"So-" I begin to say but before I can even think about finishing that sentence I feel a hand lightly brush over my upper arm. Screaming I bolt across the room and jump into Bard's lap making him fall back. Both of us land heavily to the floor.
"Bloody 'ell! It's just Mister Sebastian!"
Lifting my head from where I had fallen on top of Bard I look over to the door and see a smug demon. Gah! He did it to me again! Growling I sit up and shake my fist at him, " What is the matter with you?! Wear some bells and stop being a ninja!" Probably not the smartest thing to do, but I am so mad I don't really care.
"My apologies for startling you again Miss Kisa."
"Don't you play the gentleman with me! I know you thought it would be hilarious scaring me again." Why is he so mean to me? It isn't my fault Kato molested him or that we fell into this stupid place.
"I would never dream of being so crude miss." he says with that smug smile still on his face. Oh what I wouldn't give to smack that smirk off his face, but he would probably kill me if I even tried. Instead I'll just settle for glaring at him.
"My dear Sebby!" Kato screams while beginning a slow motion leap toward her dear demon.
Wow, she seems to be making a habit of this. First Sebastian then Finny and now she wants to glomp Sebastian again. But I can't have that. I'm mad at Sebby and I'll be darned if I let my sister fawn over him in front of me. I grab her ankle mid flight to her love and slam her back down to earth. It's a good thing I did grab her, because the glare of disgust that he is giving her is poisonous.
"Did you forget something Mister Sebastian?" Finny asks tilting his head cutely to the side. Who could have been cruel to someone so adorable?
"The young master has changed his mind and wishes for our new arrivals to accompany us."
"But why my sweet? We were just getting to know everyone." Sebastian gives her a scathing look. I'm happy I am not on the receiving end of that glance. I peer over at Kato to see how she is reacting to Sebby's hate to find her smiling adoringly up at him from her spot on the floor. Oh my sweet, naive girl, you are going to get yourself hurt. Meyrin is giving us a confused look, I suppose it isn't everyday two arrivals pop up or when a girl starts throwing terms of endearment at the haughty butler, it is no wonder that she is confused.
"I enjoy you in my lap and all, love, but my arse is startin' ta hurt." Blushing I scramble off of Bard's lap. I grab K's hand and as I rush out the door I take hold of Sebastian's arm, dragging both of them into the hallway. The door quietly closes behind us.
Sebastian just smirks down at us. "If you ladies would please follow me." he says with a slight incline of his head.
I sigh and let my shoulders droop as I walk along behind him. Why couldn't we have been dropped in Naruto? Or Ouran High School Host Club? Something a little less dark and brooding at least.
I hear a giggle followed by an invisible pat on the shoulder. "Now that would have been too easy, don't you think?" she says in a whisper that I assume only I could hear because the other two don't even turn around. Crap! The crazy fangirl writer is back!
Sebastian stops and opens a door, "Please choose one. I shall be waiting out here for you so please do so quickly."
"Have fun ducky," I hear her whisper before I follow Kato through the door. Have fun with what? What is she forcing me t- I stop and stare at all the dresses stuffed inside. How cruel. Kato and I exchange equal looks of disgust. Ugh, dresses. I slam the door close and glare at the piles of offending garments.
"I didn't realize they had gotten so many dresses for the time Ciel went to Druitt's party." I say while poking the pile nearest to me with my foot.
"This means that we missed out on seeing Ciel in a dress, huh. Ah, that sucks. He looked so cute as a girl!"
"We probably missed Madame Red's funeral too. Hmmm…. I wonder." Walking over to the door I pop my head out to ask Sebby, "Has the marchioness recently visited?"
"Yes."
"Thank you." I slam the door shut again while simultaneously spinning around to face my sister.
"Guess what K."
She looks up from her position in front of the mirror, a satiny red dress pressed against her. "Hmm?"
"Blue lobster." A huge smile starts to cover my face.
"Do you mean…" With a flourish she drops the dress and spins to face me.
"Agni and Soma!" We finish the sentence together. Each of us doing a happy white girl dance, consisting of a lot of wiggling and hopping around.
A crazy gleam enters Kato's eyes, "I'm finally going to be able to cross hugging a prince off my bucket list."
"Only if Agni doesn't get in your way." There is a small piece of black material that I see poking out from the bottom of a pile that is sitting on a chair in the corner of the room. I grasp the edge of the material and pull it out. And, I get buried. "Ack!"
Kato rushes over to push the dresses off of me. "No need to piss on my parade sis. I will get my hug from Soma no matter what." Grabbing my arm she hauls me up so that I am standing in front of her.
I glance at her innocent face then quickly shift my eyes down and become really interested in the dress I'm holding. Now would be the best time to tell her about our predicament and the nutty author. But how do I bring it up?
"Kisa," my eyes snap up from the dress to meet her happy blue ones, "relax. Ever since we went into Ciel's study you've been on edge. Don't worry so much, or you'll get wrinkles."
I feel terrible. I've been making my little sister worry about me. Darn you author! My eyes start to tear up. Maybe I should just treat this like a band-aid and do it all at once.
I sigh and pull her into a hug. "We are stuck in a fanfiction of a crazy, fangirl author who told me the only way we can get home is by making Ciel smile." I mutter all this in one breath into her shoulder.
She pulls back and gives me a blank look. "Fanfiction? Author? Ciel smile?" Oh no, I've broken my sister!
I grab her face forcing her to look at me. "K? Earth to Kato. How many fingers am I holding up? Can you spell cup?" I ask, shoving two fingers in her face.
"Two. C. U. P." The familiar gleam of insanity in her eyes returning.
"You nearly gave me a heart attack!"
"It's a lot to wrap the head around."
We hear a knock at the door interrupting our little moment, "Are you two quite finished yet?"
"A moment my sweet Sebby." I could practically feel the waves of hatred that he was directing towards us, well mostly Kato, through the door. He must really not like being called Sebby, or perhaps it has to do with the adjective "sweet." Shaking my head at the absurdity of it I begin putting on the black dress I nearly died trying to get. K grabs a random dress from the pile and begins shimmying into it.
"This is actually pretty amazing. I would love to meet her."
"Who?" Casting a blank look her way I try to tie lace up my back but wind up going around in circles. I bet I look like a dog getting ready to lay down.
"The authoress." Oh, duh. That makes sense since we were talking about her earlier.
We hear a popping noise then, "Glad to hear that duckie. But we'll have to leave that for a later date. We mustn't have the young master wait any longer. Until later my sweets." Looks like she decided to make another appearance.
"Good-bye fourth wall." I mutter under my breath and feel a hand smack the back of my head.
"The heck!" I whip around to see a grinning Kato. The little turd just smacked me!
"Tut, tut. Don't mess with authoress. Now come here sis and do up my corset." I'll do whatever the heck I want to do.
After I finish tightening up K's breath constrictor she whips around and tightens mine to the point of suffocation. Gah, how do women wear these things?! My insides feel like they are trying to squeeze outside. I now realize how Elizabeth Swan must have felt.
Kato proceeds to walk gracefully out the door while I sort of waddle out, trying to conserve as much breath as I can.
"We're ready my love." After shooting a glare at her for the term of endearment he smirks at me. I can't show him how much that pisses me off. He mustn't see how irritated he makes a calm face Kisa.
In order to control my inner rage I ask the smug bumfart, "Where are we going?"
"We are going to a coffeehouse which happens to be the scene of a crime."
Kato and I exchange a grin. That means before the day is out we shall meet Lau, Soma, and Agni. Humming to myself in anticipation I quickly follow Sebastian and Kato down the hall, huffing and puffing from the lack of oxygen.
