Chapter 19

Carly of course was very happy with her progress in the classes, that she used to have big problems in and thought on the way to the next class for today: I'm so thankful for Freddie tutoring me this much, without him I certainly wouldn't be able to understand the stuff we do in Chemistry that good right now. The rest of the school day, Freddie and his girlfriend of course kept sitting next to each other even Sam having to admit that Freddie was pretty smart and she was happy to see her other best friend improve so much in the complicated classes. In chemistry Carly was chosen to present one of her solutions of the class homework and as she got a little bit nervous about that, Freddie tried his best to encourage in that case: "Relax Carls, there's no need to panic because you did very good on the other part of the worksheet on your own, after I've explained to you how it works and did some of the exercises together with you."

Carly finally stood up from her chair next to Freddie, her boyfriend softly squeezed her hand after she grabbed her exercise sheet took one deep breath in and out before she thought to herself: Come on you can do this! As she just concentrated on the soft touch from Freddie's hand for one short moment, all that fear swept away for now and with that newly gained self-confidence she finally stepped to the board and presented her solution. As Sam and Freddie watched Carly writing on the board very closely Sam whispered to him, so that only he could hear it: "You do a good job as her tutor, I've never ever seen Carly participating that much in the classes she hated up until now: Chemistry and Biology."

Of course Freddie was totally surprised because of that compliment, because the most of the time Sam Puckett had been busy to make fun of him at every opportunity that she would get. It took some time to let this entirely sink in before he finally whispered back: "Thanks Sam, I guess that Carly is now better in those classes than before because it easier to understand for her the way I explain it."

Carly was finally done with presenting her solution, Miss Clarkson clearly being very impressed by her sudden improvement as she checked everything that Carly had written on the board but couldn't find a single one. The lovebirds shortly smiled at each other as Carly returned to her chair next to her boyfriend and her best friend Sam, having one huge smile on her face for a while before she paid full attention to the rest of the class again.

Then it was finally lunch time, hand in hand Carly and Freddie walked to the dining hall of the Ridgeway High School. Freddie somehow still couldn't believe his great luck, for quite a while it had really looked like that their friendship had been destroyed forever and now he was finally happy in love with the girl of his dreams. As they had reached the dining hall Sam interrupted his musing as she said: "Let's search for a free table first before we get something to eat guys."

"That sounds good to me." Carly replied without much hesitation and then they made their way through the already very much crowded room in the search for a free table for three people.

As always it took Carly some time to decide what to eat, but then she finally said to the woman behind the counter: "I will take the Spaghetti today too." Freddie of course wasn't really surprised by this, because they both loved to eat Spaghetti even if those out of the Ridgeway High School kitchen didn't taste that good as those from the great Italian restaurant near the Bushwell Apartment Complex. With their trays in their hands the ICarly gang finally headed back to their table, Freddie of course pulling out the chair from under the table for his girlfriend like every true gentleman would do for the woman he loved. The brunette blushed for one tiny second, probably still not totally used to all this and said: "Thanks for being such a gentleman."

He smiled at her shortly as he replied: "No problem Carls, I do anything for the woman I love so much." Sam was surely happy for both of her best friends, finally getting together after all this drama but she couldn't stand all that flirting in her presence: "Can you please start to eat now before it gets cold? Save all that flirting for later." Freddie and Carly where a little embarrassed of the fact, letting themselves being taken away by their feelings and replied in unison: "Sorry Sam." Then the two finally started to eat too, Carly of course couldn't resist squeezing her boyfriend's hand shortly making sure that it went by Sam unnoticed.

They brainstormed for some idea for the next episode of ICarly during the rest of the lunch time, Carly being a little sad during all of this because she wouldn't see Freddie for the rest of the day and really hated the fact of not always having the same classes.

Freddie of course knew that as he later looked at her face for longer, even if she was trying very hard to cover that up as always but he could sometimes read her like an open book even if she didn't like that fact very much. As she continued to eat Carly thought: Get your act together, it's not the end of the world if I don't see him for the last two hours of the school day! Of course she was so happy, to finally getting rid of this jerk Pete and still couldn't figure out why she had actually fallen in love with that kind of manipulative person like he is.

They finally finished up eating at the dining hall, the two lovebirds leaving it hand in hand and both of them didn't want to let go that fast. Both of them totally ignored Jennifer and Pete as they passed them by before they arrived at their lockers, to get out the books for their two last classes of the day. Sam then decided to leave the lovebirds some space and said to her best friend: "I see you in class Carls."

"Ok see you later Sam." Carly shortly replied because she was already so much busy with spacing out a bit because of Freddie's wonderful eyes, even if she tried very hard not to act like a love sick teenager all the time. The two just looked into each other's eyes for a minute before Freddie asked: "So…Do you have any plans for tonight after ICarly?" She smiled because of that question shortly because she already knew exactly what she wanted to do with him tonight: "What about a nice little dinner at my place? "

"That sounds very good to me, but only if you are careful in the kitchen." He replied and gently strokes her right hand as he smiled back at her.

"Yes Sir, I promise to not burn down the kitchen in my apartment." Carly replied with a huge grin on her face and shortly after that the first bell went off, signaling them that they both had to go to their classes now. But because they both didn't want this moment to end just yet, they kept staying at their lockers until the final bell went off and Carly finally said: "Okay that unfortunately means it's time to go, so I see you after school."

Then she shortly kissed him on his right cheek and that was surely making his knees weak a little bit every time she did that.
