This takes place in mid-July.

Their moms had decided to give them a little alone time. Annie and Mary had decided to take all of the kids to Chuckie Cheese. Sure the babies were too little to enjoy it really Artie's sisters and Sam's siblings would and their moms could drool over the babies. Their dads were off at a sports bar watching a game.

The two boys were on their bed. Just lying there. "Babe, I have something I want to talk to you about." Artie looked over at Sam. "What is it babe?" Sam took in a deep breathe. "Artie… I think you're suffering from depression…" Artie tensed in Sam's embrace. "Look babe; please don't be mad at me. I know you probably don't want people to be accusing you of things. I just want to help you. Crying every night is not normal. You're withdrawn and sad. Please just don't be mad."

Artie turned over so he was facing Sam. "When I was eight I was in a car accident. It's what put me in the chair. I wouldn't talk to anyone and I cried every night. No one held me. Everyone was too afraid to break me. No one ever said anything. Even though I had no will to even live anymore. Then one day they sent in a lady named Miss Laurel. She made me talk. Then she prescribed me these little blue pills and then suddenly the world was okay again. It was still bad some days but for the most part it was okay."

Artie closed his eyes tears streaming down his cheeks. Sam kissed his forehead. "Sam, I want the world to be okay again. Please?" Sam kissed Artie promising he would make it okay again. How the hell he was supposed to do that he really didn't know.

Sam didn't really know what to do to help Artie so he called Kurt for some advice.

"Hey Sam! How's Artie doing?"

"Good we talked about it and he said he wants me to help him."

"That's great! Where is he now anyway?"

"In the shower."

"Ah ha. So why exactly did you call."

"Well I talked to him and he asked me to help him and I just don't know how to."

"Oh I see well look I'll text you the name and number of the therapist I used when my mom died and during my dad's heart scares. Basically I used her for any traumatic event till I met Blaine."

"Thanks… so what changed when you met Blaine?"

"His love carries me through it all."

"Oh…"

"Oh! Sam that doesn't mean that he doesn't love you! Look Artie has been through a lot in his life. From what I get he's probably been struggling with depression since he was eight years old."

"Yeah you're right but he's done showering now so thanks and talk to you later."

"Bye."

Sam walked into the room as Artie pulled on his t-shirt. "Why can't I help you? Kurt was sad and then Blaine came and his love fixed it. Do you not love me? Do you not believe that I love you?" Sam watched as Artie started sobbing. Then he watched as he left. Simply wheeled out of the room then out of the front door." So I guess this is it! All that having our children, wanting my help, caring about me! All of it was a lie!" he watched as Artie still sobbing wheeled down the street.

That night when Annie came home she came home to Sam sobbing. She looked around the room and realized her son wasn't there. It wasn't hard to realize that the boys had had their first major fight.

Artie stopped a few blocks away from the house and called Tina.

"Hey Artie! How are you?"

"Tee…"

"Oh my god Artie what happened you're crying and I can tell."

"Sam and I had our first fight."

"Where are you I'll come pick you up and you will tell me everything."

Artie told Tina where he was. Within ten minutes Tina was pulling up in front of him and helping him into the car. Once they got to Tina's house her mom offered them cookies and soda. Which they politely declined, instead they went straight to Tina's bedroom.

"So what the hell happened?" Artie sighed wiping his eyes. "He told me he thought that I was depressed earlier and apparently he talked to Kurt while I showered. He went on a rant about not loving him and how come his love couldn't help me. And then I just left." Tina sighed hugging Artie and rubbing his back. "Boy you need to go home and let that boy know that you love him." Tina stopped and pushed Artie arm's length away. "You do love him right?" Artie closed his eyes and sighed. "Yes. More than words can explain." Tina pulled Artie close to her and told him that she was bringing home in the morning and that they were making amends.
