Chapter 25

Later the same day after school had finally ended Carly was sitting alone in her room at her apartment, because of the fact that Freddie was at the AV Club for an hour. Of course she missed him so much right now and deep down she couldn't help but second guess her decision about her plan to get back at Pete: Could she really do that to Freddie after they had just got together as a couple? At the beginning when she had come up with this plan one thing had been totally clear to her: She really needed to get back at Pete Sampson for trying to make her life miserable, because she just couldn't let this let slide anymore when the time had finally come when enough was enough. But now she couldn't help but think that she might not have thought this through enough, because if she was being honest to herself there truly was one thing that would never apply to her: She could never be that manipulating and fake like Sheila and Pete were.

The whole thing really brought her into a big dilemma, because it didn't seem to her that Freddie had been a big fan of the plan even if he hadn't voiced his protest like Sam did but maybe that meant that he silently supported in everything she was going to do? Carly finally sighed, the more she thought about the whole thing it kind of felt to her like was going to get a big headache at any minute and that was surely the last thing that she needed right now. Downstairs Sam entered the Shay's apartment, Spencer was busy with some new sculpture in the living room area but he wasn't completely focused on that task right now, because deep down he was clearly worried about his little sister who seemed to be very depressed about something. The Artist hadn't been able to get much out of his sister, without getting into many details she just said: "The whole little "war" with Pete still bothers so much Spence and I think that I just need to be alone right now." Even if Spencer was going to respect the wishes of his sister, he couldn't help but wish deep down that he would be able to somehow offer her some support at this difficult time but apparently he wasn't really good at things like this.

The Artist shortly looked up from his sculpture and said: "Hey Sam Carly is upstairs in her room and maybe you can reach out to her a little more than I was able to because she really seemed so depressed about this whole vendetta thing with that jerk Pete. " The dirty blonde had already expected that the web hostess would have her troubles with this whole thing, even if she tried her very best to keep up her mask of strength, trying to pretend that Pete hadn't gotten to her with the constant attacks but deep down Sam was very aware of the fact that it was eating her best friend up inside.

"Ok thanks Spence and I will definitely get through to her, don't you worry about that." Sam said before she finally walked up the stairs to Carly's room, which was right next to the little ICarly studio of course already what she could say to cheer her best friend up again. Meanwhile Freddie was also thinking a lot about what had transpired considering the whole vendetta with Pete and he was sure of thing: He didn't like Carly's plan one bit, even if he didn't see any alternative to it right now but on other side he wasn't sure if the web hostess would really have the guts in the end to go through with the plan in the end.

He had tried his best to not make it that obvious that he was distracted right now, but it probably didn't go by his AV Club Buddies unnoticed that he was surely not fully focused on them at the moment.

Then he finally put those thoughts about the whole thing to rest for now, because he was pretty sure that either Carly wouldn't have the guts to actually go through with her plan or that Sam would be able to talk her out of it before it was too late.

Back at the Shay's apartment Sam carefully knocked on the door to Carly's room, which was slightly ajar before she stepped forward a little bit and asked as she opened the door just a little bit more: "Hey Carls can I come in?" Meanwhile Carly had been so lost in her thoughts that didn't notice the dirty blonde's arrivial in front of her room but after some hesitation she finally snapped out of her little trance and replied: "Of course you can Sam and before you say anything, I know why you're here and I have to admit that I've started to have serious doubts about my whole "genius" plan because I don't think that I can lower myself to this level ever again." The web hostess sighed shortly because of the huge dilemma she was in right now: On one side she clearly couldn't let Pete get through with this but on the side she was also afraid that this plan would maybe not only jeopardize the relationship she had with Freddie there was also the huge risk of the whole thing backfiring on her.

Of course the dirty blonde felt so sorry for her best friend, she certainly was happy not be in her shoes in this kind of difficult situation because she surely also wouldn't know what the right thing would be to do. She took some minutes to think about this whole dilemma, that Carly was stuck in right now somehow of course hoping to able to come up with some kind of solution for this big problem, even if that was surely easier said than done but she didn't want to abandon the brunette at this difficult time.
