Gibson gritted his teeth as he looked towards the red simian. It was the only thing he could do to stop himself from repeatedly hitting his head on the lab desk. As a last attempt to ease his troubled mind, he swivelled his chair around in time to see Antauri hover over to Chiro and Otto.

"Chiro, once you have finished your breakfast, I would appreciate a moment of your time to discuss some issues with you" Antauri asked kindly, as he watched Chiro glance to him.

The boy gave a curt nod. He was still very unsure and weary of the black primate. However with revived energy and rest, Chiro felt ready to take on and retaliate anything that was thrown at him verbally now. Physically he was still hurting, which was annoying for the boy, but he would get by. He always managed to, one way or another.

The breakfast was pretty uneventful after that. Nova joined Otto and Chiro for breakfast as the other three moved out to the main control room. From what Chiro could fathom they were messing about with the main computer. He was curious, naturally. But he had always been very nosy; this quality had both got him into trouble and saved his bacon numerous times.

"If there out there messing about on the computer shouldn't you be out there helping them Otto?" Chiro asked innocently, as he was surprised when the green monkey abruptly jumped up on his seat.
"No need! I already fixed that. I finished fixing up the control room just before lunch yesterday." Otto answered with some gusto, as he jumped back down into his chair.

Chiro just grinned. The green monkey appeared to be innocent, if somewhat naïve. But if you looked deeper, there was a very intelligent monkey lurking under that green metal. It just unnerved Chiro that such an extreme monkey would be given saws as weapons!

"You should go see Antauri, Chiro. I'll take the dishes" Nova offered, as Otto was soon up again and stretching. Everyone had finished eating now, and had resorted to small talk to pass time.

"Yeah I should probably test run the engine room and make sure their responding to the systems" Otto said through a stifled yawn. "I'll see you at lunch." Otto said in his normal happy demeanor as he bounded out the lab.

Chiro watched as both monkeys excused themselves as they left to go return to their respective jobs. The boy grinned, peace at last! This is exactly what he needed, time alone and time to escape. Granted, the later would take more time but he would not give in!

Reaching into his pocket he carefully pulled out his last and only packet of cigarettes, before reaching for the lighter too. He needed this. There was no black monkey's annoying telekinetic games to worry about and no other rainbow coloured monkey to interfere either!

Maybe he thought to soon. Unfortunately for Chiro within a couple of minutes of lighting up, the blue monkey wandered aimlessly back in.

Much to his dismay this simian did not look too pleased either! It was then a silent stand-off began.

The irritated expression and narrowed eyes were enough to tell Chiro it was game on! One silent chance was given to obey. It was like playing games with a school teacher. Just like normal, it was never going to happen!

With a drawn out breath, the boy smirked, keeping his glance on the monkey. He was confident now. He reckoned he had the upper hand of four of the five monkeys. It was only Antauri who he struggled to top. The geek was not a problem at all. His point was proved when the blue monkey looked away. His smirk only grew wider as he continued to tease by smoking from afar. As Chiro reclined, in what he thought was victory, he soon got a massive shock.

Out of no-where, a sudden blue laser hit straight into the contents in his hand. The nearly full cigarette packet he was clasping in his hand, had just received a skilled direct hit. The contents self-combusted and disintegrated instantaneously, falling as black ash through his fingers and onto the metal floor.

The boy's eyes were so wide with shock it took him some time to register what had just happened. His jaw had literally hit the ground and the exasperated gasp only concluded that the boy did not expect a trick like that. He was absolutely mortified! The geek had just... He… just... couldn't believe it. Chiro was gobsmacked. It was horrifying! It had happened so quickly, before his very eyes! He wasn't prepared for a trick like that, he never even saw Gibson take aim!

Had he been gloating that much?

It was then his mind clicked. The sudden events had been processed and the fire in his eyes suddenly appeared with vengeance. There was only one target of this wrath, and he was about to experience it, first hand.

The blue primate, who carefully blew the tip of his drill like a gun, suddenly smirked back at the boy. The science officer, who was clearly pleased with himself, it was a direct hit. The boy's hand was not even scratched, but those little death sticks had met their maker. Gibson was now dishing out his own version of mockery to the boy. He could play the same games Chiro could, if he really had to resort to such low tactics to gain the upper hand, then so be it.

"Now if you would kindly put the last one out, you will not be upsetting any of the combustible chemicals I store in this room, and I won't have to risk aiming at your face for my next shot." Gibson concluded in a matter of fact way.

The boy was infuriated now. Nobody challenged him like this and got away with it! Nobody even dared tell him what to do either. He would not allow it!

Chiro's earlier suspicions were confirmed. The monkey still had his left hand changed into a laser drill, and he had the balls to admit his actions to his face. Wrong move and error number two!

In one swift move, Chiro took one last long puff on his nearly finished cigarette before suddenly crushing it in his hand. "You'll regret that monkey!" Chiro challenged darkly as he went to stand up.

Really sorry for the slow update everyone … life has been really busy and after hitting a brief writer's block it was difficult to continue. But now I feel re-inspired with this story after thinking up some even better ideas. I Hope you enjoy! xxx
