Chapter 17-

Tris's POV

SMALL RECAP… (The doctor says, "Well, will is…)

"Well, Will is going to be just fine." I let out the breath I'm holding. Christina's eyes bug out. I hug her and she cries tears of joy in my arms.

"He's gonna be alright! He's gonna be alright!" She pulls back and wipes the tears off. She grins at me. I look straight at Tobias. He grins and wraps me up in a hug. I kiss his lips lightly and break off quickly knowing that the doctor is still there.

"He should wake up soon, but he's been mumbling a name. I'm going to go listen a little and then come back to you and tell you who he wants." The doctor leaves and there is an awkward silence. I just sat there and stared off into space. The doctor comes back pretty quickly. Thank god.

"He's saying the name Tris. Or Beatrice. I'm not sure. Is any of your names Beatrice, or Tris?" I raise my hand and nod.

"My name is Beatrice, but everyone calls my Tris."

"Great, follow me." I give Tobias's hand one more squeeze. I get up and follow the doctor into the room. He motions for me to enter and I slowly turn the knob. I push the door open and I see a very quiet and still Will. I walk over to him and take a seat next to the bed. I take his frail hand in mine.

"Hey Will. It's Tris if you're wondering." He slowly moves his eyes open and he stares straight at me.

"Tris?" His voice is coarse. I grab the cup of water and slowly move the bed up so he can take a sip.

"Thank you. For everything."

"What do you mean?"

"I was a little conscious when you found me. I heard everything you said. I felt you stroke my hair. I heard you crying Tris. Thank you for caring about me so much." I nod my head.

"You scared the shit out of me Will. I thought we had lost you for real." I squeeze his hand and brush his hair out of his eyes.

"Do you want me to go get Christina?"

"Not yet. I want it to be just me and you for a couple of minutes."

"Ok. Do you need anything?"

"No I'm fine thank you."

"No problem. So why were you in the house anyway?"

"Well I wanted to invite Christina on a date because I wanted to ask her to marry me. I put the flowers and the note on the bed and then I started getting really dizzy. I sat down on the floor and I was just going to wait till Christina got home. Well I started seeing black dots and then I heard you and well you know what happens next."

"I really was worried about you. I could barely drive here by myself. They wouldn't let me ride in the ambulance so I drove like a mad man to get here with you. I'm surprised I didn't get a ticket." He laughs softly.

"Can I have some more water?"

"Of course." I grab the water and hand it to him. He takes big gulps of it.

"Easy there tiger. I bet you don't want the hiccups right now." He nods and sets the water down.

"You can get Christina now if you want." I slowly kiss his forehead and walk out the door. I walk through the long hallway and into the waiting room. I motion for Christina.

"He's in room 320." She nods and hurries off to get to him. I return to my seat next to Tobias and sigh.

"I'm going to go home alright?"

"That's fine with me, let me just say good bye to Will and then I'll drive with you." I nod and Tobias gets up to join Christina. He comes back fairly quickly and shakes his head.

"I literally opened the door screamed good bye and ran out that's how gross it was." I giggled slightly. Oh the things Tobias can make me do. I follow him out and unlock my car. I climb in and take a deep breath. I follow Tobias out of the parking lot and I drive straight home without any music on. As soon as I get in the house I walk into our bedroom and plop down on the bed. I bury my face in my knees and rub my temples.

"Is everything alright Tris?" I look up and nod.

"I'm just a little stressed." He nods and sits down next to me. I lay my head in his lap and sigh. There is so much cap going on in my life I can barely think straight. I slowly sit up and grab a pair of shorts and a tank top. I quickly get changed and climb under the covers.

"Good night beautiful."

"Good night handsome." He grin at me and kisses me softly and slowly right on the lips. I stroke his hair and curl up on his chest. He wraps his arms around me and I slowly drift off to sleep.

There ya go! I didn't kill Will! Soo it's like midnight right now and I am so ridiculously tired. Ughh. Well anyway I hope you liked this chapter. It's coming to an end soon! I am both happy and sad.
