Chapter 24

By the middle of the school day Carly had some unexpected visitors at her locker: Sheila Wayne and her loyal posse who was always at her side at her side and up until now Carly had been very glad to be able to avoid any contact with one of the meanest and narcissistic girls that anyone could encounter in High School. Of course Carly had a little concerned look on her face, that didn't go by unnoticed with Freddie and Sam who of course were pretty determined to stay by the brunette's side the entire time. Carly tried her very best to don't let her nervousness be that obvious, so Sheila would think that she could easily intimidate her and the web hostess really didn't want to be considered an easy next victim.

As Carly, Sam and Freddie had finally reached Sheila Wayne and her little posse the web hostess said: "Hello Sheila, nice to see you what can I do for you?" The brunette of course tried her very best to keep her voice as neutral as possible even if she was deep down a little bit worried because of the things that might come her way because of that jerk Pete.

"Hello Carly Shay, nice to see you too and I like to know from you what the hell you were thinking when you tried to steal MY boyfriend from me?" Sheila Wayne said of course the first part of the sentence was her being totally sarcastic in the best way possible as she finally retrieved the evidence out of a little brown envelope and practically shoved it into Carly's face. The brunette web hostess could clearly see that Sam got a little bit agitated now, very willing to get into Sheila's face to end this whole thing right here right now but Carly held the dirty blonde back and said: "No Sam, I appreciate it that you want to defend me but not that way because I want to settle this without any violence."

She also shared a short glance with her boyfriend, who had also balled his hands to fist surely willing to rip off Pete's head right now. But she didn't want him to get in trouble because of her; Miss Benson would probably flip out if her son would come home with a couple of bruises on his hands. Choosing her next words very carefully she said: "Sheila I would never try to steal your boyfriend, even if you probably won't believe me this evidence you have is completely false." To the web hostess it kind of seemed that Sheila had probably had expected that reaction because shortly after that she said in a very sarcastic tone: "Oh sure how could I be so dumb and fall for a fabricated photo? I'm sorry to bother you Carly Shay!"

Of course the brunette Web hostess was no stranger to sarcasm, Sheila Wayne surely was no easy person to crack and if she wanted she could surely make your life a living hell and before Sheila and her posse finally walked away from the scene Sheila looked at the web hostess with one last menacing look and said: "You will stay away from him or I'll make you very miserable!"

Carly sighed and finally said: "There's only one way to end this, even if you probably not going to like my idea one bit, because I'm going to pretend to want to get back with Pete and get a confession out of him that way." Then the web hostess looked at her boyfriend, who clearly had a very grim expression his face right now because he surely knew where this was going. Sam just shared quick glances with both her best friends before she said:

"You can't be serious Carls! Please just let me end this whole thing my way, by beating some sense into this jerk okay?"

Of course she kind of hated herself also for even coming up with this idea in the first place, but the fact just was: She didn't see any alternative right at this moment even if she liked it or not. Deep down she surely had expected this reactions from Freddie and Sam, the dirty blonde had always been the person who would never ever back away from a fight.

"But I've got one tiny problem with your plan: Do you have a Plan B when it fails to somehow get the confession out of him with just working your charm on him?" Sam asked and now anxiously waited for an answer to that very urgent question that definitely needed to be answered before the web hostess was starting with her little scheme against Pete.

Carly definitely had to admit to herself that Sam surely had hit a potential flaw in her little revenge plan that the brunette maybe hadn't given too much thought just yet than she should have. She thought about that little flaw that surely could become a big problem for her before she finally replied: "I know the risk is huge that Pete let's my plan fall to pieces but I'll have to make sure that doesn't happen, no matter what it costs."

For rest of the day Carly couldn't help but think: Would she really be able to go through with the plan, pretending to getting back together with that jerk Pete? If she was honest to herself she didn't like plan as much as Freddie did but was there even an alternative to it that she had maybe failed to notice just yet? Of course it didn't go by Freddie and Sam unnoticed that the brunette web hostess was really distracted for the rest of the school day and especially her boyfriend figured that he had to somehow talk her out of this suicide plan, not just because of the fact that he didn't know if he could handle it that long to see those together again as a couple even if it wasn't real also the risk was just too high in his opinion that Pete wouldn't fall for the goose.
