Elsewhere, in a field, we see a Waddle Dee walk by. Said Waddle Dee happens to pass by Prince Fluff. "Hey. A Waddle Dee." said Fluff. Another Waddle Dee walks past him. "They sure look different here than they do in Patch Land." continued Fluff. Unknown to Fluff, King Dedede was standing behind him. Dedede then smacked the yarn prince with a hammer. The swing was so strong that it sent Fluff flying into the sky. He then fell down as a trophy. "He'll make a fine fighter. I know that hand is hiding something and I plan to find out what." said Dedede. "Sire, some one is coming." said a Waddle Dee. "Everyone! Hide!" yelled Dedede, leaving Prince Fluff's trophy as bait. Waddle Doo was driving by in a pickup truck. The trophies of Adeline and Bandana Dee were in the back. "Oh, another trophy." Waddle Doo said as he stopped to pick it up. "I wonder what happened to this guy. Oh well. Not my problem." said Waddle Doo was he picked up the trophy and threw it into his truck. Dedede's swarm of Waddle Dees then er, swarmed Waddle Doo. "Hey! What's the big deal?! Get off me! Hey, give me back my wallet!" said Waddle Doo, struggling to escape. Dedede then climbed into the driver's seat. "Hey! He left his keys in here!" said Dedede before driving off. The Waddle Dees then started running to their king. Waddle Doo, on the other hand, got up and dusted himself off. He then noticed his truck and it's contents were missing. "Hey! Get back here with my stuff! I stole it first!" yelled Waddle Doo.
Meanwhile, in a forest, we see Shadow Kirby walk up to a pedestal. A sword is lying inside the stone. Shadow Kirby then pulled the sword out. "The Master Sword, the blade Light Kirby used to slay Dark Mind... I finally found it! Well, that was easy." said Shadow Kirby. He then started to walk through the forest. Nearby, Nago the cat was sleeping on a stump. The sky then turned red and the ground rumbled. Shadow Kirby turned to see the Halberd. Specks of Dark Matter then littered the forest floor. Shadow Kirby then unsheathed his new sword to fight the swarm. Nago, who was now awake but still drowsy walked up to Shadow Kirby. "What time is it. Hey, what's going on?" said Nago in between yawns.
One fight and one explanation later...
Shadow Kirby and Nago were running through the forest to catch up to the Halberd. They stopped on a cliff only to see the Halberd far off in the distance. "Darn it!" said Shadow Kirby. "Hold up! I know a shortcut! Follow me!" said Nago. The two then run down the cliff to a nearby lake.
Meanwhile, on the Halberd, a cardboard box is seen. It slightly moves a little before becoming motionless.
