Applejack trotted over to her siblings. Apple Bloom was chattering away about how excited she was for tonight, which was when her friends, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle, would come over to try to find their cutie marks, and Big Mac was calmly listening, every once in a while muttering a quiet "Eeyup."
Hey, ya'll," AJ greeted. "I've got some news to tell ya, but first we gotta get Granny Smith out here."
"Ooh, what is it?" Apple Bloom wondered aloud. "Is it somethin' surprisin'?"
"You get yer britches!" Applejack said, thinking about just how surprised her sister would be when she saw what she had in mind.
The smaller pony followed her big sister over to the house, pestering her with questions the whole way. Applejack didn't respond to the questions, not wanting to lie, but not wanting to give away the truth yet. She clopped through the door.
"Granny Smith!" she called out, wondering where her grandmother could be.
"I'm in here, young'un."
The voice was coming from the living room. Applejack walked in.
"We have some guests I want ya to meet," she said cheerfully.
Granny Smith nodded. "Alrighty." She got out of her green chair and followed AJ to the door.
When the three other Apples had been gathered, Applejack went to get the turtles. "Ya'll can come out now!"
Leo stepped out first, preparing himself for horrified screams. Somehow, they never came. He looked back and gestured to his brothers, who followed him out.
The expected reaction from the ponies - immediate terror - never came. The air wasn't filled with the sounds of terrified equines.
"Um... hi?" Leo offered as the turtles approached the family of ponies.
The smallest one, Apple Bloom, gasped suddenly. "Oh my goodness, you look so awesome!"
Well... that was... unexpected.
The small pony hurtled toward the turtles. "Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh! Are you ninjas? Where did you come from? Why are you turtles? Can you teach me how to fight?" She seemed to be everywhere at once! Leo was somehow a bit intimidated by the little yellow filly.
"Calm down, Apple Bloom," Applejack said gently, a bit of laughter entering her voice.
Apple Bloom stood in place, but still bounced up and down in place with excitement.
"Oh, oh! Can you stay to meet my friends tonight? They're staying over, and I know they'll wanna meet ya!
Leo glanced nervously at Applejack, who nodded slightly.
"Yeah, we can... stay to meet your friends..."
Mikey smiled at Apple Bloom. "You seem cool, little pony dude!"
Apple Bloom giggled. "I can't wait to tell Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo!"
As Apple Bloom rambled on, Granny Smith took a few steps closer to the turtles. "My granddaughter can get a bit overexcited," she said, her voice a bit shaky with age, but clearly still accented in a similar way to that of her two granddaughters.
Leo nodded dismissively. "It's alright. I'm Leonardo. These are my brothers, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo."
Mikey groaned. "Last again?"
Leo ignored his brother's remark. "We came through a portal from a different world, and Applejack kindly let us stay the night in one of your sheds."
"Interestin'," the elderly green pony said. "I'm Granny Smith. Yer welcome to stay as long as ya like, but I gotta warn ya: things can get a little strange 'round here with the fillies and the Everfree Forest so nearby, and all."
"Trust me," Leo replied. "We're used to things getting weird."
"Well, in that case, we could use some help with harvestin' the apples. Would ya'll mind leandin' us a hoof? Ya look strong enough for the work."
The brothers all exchanged a glance.
"Sure. We need something to do anyway."
"There're some barrels over there. Grab some and we can get to work."
The brothers nodded happily and took their barrels over to the trees to begin harvesting the crop of apples that hung above.
A/N: YUS I FINALLY GOT IT UP XD
