Chapter 8: Another Blonde!?

"BANG"

Lucy P.O.V

I cautiously opened my eyes... I was on my knees, and there was smoke everywhere, but I could clearly see red liquid on the ground, on me! I widened my eyes in horror. " This smell... This is b-blood?!" I scanned the area around me, the children were screaming and crying...but okay. Suddenly I heard Sting call my name, and I whipped my head around to look at him, with an exasperated facial expression, begging for help.

Sting P.O.V

The moment I burst through the door, It was extremely misty, But I saw Lucy. She was stained with blood all over and shaking with fear. On instinct, I dropped the guild master and ran to her. I grabbed her and tightly hugged her. "Lucy! Thank God you're okay! You're okay, right?" I exclaimed as I desperately clung onto her shoulders, breaking my embrace. "Sting... I-I don't know what happened..." Lucy said, with her lips quivering. All of a sudden, I heard silent sobbing from behind the smoke. I squinted my eyes to look towards the source of the crying, the smoke was finally clearing up.

Behind all the smoke, emerged the same blond haired girl from before, crying her eyes out next to a dead body... The body of the biker dude! H-his head... Is gone! There was an insane amount of blood pouring from his neck, forming a huge blood pool around him and the girl. The smell of copper, that metallic tang was constantly ravaging nostrils. "Wha- What's happening here?!" I couldn't register this properly, it was by far the most disgusting image I had ever seen. Just then, I heard Lucy gasp. Without thinking, I extended my hand out to her. She took it without any objection, proceeding to stand up while holding onto me for support.

"Hey... Kid, you alright?" I asked, even though I knew she wasn't. For Christ's sake, she's freakin' covered with blood! "I'm sorry...I'm sorry... I'm sorry..." was all I heard. She kept whispering "I'm sorry" under her breath. Her eyes were as wide as saucers, with tears pouring from them, like waterfalls. With one glance, you could see that she was gripped with nothing, but fear. Who is this girl?!

Normal P.O.V

When the two adults regained their composure, they quickly got back to work. Lucy gathered the frightened children together, reassuring them it was alright now. "Don't worry everyone. Everything's okay now. All the bad guys are gone, there's no more danger!" She said, trying to convince them, although she herself wasn't. She took a quick glance back to the blonde girl, still in the same position. Sting had removed the body away from her, and had gone back into the guild to collect all of the villagers belongings. "Open, gate of the harp, Lyra!" Lucy ordered. Lyra came out from the celestial realm with all smiles, then frowned when she saw what was laid out before her. "Princess..." "Please don't ask. Just... Please sing them a song to calm down." Lucy said, ending with a sigh. Lyra nodded, and did as her queen ordered. Lyra's song had even reached the blonde girl. And as she was starting to fall asleep, Lucy carried her to where the other children were falling asleep. Taking a closer look at her, Lucy noticed that she had smoke emitting from the palms of her hands. Lucy pondered for a moment, connecting the dots in her mind. Just then, Sting emerged from the guild carrying a sack with all of the villagers belonging. "Are we ready to leave?" he asked solemnly. Lucy nodded, she was still carrying the little girl in her arms. The little blonde was as snug as a bug in a rug. Lucy sent Lyra back, and woke the children, then they all began to walked back towards the village.

Lucy P.O.V

"Hey Sting?","What's up? You want to ask me out after seeing how cool I was?" I could tell Sting was trying his best to cheer me up. I giggled in response. "No, silly. This girl... I'm pretty sure she blasted that man's head off. You thought so too, right?", "Yeah. Her magic, is pretty unique... I've never seen it before." he replied seriously this time. "She's special." I turned to Sting as I said this, and he nodded in response. I continued, "I read about this kind of magic before. It's TNT magic. It's a kind of bomb magic, as the name suggests. It's a lost magic too. You have to be born with it, there's no learning it. The magic is just... A huge amount of explosive energy being released from within..." Sting nodded his head thoughtfully, letting me know he was following. Then he turned around and started walking backwards. "Oi, you guys, do any of you know about this girl?" he asked casually. "She doesn't have any parents!" one child shouted. "I've seen the Mayor and her releasing bombs in the woods before!" another said at the same time. Then they all stated shouting out facts about her. "SHHH. One at a time! Okay. Who knows her really really well?" Sting asked again. The children all looked at each other. Then slowly, a girl with pretty wavy blue hair raised her hand up. Her hair reminded me of Fairy Tail's lovesick Juvia Lockser... Sigh, I wonder if she and Gray have gotten together already. I need to visit Fairy Tail soon, I miss everyone, but Sabertooth's just as good.

Sting P.O.V

"Okay Bluebell, what do you know about little miss boom boom over here?" I said, gesturing to the blond girl. The blue haired girl blushed wildly, but unfortunately not in embarrassment, but anger. She had a fit. "Excuse you. I'm not 'Bluebell', I have a name. And it's Jasmine. And she's not little miss 'boom boom', she's my best friend, Camille." "Uh... Okay?" I said without care. Bad move though, I got nudged by Lucy in the rib, followed by getting my ear pulled by her, "Be polite to ladies!" she whispered angrily. Oh man, she's cute when she's angry, especially when she pouts afterwards. Wait. Sting Eucliffe, get back to the subject at hand.

"Okay, sorry about that, Jasmine. Continue you're story, please?" I said with emphasis on the please, then I faced Lucy, who flashed a sweet smile at me. Wow, being nice is awesome! Okay okay, back to the topic. " Camille was abandoned at birth. Her parents were afraid of her powers... So they left her and fled. The Mayor took her in, and taught her how to control her powers. I've- I've never seen her do something like that... Before." "Wow. Okay. She must had a pretty rough childhood." I said, thinking back to how I was when I was younger with Lector. "Yeah, especially since all the other children were afraid to become her friends!" Jasmine continued, glaring at everyone. "Uhh... Wh-where am I...?" a gentle voice popped up all of a sudden. Camille had woken up.

Lucy P.O.V

"Uhh... Wh-where am I...?" I glanced down to Camille, who was fluttering her pretty cerulean blue eyes open. "Camille, you're awake!" Jasmine exclaimed, rushing towards her best friend. I put her down, letting her receive Jasmine's warm embrace. Embrace? Suddenly the image of Sting hugging me back then flashed before me. The way he had held me so tightly, with his arms wrapped around me like I was the only thing that mattered in his world... I could feel my face heat up. I tried to steal a glance at him, and he was looking at me...with a steaming red face too!?

Sting P.O.V

Seeing Jasmine and Camille hug reminded me of how I had hugged Lucy. Her fragile body in my arms felt like heaven. Although she smelt like blood, I could smell her vanilla and strawberry. Embracing her... Was like nothing I've felt before. It was like time had stopped for a moment. As I turned towards her, I realized she had been looking at me too! Crap.

Normal P.O.V

The two blonde lovebirds were staring at each other. Both red in the face, and if you looked close enough, you could see steam being emitted from the crown of their heads. "Are you guys okay? You two look really... Warm. Do you guys have fevers or something?" Jasmine asked, breaking the hug with Camille. Snapping out of their awkward moment, the two blondes answered rapidly at the same time,"NO!","NOTHING'S WRONG!", "WE COULDN'T BE HEALTHIER, SEE?" and then they whacked each other. Still blushing madly, they looked at each other from the corner of their eyes, and yes, at the same time again. *BLUSH*

Camille P.O.V

After hugging Jasmine, I felt safe. Jasmine always had that calming effect. But still... The video of that man... Getting his head blown off by me is still vividly playing in my mind. Why. Why did I have to be cursed with this power! I wish I could kill myself sometimes, but this stupid magic won't let me... is gone now, even if I go back to the village, there's nowhere for me to go... I don't belong here...

-Back at the Village-

The villagers were all awaiting out arrival. When the children saw their families, they ran toward them without thinking twice. The only one who didn't... Was Camille. She stood behind Lucy and Sting with her arms crossed, and wished she was invisible. Sting then carefully placed the huge sack he was carrying down on the ground and revealed the village's belongings. On top of them, was the guild master of Hades Wrath. " The master of Hades Wrath!" the Mayor's wife exclaimed, briskly walking forward to slap him awake. He awoke, then activated his magic. He was engulfed in fire. "Hmm, a fire magic user huh..." Sting stroked his chin, then whacked him on the head, knocking him out cold again. "What a loser... How can a guild master be so pathetic?" Sting said, shrugging, "Hey Lucy, after this is all sorted out, use you're weird binding magic so we can question him." . "Hey! It isn't weird! It's called Heavenly Chains, mind you." Lucy stuck her tongue out, then pouted. She knew Sting thought it was cute.

After everything was sorted out, the Mayor's wife followed Sting and Lucy to question the guild master.

Lucy P.O.V

I chanted a spell and performed my Heavenly Chains. The Mayor's wife started first, "What did you horrible people do to my husband!". The guild master stayed silent, not caring. I tightened his chains. "OW! Geez okay, I'll tell!" wow, he's really easy. He continued, "We were ordered to capture any celestial mages and send them to... Um... I think I've said enough?". "What do you mean enough? All you did was say 18 words!" Sting said, clearly annoyed. He grabbed the guild master by the collar, and dangerously said, "You're blood gonna be the one spilling everywhere if YOU don't SPILL.", which I had to admit, was pretty hot. Sting was extremely good-looking, but together with the whole bad boy thing, it was enough to make my ovaries explode sometimes. OKAY. That was some weird thought that must never be said in front of, well, anyone. The Mayor's wife's face grew tense, as she asked "Is... My husband d-dead?". At this moment, Sting shoved the man onto a tree, "Answer her!". "O-okay,okay! No need to get so rough! But I don't know whether he's dead or alive, okay?! We handed him over to them alive, but I don't know whether he's still alive! For all I know, they may have already killed him! Who knows! Maybe he is the famed 'Star Goddess' or 'God'!" he shrieked. "Star Goddess...? You mean he'll die if he isn't..?" I asked quietly, knowing that myself was the Star Goddess. "Yeah lady. They have been looking or the Star Goddess. We small dark guilds have been bringing them all kinds of celestial mages. But so far, there hasn't been any news of a Star Goddess or God, so unfortunately, I think he's dead." the guild master replied plainly. With that, the Mayor's wife broke into tears, "He was such a good man! Why? Why did he have to die? He didn't deserve this!". I tried my best to comfort her, after all, I know what it feels like to lose a loved one...

"Who is this, 'They'? SPEAK!" Sting continued interrogating him. "I'm not supposed to say! I can't!" "Say it or I'll blow your brains out! I've done it before, you don't wanna test me!" Sting threatened. Wait is he serious? He's blown someone's head off before?

"Dammit! Fine! It's... 'They' are..." the guild master looked around cautiously before he opened his mouth to whisper softly," 'They' are a powerful dark guild called Tri-" Suddenly, an arrow appeared, stabbing him in his heart. He's... Dead? Shit. We let our guard down. Sting and I quickly scanned the forest we were in. It seems that the killer had left already though. Whoever the killer was... I'm sure it was from the dark guild that's collecting celestial mages in search of the Star Goddess... But why? I need to find out. And I'd better be careful with using magic from now on...

We escorted the Mayor's wife to her home after we handed over all of Hades Wrath guild members to the Council, and collected our reward. On the way out of town we decided to grab a bite, Sting went to get food while I waited in the village's garden. While strolling, I saw Camille sitting on a park bench alone. I decided to walk over and talk to her, "Camille? What are you doing here alone? Where's Jasmine?" I could tell she was surprised when I spoke. "Oh... Jasmine's having a family reunion now. Well actually the whole village will soon be celebrating the children's return, not that I'm welcomed or anything." Camille said sadly, hanging her head low. "Why wouldn't you be welcomed? You're apart of this village aren't you?" I asked, concern showing all over on my face. Camille continued,"I don't belong here. My parents didn't want me so they threw me here... I was lucky enough to have Mr. Mayor and Jasmine... But now Mr. Mayor is gone, and Jasmine, well she isn't like me." "Oh Camille... You have a very special gift, you know? Why don't you come with me and Sting then? Join Sabertooth!" I said cheerfully, sincerely hoping she would agree. Camille cringed at the words 'special gift',"Special gift huh? This 'gift' has brought me nothing but misfortune." she said. I understood how she felt. "I understand, Camille." I said, but all I got from her was a face saying "No, you don't. And you will never." I was determined to change her mindset. "Yes Camille, I really do. You feel so helpless that you don't know what to do anymore. You wish you could just die so nobody else has to suffer. But you also wish that you could tell someone you're suffering, at the same time. You just want the wind to carry you somewhere else. I can be that wind. I can let you be happy, I will. Just take my hand, and you will be able to start a new journey." Camille widened her eyes. I could tell she was considering.

Camille P.O.V

I wasn't sure whether I should take Lucy's hand or not. She wasn't completely right about how I felt, but she got the gist of it.

Leave everything I have behind, and start a new life? I don't think I could do that... But wait. I have.. nothing. I have nothing to lose, and if I take her hand, everything to gain. I made my mind at that moment. I didn't need to think much at all.

Sting P.O.V

Man, everyone is preparing for the return of the children. It was super hard to find a food stall. Hopefully Lucy likes hot dogs. When I got to the garden, I saw Lucy and Camille, holding hands. Lucy then noticed me and lightened up immediately. Cute. I walked towards them, " What's going on here? A blondies reunion?" I joked. "Haha. Very funny Sting. Actually, Camille has just agreed to join Sabertooth! She's coming back with us!" Lucy said, with one of her bright cheerful smiles, the kinds that make me feel butterflies . I know, pretty gay, but when it's Lucy, it always happens..."Damn, but this means I can't be alone with you, Luce!" I say jokingly again, satisfied with Lucy's blushing.

-Back at Sabertooth-

"Ugh...I need to puke..." I ran over to a bush and vomited. "So, all dragon slayers are weak when it comes to trains?" Camille asked innocently. "Not just trains, Cami, basically, any form of transport, except flying." Lucy answered, in an as-a-matter-of-factly manner. We had gotten pretty close during the train ride back, despite my motion sickness. Turns out Cami is just a normal girl. Although she's still shaken by the blowing off the biker's head incident, she's trying really hard to move on. We learnt that Cami enjoys drawing, shopping for clothes, and her favorite food is cherries. She also said that she wanted to be superhero named Cherry Bomb, so we decided that we'd actually call her that in battle. Cami's also super powerful. She could probably be in par with us if she practiced. On the way back to Sabertooth, we passed by an accessories shop, and Lucy bought her two hair ties with cherries on them. She even got me a white bandana. I'll treasure it forever that's for sure.

When we entered the guild, it was chaos. Orga screamed a girl, Rouge was pointing at Cami like she was some human abomination, and everyone else was shocked, with the whole mouth and eyes wide open. "AHHHHHH OMG" "ONE DAY AND 'THIS' HAPPENS!?" "I SHOULDN'T HAVE LEFT YOU ALONE STING IM SORRY". We didn't know why they were reacting this way, and Cami was probably experiencing a culture shock. "What do you guys mean? What happening?" Lucy and I panicked. "YOU GUYS... HAD A KID?!" the entire guild shouted. Lucy and I just stood there speechless. Cami was just laughing. Lucy then got angry... Like, real Lucy angry. "You Idiots how could we have a kid! She's 9 years old! Oh my stars so help me cleanse them of idiocy." she screamed, face palming herself. The whole guild then laughed and we introduced Cami to all of them. We had to wait for Minerva to approve of her but she was on that 3 day "quest" with Rufus so we had to wait 2 more days. When Lucy was bringing Cami back to her and Minerva's house Cami said aloud, "Sting aren't you coming? We're going home." I blinked, and replied "Cami, I don't understand why I would go home with you and Lucy..." "What? Don't you guys live with each other? Aren't you a couple?" Cami said aloud again, oblivious to the bitter end. Then the guild acted up again. "WHAT. YOU GUYS DIDN'T MENTION BEING A COUPLE AT ALL." that was what was being written on their faces. Dammit Cami.

Normal P.O.V

The girls was crying over Sting being taken. The guys were crying because they didn't get a chance with Lucy. The guild was overreacting like crazy. Orga came over to Sting and was all "YOU DOG! HOWL HOWL~GOOD JOB STINGY STING STING YOU GOT THE GIRL~" he sang. Sting struggled to look for Lucy in the crowd. But to no avail, instead he found Rouge. Being over emotional. "Sting... buddy, you finally got a girl... I'm proud of you bro...sniff" "Why the hell is it weird that I got a girl?!" Sting said glaring at him. But wait. He didn't. "Where is Lucy?" he said under his breath.

Lucy P.O.V

"Cami! Why'd you have to say that so loud!" I exclaimed, clasping my red cheeks with my hands. "This is so embarrassing! How am I supposed to face Sting now!". After Cami had blabbered all that nonsense I dragged her out of the guild. "But you guys were so much like a couple... I just assumed... You guys look really good together by the way, like a match made in heaven." Cami said, purposely trying to change the subject. "You really think so?" I brightened up at the thought of me and Sting looking like a cute couple. Then went back to blushing madly. Why am I thinking of such... Inappropriate things! "Cami c'mon, we're going home right this instant!" I wanted to go home so desperately, ugh, I was dreading tomorrow so much.

-The End-
