A/N: This story doesn't have many chapters left. I'm sorry it's taken me over a year to update.

The next morning Mona and Angela took the train into Manhattan.

"Angela?" Mona asked. Angela turned from looking out the window to face her.

"Yes?" Angela responded.

"I need to talk to you about something." Angela sighed as her mother talked. This was not going to be good.

"What Mother?"

"There isn't an easy way to tell you this dear, so I'm just going to come right out and tell you," Mona paused, "I'm moving to Los Angeles." Angela sat up quickly.

"Los Angeles? Why are you moving to L.A?"

"I've been thinking a lot about my life lately Angela. Jonathan is grown and doesn't need me. Samantha is starting a family of her own. You have Tony now, I don't need to be here for you so much anymore." Angela's face dropped at her mother's comment.

"Mother, I'll always need you in my life. You can't move to Los Angeles."

"It's already done Angela. You remember David-" She started.

"Yeah, he was that guy you've been seeing lately." Mona nodded as Angela spoke.

"Well, he invited me to move with him to the Sunshine state and it was something I couldn't pass up." Angela glanced at her.

"I don't know what I'm going to do without you Mother." She said. Mona squeezed her hand.

"What did you expect Angela? I can't move with you to Boston," she paused, "that's not all dear."

"So what's the rest?" Angela asked.

"He's asked me to marry him. We're going to get married when we get settled."

"You're getting MARRIED? Were you even going to tell me that?" Angela questioned. Mona twisted her head like she was pondering the question.

"I love you Angela, but I didn't want you to make a big deal about my engagement or marriage. I love you, but I thought maybe it would be better if I did this alone."

"Alone? I feel I should be there for your wedding Mother. I would at least like to meet the man who's about to become my stepfather."

"You've met him." Mona pointed out.

"In passing, I've never even thought about him as a potential father figure. What about Jonathan? Shouldn't he get to meet the man who's going to be his grandfather?" Mona nodded.

"We'll stop by the house before we leave." Angela sighed after Mona finished talking.

"Can I ask a question?"

"Sure, go ahead dear."

"Why did you choose right now to tell me that?" Mona cocked her head to think about Angela's question.

"I'm not sure. It just came to mind and I wanted to tell you," Mona replied. Angela nodded.

"Alright, but don't spring anything like this on me again. I'm not sure if I could take it."

Angela sat at the kitchen table that evening as Tony made dinner.

"I don't know what's going on; our family is going to be spread all over the country." She complained. Tony put a plate of spaghetti in front of her.

"I can't believe Mona is going to Los Angeles," he shook his head, "I'd think of Vegas or Atlantic City as her kind of town. I suppose L.A. has enough people for her. What's she going to do for men?"

"Haven't you been listening? It's not just that she's moving away, but she's waiting to get married until she moves!" Angela exclaimed. Tony's jaw dropped.

"No! Mona's getting married?" Angela shook her head.

"I don't know what I'm going to do," Angela replied softly, "I'm not sure how I'll make it in Boston without Mother's sarcastic comments all the time." She laughed.

"I'm going to miss her, but I'm happy for her." Tony stated and Angela nodded in agreement.

"I am too." She replied, but sighed to herself. "I can I tell Mother what I have to when she's moving all the way across the country? She's leaving at a time that I need her the most in my life."
