie to know that she did her best to fool him just a little bit. During the next period they only concentrated on what Miss Briggs said, even if all three of them hated that woman since they first had a class with her but Freddie and Carly surely didn't want to get in any trouble.
Even Sam was really happy for her two friends finally getting together as a couple; she sometimes couldn't help to feel like a third wheel because of the fact that those two sometimes tended to act like totally love sick teenagers. After the class with Miss Briggs was finally over, Carly suddenly stopped in the middle of the aisle, pointing at the other end of it where Freddie's ex-girlfriend and Carly's evil ex-boyfriend where busy with making out in front of Pete's locker. Those two really make a perfect couple, both of them self-centered and manipulative. Carly thought and then the three friends quickly made their way past the newest couple at Ridgeway High School. "I would really have to puke if I had to watch those two kissing any longer." Sam finally said still a little bit disgusted from the site that she saw just a few minutes ago but at the same time she was now even happier, that Carly had got rid of that jerk.
"Yeah you're so right but let's forget about those two, we need to meet after school to discuss what we do on the next ICarly." The brunette web hostess said to change the subject quickly, because she clearly didn't want to be reminded of the fact that she and that jerk used to be together and she even had been so dumb enough to trust him more than her two best friends. Freddie even now sighed barely audible and said: "That's a very good idea Carls and I even have one or two ideas, which I want to discuss with you for the next episode of our show." Also very happy that his girlfriend had quickly changed the subject, because thinking about that self-centered ex-girlfriend still gave him the chills.
Carly and Freddie of course sat not very far from each other for the rest of the school day in the third row of the classroom, both doing their best not to get distracted so much by the others presence even if they couldn't withstand to shortly glance at each other when they felt unwatched. Carly of course was glad, that she now had a slightly better understanding of physics and smiled to herself as she able to get the whole working sheet that their physics teacher Mister Reynolds had given to them today on her own. A few minutes later, Carly even volunteered to present her solutions to the working sheet and because of that Mister Reynolds had a little surprised look on his face but then he said: "Okay Carly tell us what you have as a solution at the first exercise. " Then Carly went to the board to present her solution in front of the class and shortly after the teacher was done looking at it he said: "Very good Carly, I see that you've learned a little bit to improve yourself and that's a good thing."
"Thank you Mister Reynolds." Carly replied and as she went back to her place, Freddie couldn't help but say: "Good job Carls, I'm so proud of the fact that you improved yourself so quick in this sometimes so complicated class." Then the two high fived and they continued to speak about the solutions of the work sheet.
