An: I understand that Finchel fans are a very passionate fan base. Given the circumstances with Cory's death and the sudden way the dream of seeing Finn and Rachel get back together on the show ended, I know that it has affected all of us deeply. It still doesn't feel real six and a half months later. I don't think it ever will. Cory had that much of an impact on his fans and I know I have said it already but the world feels darker with him gone.
The reason that I said all of that is because I received a very rude guest review that I didn't post to the story because I was told, more like ordered, that I better not include a character. I have had a couple of bad experiences with guest reviews so at first I didn't allow them and now that we can moderate them, I use that option. Nine times out of ten, they are positive but any I receive that are either mean spirited or rude, I will not approve them. People who write stories on this site shouldn't be bullied for doing something they love to do because someone doesn't like that direction of a story or a specific character.
I am one of the sweetest people that you will ever meet but nothing gets my Southern temper going full blown boil than to have someone tell me what I can and can't do with my stories. For me when I am in the process of writing, I go with the flow. I could have an outline and know what I want to accomplish with each chapter but if my muses tell me to take a different direction than originally planned, I give into it. I will accept constructive criticism or ideas being sent to me for what a reader would like to see happen or how I can improve a storyline but at the end of the day, I am the one who has to write my stories and decide what direction I want to take.
Being that this chapter is about Finn and Rachel's honeymoon, there will be more sexual references in this chapter but nothing that will go above the teen rating.
Content Warning: Implied Sexual Situations
After Quinn had been escorted out of the reception by Sue, who had attended the ceremony, things had calmed down. It had taken a few moments to calm Rachel's tears but Finn had handled that perfectly as he had learned to do in both of the times that they had been a couple.
It was now time for their first dance and Walter walked up to the stage with the rest of New Directions behind him. He had gone to LA when he and Bonnie first got married twenty three years ago and had become a successful singer and songwriter. When none of the other boys of New Directions had wanted to even try to sing Finn and Rachel's song, Walter had volunteered bu wanted the show choir to back him up.
"I was told that this song was sung as a duet between Finn and Rachel the first time New Directions went to Regionals. This is for the bride and groom, along with other couples who have found the one that is meant for them."
Finn and Rachel stood up and walked over to the dance floor and he wrapped his arms around her as she laid her head on his chest, the same she did when they had danced together at Prom.
Walter shared a loving look with Bonnie, who smiled softly at him as the music for 'Faithfully' started to play. She felt herself being swept away by his sweet tenor of his voice, the way she had the first time she had seen him in the recording studio.
Highway run
into the midnight sun
Wheels go round and round
you're on my mind
Restless hearts
Sleep alone tonight
sending all my love
along the wire
"He really is a good singer, Rach," Finn softly said to her as they swayed to their song.
"I had never heard him sing before but Aunt Hannah always told me that she would love to hear me sing a duet with him."
"Are you sure that you are okay with what happened earlier?"
"I'm fine. Besides it looks like our families did a good job in getting things back to normal."
"I just hate that it got to that point with Quinn. I honestly thought that she was over me. In fact, I thought something was going on with her and Puck."
"Enough about Quinn and her issues, this is our wedding reception," Rachel said. "I am ready to cut the cake and then get to the hotel suite that my grandparents have arranged for us. I want to be alone with my handsome husband."
Finn smirked as he leaned down to kiss his bride before continuing to dance to their song.
They say that the road
Ain't no place to start a family
Right down the line
It's been you and me
And lovin' a music man
Ain't always what it's supposed to be
Oh, girl, you stand by me
I'm forever yours
Faithfully
Circus life
Under the big top world
We all need the clowns
To make us smile
Through space and time
Always another show
Wondering where I am
Lost without you
And being apart
Ain't easy on this love affair
Two strangers learn to fall in love again
I get the joy of rediscovering you
Oh, girl, you stand by me
I'm forever yours
Faithfully
Whooa, oh-oh-ooh
Whooa, oh-oh-ooh, oh
Whooa, oh-oh-oh, oh-whoooooa-oh
Faithfully
I'm still yours
I'm forever yours
Ever yours
Faithfully
Hannah was watching them dance right at the moment when Roberta, who hadn't left with Jackson came walking over to where she was at.
"I think you might want to get out front and use your considerable influence in this town to keep the groom from being arrested. It seems that little blond decided to continue to cause trouble."
Hannah ignored the questions she had about why a woman that had no ties to her niece except for her marriage to Jackson had decided to stay for the wedding and deal with more drama caused by Quinn Fabray.
She walked out of the backyard and came across Hiram and Leroy talking to two police officers. The former looked like he was ready to lose his temper with the two men in front of him when Hannah came walking up.
"May I help you officers?"
"We had a report that a young woman was assaulted here and we have some questions for Finn Hudson and Hannah Coleman," the older officer, a Hispanic male in his mid-forties. He was about six foot two with olive skin along with dark hair and eyes. He had a tough demeanor and wasn't listening to a word that Hiram and Leroy had tried to tell him.
"I'm Hannah Coleman and nobody was assaulted here but not for a lack of trying. One of the bridesmaids was escorted off of the property after she tried to slap the bride and the groom grabbed her arm to stop her from hitting his wife."
The older officer scoffed and Hannah had to fight not to go into bitch mode with him. So she decided to play nice with him and if that didn't work, she would go over his head to the Chief of Police, who was an old friend of James' and at the wedding.
"Well we had a report from Judy Fabray that her daughter Quinn came home with a bruise on her right eye from where somebody had hit her. She told us when we got there that it was Finn Hudson who had hit her," the younger officer stated, trying to defuse the situation. He ran his fingers through his blond hair and wishing that Mark wasn't as narrow minded as he was.
Hannah groaned in irritation before starting to speak and hopefully keep Finn from being arrested for something he didn't do.
"Officers, I promise you that Quinn Fabray didn't have bruise on her eye when she was escorted off the property. In fact, I can show the video that is being made that shows what really happened and that she came close to assaulting my niece Rachel when Finn grabbed her arm to stop her."
"Fine but if I see that you are lying to me, I will take you downtown," Mark stated. "I saw that girl's face and there isn't any way in hell that she wasn't hit by somebody. Until I see some proof that she is lying, I am going to arrest Finn Hudson."
"Like hell you are, Sergeant Hernandez!"
All five sets of eyes turned to see a heavy set older African American male in his late fifties and about five foot eight come walking around the side of the house.
"Chief Parker," the younger officer said with fear in his blue eyes. He knew that Mark's attitude had just gotten him in trouble and that he was stuck between a rock and a hard place. He might have to go against his partner in order to keep from losing his job and risk pissing off his fellow officer for not backing up his partner, no matter how wrong he was.
"Officer Sinclair, go inside with the Bride's fathers and look at the video of the event in question and have the people making the video give you a copy of it."
The younger officer didn't say a word and followed Hiram and Leroy to the backyard. Hannah stays there, wanting to watch the arrogant officer gets his comeuppance.
"Office Hernandez, you have been warned about jumping to conclusions."
"Chief, you didn't see that girl's face and until I have proof that says Finn Hudson didn't hit her, all I have is her word."
"I understand that but Mark, your attitude in this situation leaves a lot to be desired. I was there and saw what happened. The young woman in question tried to assault the bride and Mr. Hudson prevented her from hitting his wife but he never hit her. So that was done after Miss Fabray was escorted off of this property. Which is what Jeff will see on the video, so when he comes out with a copy of the video tape, I want Quinn Fabray charged with filing a false police report and if Mrs. Finn Hudson wants to file attempted assault charges, you can talk to her in two weeks when she comes back from her Honeymoon."
The Chief turned around and walked back to the wedding reception. Hannah started to follow him, smirking in delight at the asshole cop getting what he deserves.
"I bet you think that was funny," Mark snapped at her.
"Yes, I do. You came here jumping to conclusions and getting ready to arrest my niece's husband on the word of a vengeful young woman who is pissed that she isn't the one who married him," Hannah replied. "You got taken in by a spoiled little princess who has yet to figure out that in the real world, unlike high school, being pretty and popular doesn't mean shit. That there are serious consequences to filing false police reports."
Hannah turned to walk away before looking back at Mark, who had turned to go back to his squad car to wait for his partner.
"You know if you weren't such a jerk, I might have invited you back to my hotel suite for a drink after the reception was over. Too bad, we might have had some fun," Hannah winked at him before turning to walk away.
Later that night, Finn and Rachel were lying in the whirlpool tub that was located in the hotel suite of the Lima Holiday Inn where they were staying overnight. In the morning, they would be on a private plane to LA where Walter and Bonnie were letting them stay in their Oceanfront mansion in Malibu. For a week, they would be alone until Adam and Alyssa, Walter and Bonnie's twenty two year old twins would come to stay at their parent's home in the opposite wing of the house. The plans was that they would show Finn and Rachel the tourists attractions of LA and take them to some parties at some of their friends' houses.
The second the cake had been cut, they had quickly tried to make their way to the limo that had been rented to bring them to the hotel. Although Rachel had momentarily gotten distracted by the sight of her Aunt Hannah, Bonnie, Justine, Kathy and Abby the wives of the other two Morgan brothers, Roberta, Samantha the wife of the oldest Craig brother, Carol, Camilla, Christina and shockingly Emma Pillsbury all laughing at the fact that Hannah had hit on the officer that had been trying to arrest Finn. She had then heard her aunt call him 'Officer Hot' and the older women started laughing again.
"I can't believe Quinn tried to accuse you of hitting her. I bet she did that to herself," Rachel commented as she cuddled into Finn's chest.
"Rach, we are naked in a hot tub after just having amazing sex three times in a row and you really want to talk about Quinn again. She isn't worth it," Finn commented. "Besides there are other things that will be a lot more fun that we could be doing."
Rachel glanced over at the King size bed that was also in the huge bedroom of the suite and smirked at the sight of all the blankets scattered on the floor. They had been all over each other the second they got in the limo, making out until the driver had to knock on the window between the front and back seat to let them know that they were at the hotel. They did a pretty good job of keeping their hands off of each other until they got to their room and were alone before making love on the bed, the floor before making it to the hot tub and going at each other again. It was like they couldn't stop touching each other in every way now that there would no longer be any parents to stop them.
"I like the way you think, Mr. Hudson."
"Thank you, Mrs. Hudson-Berry."
"Actually I am going to go with Rachel Hudson in our private lives and keep Rachel Berry for my stage name. So Mrs. Hudson is fine with me."
The two of them shared a passionate kiss that led to other more pleasurable activities. All they wanted was each other.
Hannah was sitting in the bar of the same hotel, having a white wine and smirking at the sight of Officer Hernandez walking her way. He was out of uniform and wearing a form fitting pair of black jeans and a gray t-shirt that showed every muscle on his body.
"What brings you here, Officer?"
"The Chief told me that I needed to apologize to you and that you were staying here. I figured I better do what he says or I will never hear the end of it," he said the scowl that had been plastered on his face when she first met him, replaced by a smirk that turned her insides to mush.
"How about we take this to a private table?"
Hannah got up off of the stool she was sitting on, grabbed her drink and walked over to a private table located in the back of the bar. She watched as Mark ordered a drink, pay the bartender for it and come over to the table, a bottle of Bud Lite in his hands. He sat down across from her and opened his beer, taking a drink of it before sitting the bottle down on the table.
"I apologize for how I acted earlier. I have a personal issue with women being abused by men but after watching the tape and dealing with Quinn Fabray, I can see what you mean about her being a spoiled princess. That girl is going to have a hard time in the real world acting like that, no matter how pretty she is."
"Apology accepted. Now there are more important things to talk about besides Quinn Fabray. I don't see a wedding ring, Officer Hernandez so are you dating anybody?"
Mark smirked at Hannah before replying. "No and I have never been married. Most women have issues with marrying a police officer and dealing with the possibility of their spouse being shot in the line of duty. My partner is married and his wife drives him crazy wanting him to quit and work for her Daddy's law firm."
"I can understand that. Most men have a problem with dating women that run a multibillion dollar corporation and can handle herself just fine on her own, rich men are even worse with that then the poor ones."
"I have met Hiram and Leroy Berry before and they never let on that they are both related to very wealthy families. I did know about General Berry but then when a Medal of Honor recipient comes to town and was the Chief of Police's commanding officer for the short bit of time that he served in Vietnam, you remember things like that."
"General Berry is one of the best men that I have ever known in my life but then so are all five of my brothers, my grandpa Morgan, may he rest in peace, and Leroy."
"You have five brothers?"
"Yes. Hiram is my half-brother while my adoptive mother had four sons when she adopted me after my parents died when I was nine years old. So any guy I got involved with also had to deal with getting the life scared out of them by my brothers and Leroy. There were also Jackson and Titus Craig who, despite the feud between their mother and my adoptive mother, were also very protective of me."
"Hearing that almost makes me want to change my mind about taking you up on your offer."
Hannah was in the middle of taking a sip of her wine and had to swallow quickly to keep from spewing it in shock.
"It seems somebody also told my Chief what you said to me and he told me that if I had any sense I would take you up on it. His exact words were that I needed to seriously get laid before he and my fellow officers shoot me for being an uptight jackass."
Hannah didn't say a word; she got up from the table, held her hand out to Mark and walked out of the bar. She quietly led him to the front desk, placed an order for a bottle of white wine and strawberries to be brought to her suite and led Mark over to the elevator.
They stepped into it and noticing that they were alone, decided to start their party early with a kiss that Hannah felt from the top of her head to the tips of her toes. This made any kiss she had shared with Jackson pale in comparison and all thoughts of missing him go out of her head.
Rachel and Finn were lightly dozing after making love a couple of more times before they were woken up by the sounds of very loud sex coming from the suite next door. It took them a few seconds to realize it was coming from Hannah's suite and Rachel's face turned red in horror, especially when she heard her aunt hit notes that could compete with her.
"I guess 'Officer Hot' decided to take her up on her offer," she said, burying her face in Finn's chest as he laughed his ass off.
"Your Aunt is a beautiful woman and Puck was seriously considering hitting on her if he hadn't of known for a fact that she would have kicked in the balls for his trouble. Let her have fun while we focus on us. Besides I think we could make you hit some notes that could freak her out just as much as you are right now."
Rachel smirked at her husband before pulling him down for a kiss. She ran her fingers through his hair as Finn trailed open mouthed kisses down her throat before going back to her lips and kissing her again. He had fun touching and kissing her in the ways he knew would make her moan the loudest, smirking as the noises from next door stopped before once again losing himself in his wife. He planned on spending a lot of time in bed with Rachel the first week of their Honeymoon and doing everything he could to fix his diminishing problem with the 'mailman' in her arms.
Quinn was staring at the wall of her bedroom as she thought about the fact that she had been arrested for filing a false police report. She then grimaced at how angry her mother had been at her for lying to her about who had hit her in the face. How she had to tell both her mother and the cops that she had gotten into her car after Sue had dropped her off at home and drove to the park where she paid a homeless man a hundred dollars to hit her before going back home.
Now she had to go to court before leaving for Yale in two weeks. She hated Finn, Rachel and manhands stupid Aunt Hannah more than anything right now. They had caused this to happen.
Quinn was pulled out of her thoughts by a loud knock on her window. She saw Puck and grimaced at the look of anger in his hazel eyes.
"Open the window, Quinn before I make so much noise your mom will come running to see what is going on."
Quinn got up and opened the window, watching as Puck climbed in the window. She could see how angry he was and knew another lecture was coming her way.
"What the hell are you doing? You know damn well that Finn didn't hit you and for you to file a false police report just because you heard some things that you didn't like is the stupidest thing you have ever done. You found out that Finn realized that Rachel was his first love and not you, get over it. He dumped you to go back to her and married her instead of you. Grow the fuck up. Do you realize that if Rachel wanted to, she could file attempted assault charges against you? The police are only waiting for her to come back from her Honeymoon and tell them if she wants to file charges against you. Do you want to mess up going to Yale before you even set foot on campus? This isn't high school, Quinn. It's the real world and they don't give a damn if you were Head Cheerleader and the most popular girl in school. The bullshit you got away with in high school will get you in serious trouble."
Puck didn't say another word, he went right back out the window and climbed down the tree. He got into Santana's car and left. He looked at his former sex buddy and now friend, both of them feeling helpless as to what to do to get through to Quinn before she got into serious trouble.
AN: I am trying to decide if I want to bring Mark back into the story for Hannah and either move him to New York as a cop or leave him in Lima for a bit. I really liked writing their initial conflict and flirtation that led to them having a one night stand.
Finn and Rachel will start the move into New York in the next chapter where they will start to set up their apartment, unless I decide to write the rest of their Honeymoon in LA before getting into that part of the story.
