Chapter 20

Later as the day at school was finally over, The ICarly gang was waiting outside the Ridgeway High School building for Carly's brother Spencer to arrive to get them back home. The weather wasn't that good today; Carly looked at the dark clouds a little bit worried because she didn't have her raincoat on today. "I will never trust those stupid weather men on the radio again, because it seems to me no matter how their prognosis is it is always totally wrong." Carly says with a little frown on her face, of course Freddie then looked at her with a comforting smile as he said to her:

"You're so right about that Carls, but I'm confident that we will be home before it starts to rain and we eventually catch a cold. "

Freddie of course was very anxiously looking forward to some quality time with his girlfriend tonight and wondered what she had in store for them as dinner. It had been a little bit unusual at first but since he and Carly had been together officially as a couple Sam hadn't been that extreme anymore in mocking him and that had surely made him think that they were finally seeing themselves on the same level. Carly then looped her under Freddie's, gave him a short peck on his left cheek and Sam meanwhile thought: I have to admit that those two look so cute together, even if I've never been the kind of romantic person in the first place and it surely has taken long enough for Carly to finally realize that Freddie has been the right guy all along.

Normally he wouldn't care about something like that that much, but he guessed that Carly Shay was that one rare exception in the rule. Somehow his ego couldn't stand the fact, that the famous web hostess had dumped him for that looser Fredweird Benson and he kind of hated the fact that a few people of his loyal clique had been joking around at School that he probably wasn't Mister unresistable anymore after Pete had practically guaranteed that the thing between him and Carly Shay wouldn't just a short nice affair.

Pete surely was furious now, that the popular web hostess had practically embarrassed him, made him look totally stupid by dumping him for that geek Freddie Benson. But how could he fix this? He couldn't let it slide that some people of his loyal clique weren't taking him serious anymore, because he had a reputation to loose after all and he was determined to get back at Carly to put her in her place. No one embarrasses me like that and gets away with it!

The I Carly Crew was finally back on the way to the Bushwell Plaza Apartment Complex, the three were busy with the final planning of the newest I Carly Episode and of course they had come up again with some great stuff to do in the tonight's episode. The lovebirds were of course also really looking forward to the nice little dinner at the Shay apartment in the evening and Carly had to admit, that she was kind of nervous about it because her clumsiness had the tendency to have a very bad timing and she surely didn't want her dinner with Freddie to be ruined in any way.

Sam surely hated all this whole romantic non-sense but she tried her very best anyway not to show it in front of her fresh in-love best friends, because she didn't want them to think that she somehow felt like the third wheel after Carls and the geeky tech producer of their web show had finally admitted their love for each other. Sam never had been into dating guys in the past, she always had been very busy with getting at trouble at school and barely getting through the classes. Most of the people wouldn't understand why such decent people like Freddie and Carly were, would ever want to become friends with such a troublemaker like Sam Puckett was but in the end the chemistry between the trio had been so good from the beginning.

She was definitely happy to be one of the founding members of I Carly; even it had felt a little bit unusual at first to be some kind of star at school overnight but who wouldn't like to be that popular in their time at the High School?

She surely had been very happy that Carly and Freddie had did everything they could, to avoid the impression in front of Sam that they now cared more about their relationship then their friendship to the dirty blonde. Freddie of course had to get used to the fact, that Sam was being nicer to her than before at first but now he was pretty happy that all this constant nagging from the blonde had come to an end after all these years.

Carly also was glad that she didn't have to step in anymore, when she had the feeling that Sam was taking it a little bit too far again with her usual making fun of the tech geek scheme. Of course Sam would always tease her about being secretly in love with him but Carly had denied her feelings at this time because she was being too busy with chasing after some other guys. During the drive back home Spencer finally asked his little baby sister: "How was school today kiddo?" Spencer surely had been not only happy about the fact, that his little sister had finally got together with Freddie after all these very odd choices in between but also that the I Carly producer was tutoring her in some of her problem classes.

"It was very good; thanks to Freddie's exceptional tutoring I'm getting a lot better in the difficult classes." Carly and smiled widely at Freddie who blushed shortly because of that huge compliment from his girlfriend and Sam just couldn't help but grin shortly at that side.
