"You will work for me for lodging and in my free time I shall investigate your," he pauses and glares at us, "predicament."
Alright that sounds fair.
"What kind of work? Like maid stuff?" Kato asks with a cute innocent face.
Ciel gives her a look that says dear-lord-I-have-hired-another-idiot, "Yes, maid stuff."
"Cool beans." Oh wow, the look he gives her could peel paint.
"Sebastien show them where they will be staying. Once they are settled, prepare the carriage, I have some things to take care of in town." After giving his orders Ciel turns back to the documents he was reading when we entered. A scowl slowly creeping onto his face the more he read. If the little twerp keeps making faces like that his face will get stuck, but ask me if I care. Turning, I follow Sebby and Kato out the door.
I start our march through the mansion fully determined to not get lost, but that determination was squashed after seven turns and three stairways. Seriously? How big is this place and what is will all the stairs? Do the British purposely make buildings to be like a big-ass maze? While I am cursing out this freaking house in my mind Kato is strangely silent. I glance over at her to see why she isn't gushing about how happy she is to be here and I notice where she is gazing. Yup, Sebastien's butt. That glorious rump. She must have gotten caught in it's hypnotism like I did earlier. I look back at her face to see her drool a little. My sister is having dirty thoughts, I am guessing very dirty thoughts. Sighing I shake my head.
"This is where you will be staying with the other maid, Mey-rin. I shall bring in another bed later." Sebastien pushes open a large oak door to reveal the room. I peek around him to see a large room with two beds, two wardrobes, and a changing screen. The window on the far side of the room was open, allowing a refreshing breeze to float around the room. One bed had rumpled sheets while the other was covered in dresses. Other clothing items were littered across the floor along with a few books, probably steamy romance novels. I saw another door to the right that was currently shut. Oh please, please let that be a bathroom with plumbing. I'd give my left boob for that to be a decent bathroom. I don't want to have to use an outhouse. Yuck.
Closing the door after a few moments he turns around, "I'll show you to the kitchen before I leave with the master. The others will most likely be lazing around there." With long strides he begins down the hall.
Okay. I'm going to remember how to get from my room to the kitchen. I have to remember. You hear that stomach? We have to learn this route, it's important to our health. Come on, we got this! All I have to do is remember landmarks and it will all be fine. First, turn left at the potted plant that looks like a troll's foot… then head down the stairs...then turn right...take another right at the Rembrandt painting...go up the stairs… and turn left. Do you remember all that tummy? Sebastien opens the third door down the hallway and goes in.
"These two will now be working with you four. They are staying in your room Mey-rin. If you will excuse me I have to prepare the carriage." In a flash he was out the door leaving Kato and me to stare at the group seated at the table.
"Cutie!" Kato jumps forward and grabs the poor gardener. I suppose that is the result from making her resist her fangirling instincts when we met him earlier.
"Hi." I mumble as I wave awkwardly.
"Miss! Where are your clothes? You are going to catch a chill, you are." Glancing down, I remember that I'm wearing a bikini top and capris. We are going to have to get some new clothes.
"I dunno, I like 'ow she's dressed now." Bard grins.
"Pervert. I um...We had a luggage mishap?" I dig my messenger bag I had looking for the shirt I had put in there for when I got cold. Perhaps cosplaying as Cana was a bad idea, then again I didn't think I was going to be thrown into another universe. Thank you oh so wonderful author. Please note my sarcasm. Ah-ha, there you are you little bugger!When I pull on the shirt I look up to see a startling sight.
Oh my glob! I think K is killing Finny! His face is a dark red and he is gasping.
"Kato! Let go of him."
Looking down at him she realizes what her choke hold of love had done. Kato quickly lets go of the poor guy. "Sorry! It's just that you are so adorable!"
Looking a little worse for wear Finny smiles while taking deep breaths, "It's." breath, "Okay." breath, "Miss."
What am I to do with her? Rubbing my head I motion over to K, "The girl over there is my younger sister Kato and I am Kisa."
Bard puts his hands behind his head and sets his feet up on the table leaning back in his chair, "I'm Bard, the chef 'round 'ere." Nodding his head at Tanaka who was across from him, "That's Tanaka, resident tea expert and steward."
"My name is Finny! I'm the gardener." Finny says while smiling and bouncing up and down. Wow, he made a fast recovery from being nearly strangled to death by Kato a minute ago.
With a light blush Mey-rin shyly waves at us, "I am Mey-rin and I'm the maid. It is so nice to finally have more girls here, it is."
"It's nice to meet all of you." I say with a smile.
"So where are you from? You don't sound like a Brit."
"Bard! That's rude. You can't just ask like that." Mey-rin says after smacking him on the back of the head causing him to lose his balance and his chair to fall forward.
"Oi! I was jus' asking."
"It's alright. We're from the United States."
Bard narrows his eyes at us, "So you're Yanks."
"So you're a Lobsterback."
"Good point." He sticks his hand out to me, "No hard feelings?"
I shake his hand, "Nope."
"That's so far away! Do you miss it?" Finny stares at us with wide eyes.
"A little, but it hasn't really sunk in how far from home we are yet." Kato replies.
I hope we can get home, because I don't really want to be stuck here, especially with all the crazy stuff that happens. Wait, what part of the time line did we land in? Oh crap on a cracker.
I'm not really sure where I want them to have shown up on the story. Do any of you have any suggestions?
