Chapter 27
Carly and Freddie had finally made everything ready to get their plan against that jerk Pete in motion and both of them surely hoped that everything would be going according to plan. Freddie worked very hard to get his newest tech gadget ready just in time, it looked just like an ordinary pen and that was surely the advantage of this gadget: No one would suspect that this pen was in reality a little camera that would start to record once somebody wanted to use this one to write like you normally would do with it and now he just had to figure out a way to get this close enough to their "target".
That of course could be the kind of tricky part, because they needed to avoid that Pete was getting suspicious before Carly was actually able to get her revenge against the one person that tried to tear her and her best friend apart forever. Right now Carly, Sam and Freddie were standing at Carly's locker and waited for Pete Sampson's arrival on the scene without drawing too much attention to them of course. Carly secretly hoped that they would get also a little more material for their very special ICarly segment today, in which the person did actually have no idea at all that he, was going to be part of the show tonight. Freddie could clearly see the worry in his girlfriend's eyes and so he softly took his hand into hers and finally said as she faced him with worry filled eyes: "Everything go as planned you've got to trust me on this, okay?"
The web hostess took some time to think; meanwhile Freddie softly squeezed her hand, silently showing her with that gesture affection that he would be there directly by her side to support her no matter what happened. After taking one deep breath she finally replied: "I completely trust you on that, I'm just worried about what backlash there might be if we fail." Softly he then caressed both of her cheeks shortly before he said: "I would lie if would say that I'm not worried about the possible backlash if we fail but as difficult that might be to do, we really need to put all worries to rest for now to make sure that we don't screw this up."
Carly then just nodded in response, Sam was of course very confident that the plan that they had worked very hard would go totally flawless in the end and she was so happy that they were going to get back at that jerk big-time. It took some more minutes but then he had finally arrived Pete Sampson with his new girlfriend, the also very manipulative Jennifer, Freddie's ex-girlfriend before Carly had finally realized that she loved her best friend.
Freddie then started to walk towards the two, he pretended to be too focused on his mobile phone as he pulled it out of the right pocket of his jeans because that was part of the plan how to plant the camera on Carly's ex-boyfriend and Freddie hoped that it would work like had envisioned it when the three friends had worked together on the final details of the plan.
Of course Pete and Jennifer did pay much more attention to flirting with each other the whole time they walked down the aisle instead of sharing any looks with the looser Freddie Benson. As it was planned by the ICarly gang Freddie and Pete finally collided, very quick the ICarly tech producer dropped the little camera, which was disguised as an ordinary pen into the pocket on the front of Pete's shirt before Sampson practically screamed at him: "Hey Benson watch where you're walking you Idiot!" Slowly the two boys collected themselves again and Freddie was surely happy that looks weren't able to kill or else the ICarly tech producer would have already fallen dead to the floor. As Freddie had finally gathered all his books from the ground again he replied: "Sorry Pete, it surely won't happen again."
"That better be true you looser and now get out of my sight." Jennifer then said with a very disapproving look on her face and as the two were finally out of sight, Freddie shortly gave the thumbs up sign to Sam and Carly and that really made the two girls smile brightly. The ICarly tech producer then returned to his Sam and his girlfriend, Sam shortly patted him on the back and stated: "Good acting Freddo that was really a job well done."
To Freddie it was still kind of weird that Sam was so nice to him all over sudden, but he guessed that this was definitely one thing that he would get used to no matter how much time that took in the end. The ICarly gang then had to focus again on the more important thing right now: The rest of the School Day which still lay ahead of them and nobody wanted to be late to their next class with Sam as an exception of course, because Sam was and always would be that kind of person that loved to get in trouble. Meanwhile Pete was somehow still very angry about that collision with the looser Freddie Benson on the way to class and said: "Thanks god I dumped Carly or else I would probably have to pretend that I like her two looser friends Benson and Puckett but to look on the good side of things, being together with Carly Shay even only for a short period of time has certainly proved once again to Steve that I do indeed get every girl that I want."
"Now Steve really owes you big time and he will definitely never ever bad mouth you again like that."
Jennifer said and shortly kissed her newest boyfriend on his left cheek and the two had really become some kind of Power Couple since they started to date each other. Pete laughed loudly on their way to their next class of today and finally said with a big grin on his face: "Can you believe that Carly Shay has been so dumb to think that I really loved her and not only dated her because of her popularity? Just like every girl in the past it didn't take very long to fool her into thinking that I felt in love with head over heels."
In the afternoon on the same day
In the ICarly Episode on this day, there was one involuntarily special guest: Pete Sampson. Freddie had uploaded the footage from the little pen camera on his notebook right after school and now had everything ready to play the video on Carly's signal. Freddie then finally counted down like he always did before: "In Ten….Nine….Eight….Seven….Five…..Four…..Three….Two….One and you're on."
"Hi I'm Carly."
"I'm Sam."
"Welcome to the newest edition of ICarly and before we really get to start our show tonight I would like to get something off my chest. It's about that jerk named Pete Sampson, I've got some bad news for you: I've got it all on tape what you think not only off me but every other girl that you've fooled around with in the last couple of years. You are the dumb one here Pete not everybody else, because you think that life is all about the social status, how much you're popular at school but in reality you're just a big ol'kid stuck in the body of a teenager and Freddie roll the clip."
Freddie then finally played the long clip with Jennifer and Pete Sampson and Carly was pretty sure that those two arrogant persons would somehow get to see this and she hoped that he got the message she was trying to send: Don't mess with Carly Shay and her friends.
