A/N: yes, I am aware that it has been forever since I last updated. Yes, I am sorry. No, the next update will not be quick because I am working just about every day until school starts on the 1st. The next chapter might be longer though because I'm going to try to wrap it up soon.

Night to remem 6

"Breakfast!" Regina jolted awake at the loud noise, before promptly falling out of the small bed.

"Shit, Gina, you okay?" Emma asked, her head appearing over the side of the bed, a half-amused half-worried face peering down at her through a mess of blonde curls.

"Why the hell is your bed so small?" the brunette groaned, pulling the blanket she had taken down with her more tightly around her body.

"Cause there were already six people living in this house before blondy and her little bro showed up on our door step," Ruby muttered from underneath her pillow.

"Did you pull a Fosters on them?" the younger brunette muttered as she stood, keeping the comforter wrapped tightly around her body. Her and Emma had arrived at the blonde's house around midnight, after a not so nice parting with Cora and the banquet, and neither had bothered with adequate clothing for sleep. Regina probably would have at least put a shirt on if she had known Emma shared a room.

"No," Ruby paused, pulling the pillow off of her head and sitting up. "Well, yeah, kinda, 'cept she's gay and didn't try to suck face with Robin."

"Shut up," the blonde groaned, pulling the sheet over her head.

"Emmy, you're going to mis-oh, hi, Regina," the young boy stopped in the doorway, his small brown eyes darting back and forth between the two girls.

"What do you want, Henry?" Emma asked, turning her head to look at her brother.

"You're going to miss breakfast," he squeaked.

"Thanks kid," she smiled. "Just give us a minute to get dressed." The little brown haired boy nodded before scampering from the room.

"You sure I haven't jumped into an episode of the Fosters?" Regina raised a well trimmed eyebrow at her girlfriend.

"Shut up," the blonde groaned, throwing her pillow over the side of the bed.

"That was oddly mature of you though," Regina muttered as she stood up, keeping the blanket wrapped firmly around herself.

"Two mature acts within twenty-four hours, wow," Ruby exclaimed quietly. "That's one for the record books."

"What was the other one?" the younger brunette asked, looking back and forth between the other two girls and shifting uncomfortably from her state of undress.

"She managed to refrain from groping the hot naked girl in her bed last night." Emma's head snapped up, sending a not so nice glare at her foster sister as Regina let out an embarrassing snort.

"Keep in mind I'm in control of your clothing situation," the blonde grumbled, causing her girlfriend's face to fall

"Oh, Regina, I didn't know you were here," Louise exclaimed when the three teenagers made an appearance in the kitchen almost twenty minutes later.

"Yeah, sorry, my mother didn't seem like seem like she wanted me around anymore," Regina shrugged and shoved her hands into the pockets of the jeans Ruby had lent her.

"Well, what's another kid," Gregor said with a chuckle as he handed a plate of pancakes to their guest.

"More dishes," Robin grumbled.

"And actual human companionship for the nerd," Tink added under her breath before shoving a fork full of pancakes into her mouth.

"I heard that," the younger blonde snapped as she fell uncerimoniously into her usual chair, patting her lap in silent indication for Regina to sit. The young girl, still feeling slightly like a stranger in the crowded house, looked around anxiously at the other kids eating, none of whom seemed to be paying them any attention.

These people eat like pigs, Regina thought as she watched them all stuff their faces. I wish my home was like this.

"Sit, I'm hungry," Emma said, pulling Regina's attention back to her. The brunette hesitated for another second before stepping forward and perching gently on the younger girl's knees. "You don't have to be shy," Emma muttered as she wrapped her arm around her girlfriend's waist and pulled her backwards so their legs were forming an 'x' and Regina's back was against the arm rest. "You comfy?" Emma didn't wait for an answer before dragging a plate of slightly burnt pancakes to the edge of the table, adding a pile of bacon and drowning it all in syrup.

"That's not very healthy," Regina finally said as the plate was placed on her lap and a fork in her hand.

"Would you like to go make yourself a salad?" Emma teased as she too began stuffing her mouth with food.

"Hell no, this is awesome," the brunette exclaimed, digging into the over sized pile of food.

"I'm not going home," the young girl insisted, firmly planting her feet and crossing her arms over her chest. Emma ran her tongue over her lip as the almost too small shirt was pulled tight against her girlfriend's skin, and suddenly she was glad it wasn't her job to try and make Regina go home because she was just about ready to tie her down and never let her leave.

"Regina, sweetie, you're going to have to go home eventually," Louise tried to reason. "She's your mother after all, I'm sure you two just need to talk it out a little. I'm sure she'll understand your side eventually, yo-"

"No," Regina snapped, cutting off the older woman, "she doesn't listen, to anyone. Once her mind is made up there is no changing it. The only reason I exist is because she couldn't travel back in time and do all the shit she couldn't and didn't before she became power hungry."

"I'm sure that's not true," the other woman's tone sounds contradicting, but her expression was filled with sorrow and forgiveness.

"You are more than welcome to stay here as long as you need, Regina," Gregor said in the silence that followed. "But that doesn't mean we won't try to convince you everyday to go and talk to your mother."

"Try all you want, it's not going to happen. I doubt she even still wants anything to do with me," the brunette muttered, the possibility of swaying her opinion obviously very similar to her mother's.

"Fuck, Regina," Ruby exclaimed in a quiet yell as she burst into her hers and Emma's room. "Aw, guys, stop fucking and hide, your mother is here."

"We're completely dressed!" "No, no, no, please no." Each girl grumbled as they attempted to disentangle themselves and straighten their respective clothes.

"Can you distract her?" Regina practically begged as she buttoned her blouse up.

"Already on it- well, Henry and Roland are on it anyway." Emma smirked, knowing her brother could keep someone occupied for hours with the stories he could make up.

"Regina Mills!" All three girls jumped, looking to the door as Cora's voice echoed through the hall.

"She looked about ready to strangle me when I opened the door," ruby muttered, her gaze never leaving the doorway.

"Where can I hide?" the younger brunette asked, her hair spinning wildly as she searched for a place to avoid her mother.

"Regina, dear."

"Shit, shit, shit," Emma gasped, jumping up from the bed and running into the closet, pushing all the hanging clothes aside and climbing up onto the shoe rack. "Hope you're not scared of spiders," the blonde called over her shoulder as she reached up to the ceiling.

"I'm more scared of my mother," Regina muttered under her breath as she scrambled up behind Emma, using the younger girl's hands as a ladder to pull herself up into the dusty attic.

"Get out of my way you insufferable child."

"Does that woman eat puppies for breakfast?" Ruby gasped as she quietly closed the door, hopefully buying them a few more seconds, before flopping down on her bed.

"I wouldn't be surprised," Emma grumbled, watching as her girlfriend's foot disappeared into the darkness above her. Red painted lips and scared brown eyes appeared again a second later as Regina peered out.

"Don't get hurt for my sake," she said. Emma was almost tempted to climb up into the attic and give the brunette all the love she deserved, instead she settled for standing up on her tip toes and kissing the older girl.

"I'll try, but I'm not letting her get you. I- I love you too much."
